A Growing Feedback Thread to Provide to the Soulworker Team for the Benefit of All

  • For the boss token system. Would you say it should be placed for manic dungeons or raids?

Non-raid dungeons should drop only fragments given how the level of difficulty here is much lower than in the case of raids (even though clear times eventually overlap due to the larger number of stages on the side of manics)

Also, dungeon rework? Was there something in KR that was planned to address it?

No there isn't anything planned, that's the point - most dungeons are painfully long, unchallenging and non-rewarding, those craftable rookie raid and grasscover camp sets are useless garbage nobody wants, newbies and loners have access to EC farming only via grutin boxes, THIS IS SO MESSED UP and yet nobody gives a shit.

PS: other core items like Akasha Transmiters, Strength Expansions and Anti-Destructions are STILL being farmed via alts with no high-level farming alternative. Hello? Really?

Hm.. In this case, maybe a rework on loot would be an idea to consider for late content level.

So yes, Energy converter pieces drop in manic of dungeons past level 50 dungeons of manic. (Ruin Fortress and beyond).
Along with those dropping, increase the drop rate of other items to provide more to salvage for things like aethar and so on.

End dungeons on manic beyond 50+ could also provide grutin coin, or a new currency if so be it, to exchange for anti-destructions, strength expansions, costumes, and even akasha transmitters.

This is to encourage the idea that yes, grinding has merit. It can be rewarded for those who actually put grinding in place to earn the currency. This also balances on the idea that yes, Free to Play players can get to where Pay to win players can, but it takes effort. Pay to Win players merely pay for convenience in that regard.

Combining with the bonus key could do well if the loot table happens to get updated to what the feedback post suggests.

Improving on party play could increase the % modifiers given to the party bonus buff, but we could elaborate on that later.

Whales may be annoyed to think of this as a good idea, but if you think about it. The stringent requirements people place for AoV and so on are hard to meet for free to play players, so allowing more ways to get to that gear requirement will allow for more parties to be run and so on.

  • I'm referring to this one.

Basically, bosses will drop Golden Tokens that can be sold to the Recycling Shop (tru Yumi) to gain Recycling Points. The number of Golden Tokens that will drop depends on the level and difficulty of the district.

  • The rewards do seem nice. Just to make sure though, is this something you would want as a permanent add to the game itself?

Or would it be fine to have as a event that happens more frequent?

  • But yes, Untilted , following up for other things you have suggested, such as carrying newbies and so on. #1/2 of the Game-Related feedback would push that idea of the Mentor/Pupil system.

Bringing rewards for the Mentor to stimulate pushing effort to help players.

A lot of towns are lack the players and people generally are left soloing. I believe a mentor/pupil system would be a step in the right direction to alleviate the issue. Also, it could bring more players since friends could recruit more friends and so on.

  • I didn't really understand what they meant with the "flavour of the week": Are they going to make it so every week we get a different outfit for sale? Or will the outfits only be available for one week?

    Hello!

As you might have noticed we have at least 1 shop update every week, so let's say that this one was the highlight of the week. Also, keep in mind that the Grutin set sale has no end for now, which means it will be available for quite some time in the item shop. :)

..She threw away all of her masks and put on her soul..

  • Hello everyone!

First, we would like to thank you for keeping this thread active with your thoughts, opinions and all the new ideas you’ve written so far, since this is one of the threads where our team can have a very clear overview of the community wishes and needs.

We would like to share some more information on the main topics in question:

    :!:Roadmap

As many of you know, our version is following the original one, which means there are many updates to come and SoulWorker is an active project with a full update schedule.

We would like to share a plan of the upcoming updates with you and we are working on providing this soon, but there is a point that always needs to be considered: the timeframes we can provide will always be rough, since possible changes in the game development can immediately affect our release plans.

As a first glimpse of what you can expect in SoulWorker within the next two weeks:

    • We will change the group size requirements for Golden Citadel.
    • This is not enough? Then you can also get ready to fight in the sweetest dungeon against monsters that will haunt your dreams! ;)

Apart from the above, we are working hard on the server merges which will be upcoming in the near future and will hopefully be able to share more information soon! Besides that, the Skyclock Palace will be awaiting you guys next on the content side.

