I still think he's evil. If you get to the lv56 quest at ep4 you see him at the end of the dungeon. There he reveals that he had some plan to make you fall. He confessed that he made the copy of your character out of greed energy (I assume that's the voice your character keeps hearing in the dungeons). The voice also also said "sorry, Kant. I wasted this chance." (Erwin's perspective)

Interestingly, Kent proceeds to say "everything could have gone smoothly if it without that woman." (Referring to Rosca, I'm assuming.) He continues, "So, come along. I'll prepare everything so you can get started."

Amad continues, "Don't you remember? I'll be happy to toss you a bit of human as prey to help you get acclimated."
(And we know the Sinworkers were murdering humans in droves so that's where he's going with offering human prey...)

So, I think he has evil intentions...possibly trying to bring destruction to the outside world much like how Sinworkers wreck havoc in the void. To do so he needs evil people with power like the sinworkers.

Yet, we don't see any bad Soulworkers/soulforcers in the real world, only in the void. The aforementioned point was brought up by Tenebris. Folowing this, I'd assume Kent/amad would have to make some for his plan.

Again, that's just my conjecture. I think there also might be a greater evil above Amad as well.

Regarding Kent/Amad. I meant as if he's "pure evil" or Chaotic Evil, but rather an anti-hero type, Chaotic good. We don't know anything about the SFL nor NED Company, so his plan might be connected to the downfall of them. Not to mention there was a war five years ago, and he was mostly there, with tenebris. If he was pure evil, he wouldn't be by Tenebris's side unless he is manipulating him(but I hardly doubt Tenebris would allow that, he would see through it). But to be fair, we can't really justify his action until we know his reasons, he might end up being Chaotic Good, or like you assume, Chaotic Evil.

Plus lets not forget what maverick said: "Even if I died, the world will be in better hands" when he was about to fight against tenebris and company in the war. He must be fighting for a formidable reason considering he is all about "justice" (That is most likely his soul power). Regardless, we also still need until it is translated too for more accurate information.

In the end, I am mostly interesting in the story of Soul Worker world itself without the main characters. I honestly have no idea how they will fit the story considering how Fortress ended with "signal" of another soul worker but was never mentioned again.

Haru: According to the Advancement story, haru went rampage because of her mother's death. She used her rage against everything at sight to "revenge" her mother. At that time, when she was consumed to the void, she was filled with pure hatred against the void which might be how the Sin Force took advantage of that, and ultimately enforcing her rampaging. However, according to the Shadow walker herself, the current haru apparently "forgot" her mother's death when in the beginning of the story they showed haru moaning for her mother(plot hole(?)). Perhaps, she meant that the current haru got over her mother's death? Not quite sure. Lets not forget haru went from not giving a crap anymore to thanksimcured real quick(From fortress to GCC).

Erwin: According to everything I've read, the dude "betrayed" the team and became a sin force because he got bored. I understand that Erwin see most of the thing as a game itself, but it comes to killing dozen of people just because you are "bored" is anticlimactic and flawed. First of all, Erwin is portrayed as someone who is a genius when it comes down to intelligence and whatnot, his decision should've been based of his intelligence and wisdom itself not straight out of boredom. When someone initiates cruel actions such as killing dozen of people solely because of "boredom," it only indicates that the person is not mentally sane, a psychopathy at its finest. His reason is really weak and does not align with his personality, unless he is a secluded psychopathy inside. Then, it could've been Valea Viilor.

Jin: So according to Tenebris, Jin was found as a soul forcer in the void, but he decided to leave Jin by himself in hope for him to become a Soul Worker; however, that did not go as planned and he became a Sin Worker? Ok, so here is the thing, Jin's personality is not one that can simply bend as easily. The man himself is the true definition of a passionate hero. At most, the dude hated himself for his inability to keep people safe from the void, yet he still became a Sin Worker? How? I guess this most be part of Valea Viilor's plans.

Stella: As we saw in the video, Stella told the old man to not kill any intruder if they don't approach her. So Stella only killed people out of protection and she was only looking for companions to relieve her sorrow of loneliness. So I guess she is alright?

Lily: Became an evident psychopath, we can see that they don't consider her "mentally well." However, to me it seems she just wanted to commit suicide in a manner that was not considered suicide itself; Fight until she can finally die. I'm guessing this is her way to vent her anger and relieve her sorrow simultaneously. Venting anger while seeking death. I suppose this is how she became "Evil."

Iris: ????? I don't know anything about Iris nor I can theorize or guess her story. Not sure how she will be implemented. I head that she was with Jin and Tenebris on the same group, but that wouldn't make much sense.

In the end, I am mostly interesting in the story of Soul Worker world itself without the main characters. I honestly have no idea how they will fit the story considering how Fortress ended with "signal" of another soul worker but was never mentioned again.

Jin may be inflexible but he still had a desire. I don't think you need to be inherently bad, you just need to have a desire. I'm assuming that the void or Valea Viilor uses that desire to make people commit heinous acts. Evil Haru(that's what I call her) said, "Everyone fights back when pushed into a corner." during the fight with fake Baalride. So I think anyone can be a sinworker.

But the only desire Jin had was saving people which is a positive trait, unless he felt powerless and unable to do any of that, then maybe?

Thanks for the advanced Haru info and the Valea Vilior info. It's also nice to see what others are thinking.

I noticed Jin has a strong urge to destroy the enemy. He does show sometimes show sympathy to enemies, like with the blood soulworkers and that one edgar-obsessed thing from Rocco.

It's reasonable to assume that Jin succumbed to his desire for more power in order to save everyone/wipe out the enemy. The sinforce goes to those who desire power as well, so that's probably why Jin fell, despite being a good person overall.

(Please note that, I've only played Jin up to Ruin Fortress so I still don't know his story for GCC. Just taking a guess from what I've seen and read).

As for Erwin, while he's shown to be the intellectual type, he's ultimately into having fun. Recall that he intentionally walked into the void out of curiosity. I'm pretty sure no sane person would do that. Also, Erwin constantly states that he thinks saving people is fun and thus continues to do so (also because of his promise to Catherine makes him want to save people, see more info below*). So in that way, he's still pursuing something "fun."

He left Tenebris's group to find his "true self" and showed up later as a murderous Sinworker. (I laughed when Tenebris shared this info. Tenebris also said that he never wanted to see Erwin's blood soaked grin ever again. I'm curious what that looked like. I pity Tenebris, lol).

As for his Sinworker enjoying human slaughtering, the sinforce makes your greed overcome everything and distorts rational thoughts. His desire for fun turned to having fun "playing chess with human lives" as Tenebris puts it.

*Erwin promised to marry Catherine in 5 years. He does state he eventually fell in love with her, although he'd at first made the promise without being serious. Throughout the story, you'll see that he does miss her and care for her a lot. To him, the ring she gave him is a vow he plans to keep even after she died. He intends to do this by becoming the ideal man for her and saving the world. This promise ultimately helps him fight off his shadow walker.

Fun Fact: Baalridor is, or rather was, another Combo Comet user. The only other explicit instance of an enemy wielding a weapon that a playable Soul Worker uses is Noemin ("Poison" in the original Korean version), who uses a Mist Scythe.

After advancement, in haru's case, it just a "break" getting over her past and accepting it, which finally oppresses the sin worker inside her(Which i didn't mention before. The Sin worker self it is still inside her and can take over her if chance is given, but after advancement she become "almost" nonexistent). Think of the sin worker self and current self as a double personality, one will have to "die" eventually. The other personality won't actually "die" but rather unable to do anything than watch.

tl;dr: They are proper Soul Workers. Advancement is a stepping stone over their past or you could just call it becoming "mature" version of your teenager self.

Since some of you asked about Iris' Story and why Nathan and Tenebris asked Jin about Iris, I played the main quest with my Iris in GCC and can you tell more.

Yes, I think so, too. When Haru spoke with her "dark side" or "SinWorker-self", she always teleported in her mind/heart. I compare this with the Falls of Truth from the Naruto Shippuden anime. Haru accpeted her past and her SinWorker-self gave up. Thus Haru became a proper / true Soul Worker. That explains the step-up in her power and the new look.

I'm sorry, I've failed you guys. Some things presented irl, and I don't have much time, but I think you should go for it, if not anyone who will update it. If you were wondering how I was going to do it, it was something like this:

Summary/story of the following in this order:

The main story, exclude characters perspective from it, explain the void.

Playable/Main Characters: haru,erwin,etc.

Side Characters: Tenebris, etc.

City lore without character perspective.

Future content that is connected to the story.

Add confirmed theories to the story above. Just do what you think is best and allow room for others to add/suggest/theorize. Or keep it simple and just summarize it, but make sure to includes rules to the thread.

Things you might want to add:

"Please be aware that this thread is full of spoiler, so proceed at your own risk."

"anything related to the story should be posted here" "No spam, etc."

I was going to name the thread "[Official] Soul Worker Discussion Thread" but that's me, you can name as you think it best fit.

As you can tell, the way I was planning to do it takes a lot of time and you have to go back to all the thread we had theories, etc., but you don't need to do that. Perhaps, maybe ask to merge this thread with the new one, that might help.