Also with the next upcoming updates, we will include some asked for changes:

    • Dimension Rift: Hiding player and guild names to make teaming up with friends against the other players harder, along with a few changes in the rewards.
    • Expanding the maximum of the available inventory and bank slots to unlock.

    :!:More Content & Events

We are aiming on having faster content updates in order to catch up with the original version and this was our biggest goal from the beginning on. With our last two updates, you can already tell that we are trying our best along with the developer, to release new content as soon as possible.

As we have already mentioned in the past, bringing each update live, requires a lot of work from us and Lion Games – it is not as simple as just releasing all the content here at once. This is a “work in progress” as we are trying to keep up our pace, but also improve it where possible.

Same with the events, we are always pushing for more and cooler events to come, with the next one coming very soon (Easter event). Even though we are a bit limited in this area, since all events need to be created and delivered to us by Lion Games, any suggestions on new events and new content ideas are always more than welcome! (We loved the Time attack dungeons idea!)

    :!:Cash shop Feedback

Integration UI: We are using our own shop as it provides a central solution for almost all our games and provides a greater flexibility in terms of features and setup.

Even though we completely understand your point here and we also like the existing preview they have in KR & JP, this is technically very hard to implement in our own shop, making it very unlikely to happen in the near future. However, we are looking in different possible solutions in optimizing our item shop environment.

Wheel of Fortune and random boxes: We are aware of your opinions and thoughts on this topic and we are looking into different setups for these and already did some different experiments in the last weeks. Your feedback is always welcome – both positive and negative- as we are looking into making further adjustments in the future.

Costumes, hairstyles and returning items: You might have noticed already that we added some of the costumes we previously had available only through random boxes, as direct sales to the shop. This move was very welcomed from your side, since it was a community request for quite some time now, but this is not the end, since we will continue to do so in the future.

For the items that are not yet released in our version, we can also add them in our roadmap, so you could then have an idea on when they will be available.

    :!:Game Feedback

Refer-a-friend & Mentor system: We are searching for ways to bring new people in the game, improve the situation and for all of you to play together. The EXP overhaul and the new Sprint! events were only the first steps. We have potential systems similar to these two you described, especially with improvements in group search already in production, but we would like to read more ideas and suggestions, so keep it up! :)

Marketplace: We are aware of the situation and share your worries on this topic. Server merges are currently our biggest project next to the game updates and we are already working on it, but for the moment there are no further details or a date we can share with you.

New UI: We already had the UI renewal with our latest patch and the Akasha renewal is also on its way and already in our roadmap for the near future.

PIN Pad Feature: The feedback we have about such systems is rather mixed. While it is a standard feature in many Asian MMO- in Asia, here in the West people are often outright repelled by "overengineered features of questionable effectivity".

The PIN Pad security feature is especially used for MMO's that have "PC cafe" features - a favorite way of playing MMO's in several Asian countries. Where many people can access the same PC/IP and hence security is more of an issue. Plus, several systems used here in the west based on PC and IP are...suboptimal if not upright impossible under such conditions.

We do take account security serious though. After all, if issues arise this tends to produce a lot of work for us. We do however actively question if the PIN Pad feature is what you, as in the majority of you, really want.

NPC Loyalty system: This system is very hard to balance and was not added in the other territories that were released after KR and JP – which includes our version as well. While this system is still available in KR and JP, as it is also very hard to remove it there, it will not be added to our, or any of the other services that do not currently have it – as we have said in the past. We will share some additional information about this topic soon.

Dzenai: This is a quite complicated topic, but we are looking into it already. There are certain reasons for the existing cap in trading Dzenai and farming it to a degree.

Any change to those systems requires a lot of attention and balancing them is not an easy task, since even a small error can have an immediate and lasting effect on the economy of the game, so we are very careful with this topic and not taking it lightly.

Party Buff Improvements: As mentioned above, we want to encourage team play, but we will need input from Lion Games on what is possible to implement.

That was a summary of the main details we can share at the moment, keep the feedback flowing! <3

  • Very nice but wouldn't the proper place for this be in announcements since this information is relevant to everybody and not just those who follow the thread

  • Thanks for the response threea !
Currently out at the moment, but once I get back I'll be sure to give read and adjust the feedback post.

To everyone, I know I mentioned it a lot, but if there is something that can be contributed that works for the player and gives GameForge reason to consider it~ please don't hesitate to post to.

Or at least mention your thoughts on what you would like to see and I can do some research on how to make it appealing for both parties.

  • I pray Haru modelling+skill balance+Original Swap costume can all arrive on 4/18 patch :)

I did place in the feedbacks requesting that the limited akasha be placed in the standard buyable akasha card transmitters.

Hopefully it will be considered since it would be a better profit potential vs limited time.

That is true, but it would be out of place since it is a response to the suggestions made within or inside this thread

We would like to share some more information on the main topics in question:

I'm glad to see that you are covering up the main topics, but I'd like to add one thing:

Regarding the upgrading system(NPC Loyalty). Since it can't be implemented, then why don't implement a brand new one?

First of all, we have to understand that this game is an ever-evolving gear; the gear we get will eventually be outdated and new gear will have to be upgraded again. It is a process that will be repeated continuously until the developers or Lion Gates decide to approach a different style; however, since this does not seem to be the case, upgrading should not be deemed or treated as difficult. It should not be easy either.

We also have to keep in mind that the upcoming raids are only suitable for those who have upgraded their gear to the max. Take the recent raid for example, not many people were able to do it. The requirements exceeded the average gear. And nerfing the dungeon is not a solution, so don't consider it.

With that in being, I do not think that this version can afford to not improve the current system especially with the announcement of Diplus Horizon's raid and upcoming dungeons/raids in this version.

It doesn't have to be loyalty system. You can take a look at what other games did for reference:

BDO: Failstack system; every failed attempt would increase your next upgrade attempt by a certain %.

Kritika: Transfer system; allowing a weapon to transfer the upgrade, but that would lower the upgrade of the old weapon. So from an old +9 wep -> would be +7/+8 with the new one.

Not a game I can remember, but a guaranteed upgrade system: After x amount of attempt, you will success 100%.

Or even weekend upgrade rate: Just like the dungeon, increase the upgrade rate every now and then once or twice a month.

It can be combined or a brand new system, but like I said before it can't be difficult or easy to obtain. Just remember that something has to be done.

    dddd

  • Add 1-3 points per fail upgrade and it refreshes after a successful upgrade or after an accumulative 100 points which will result in a successful upgrade

This is a Aura Kingdom example

  • Out of curiosity, how many people liked the enhancement success increase during the events they had?

I mean.. a weekend enhance event would be a nice way to alleviate the issue for the time being.

  • Heyo~

(This has probably been said many times, but its good to keep on saying)

If energy can be removed, have exp gain increased considerably up to level 55. Some of the reasons people moved to to the private server was due to the removal of energy and higher exp gain. By doing this, it may cause players to return.

If energy can't be removed, have it setup so energy is not used under level 50. This would allow veterans to help new players run through dungeons and don't have to worry about losing EP. (This would only take effect if the veteran is level 60).

Another would be some kind of incentive for veterans helping out new players. For example: A level 60 veteran would be helping out a level 20 new player in a dungeon. The game would recognize the two in a party and towards the end of the dungeon, the keycard rewards would be beneficial to the Veteran for helping out the new player. Rewards could include (Energy Converters, Anti-Destruction, Akasha transmitters, Upgrade covers, higher grutin gold yields, etc). This would bring more value to keycards and persuade players to purchase them.

I don't think it's a good idea to remove the Energy in Soulworker.
The exp gain in our version was already updated and i think it's very easy to reach level 60 now.

If energy can't be removed, have it setup so energy is not used under level 50. This would allow veterans to help new players run through dungeons and don't have to worry about losing EP. (This would only take effect if the veteran is level 60).

That will bring many new Problems so i don't think that will happen but it's not a bad idea.
