A Growing Feedback Thread to Provide to the Soulworker Team for the Benefit of All

  • I don't understand the energy system in any game. It's like the devs and publishers are saying "yeah, you can't play this game anymore, not because you don't like it, but because we don't want you to. Ah! Unless you pay!"

In what world does this makes sense?

I mean, for mobile games with limited progress, but for a pc game with mmo elements it's ridiculous. Other mmo's limit the amount of times you can run certain dungeons, but certainly not all of them. Also, Soulworker is the perfect game to just spam everything.

Why not let the gamers roam free? I use up my energy and I move on to another game. I don't even bother with alts because the philosophy behind stamina/energy systems is so nefarious that it just makes me say "ok, if you don't want me playing your game that I actually enjoy anymore, I won't. There's literally thousands of others games I can be playing atm." and that's what I do.

So, yeah. Gameforge, I know you get a lot of shit, but easing up on the energy system would do wonders (the free energy items aren't enough). Either remove it completely or cut the cost significantly.

  • Okay honestly, I don't mind the energy system the way it is now but, it would be nice if the limiter on the energy vitamin packs given were removed like how KR has it for the 100 vitamin packs. It's not like I would use all of the ones I have right away. The rest can stay the same. Having a limitation lets me rest from time to time and I'm totally fine with that. But maybe lowering dungeon raid EP costs would be nice as well just to get a bit more runs in as opposed to how it is now for the raids.

You can rest whenever you want without energy, you don't need a hard limit on the game for it, unless you have some serious control issues, and like I said, it's not like there isn't a million other similar games out there you'll be playing because soulworker forced you out.

  • While it is not as relevant as other topics, they should consider introducing skins that cover the advancement(2nd) weapon with the same skin as the main one so that it doesn't look odd. They should also introduce advancement weapon as an additional item or together with the main weapon, so instead of a sword for haru, she will get 2 swords or a sword+another sword. To keep it simple, an additional weapon slot(Unlocks after advancement) or a weapon revamp for lv60+ weapons that will include the advancement weapons and weapon skins with it.

They should also consider introducing player designing costume contest for each region.

  • Hi this growing feedback contains good changes for sw.

add to it. in game NPC Shop. use forum points(sw points) at NPC shop for sw .

sw points different then forum points.

(you can won them by helping the community or make skills builds tips posts. the GM make edits about it)

    forum points system:
    NPC shop with few items.
forum points exchange for items at NPC shop in the game.

    shop items incloud:
    Grutin coins
    Respawners
    drop rate book
    upgrade cover
    Energy Converter
    fragments
costume hat (hat change with every season)
gear and weapon with exp for new players lv1-lv30(free for new created characters)

other way to get forum points at game shop?
    GM host a pvp tournament
3 ranks won most forum points

you can won them by make a video show your team finish the new raids too and post it at forum (only 3 teams won the points 1th. 2th. 3th.)

I call it forum points. you can change it to sw points.
it take lot to do this system thought
this system help the community to grow inside the forums and inside the game

  • So as GF officially released sockworker 2.0 I believe they deserve a round of applause. Free items for everyone, our pockets emptied, great for newbies and all. But in honour of our fallen comrades who took hits in the tens of billions of dz, several times now, may I humbly suggest you to warn us with something a little less subtle than "we're constantly monitoring the market situation"? How about "our plans for the next 6 months include decreasing the value of item["x"] by approx. 40-50 times" instead? The first thought after taking the hits was "that really friggin hurt" and then "No More Sorrow" started playing in my head.

Anyway, since bringing negativity to this thread would probably be bad, let me set the rest of the jokes aside and move on to the suggestions:

    Please, do share your plans in more detail with us, that one was serious;
    Since the market is already currently in the process of being screwed over, now's the perfect time for whatever else might cause problems to it, like server merges and item changes. Heck, at this point you could just have Yumi sell ECs for x million dz;

And lastly, how is cutscene skip not a thing here yet? Or even better, simply remove them from some places. Golden Citadel, which shouldn't even be worth a minute compared to AoV, can take 6 minutes just because of cutscenes and some wooden hardware newbie loading for 100 seconds, meanwhile the boss gets deleted in less than one second. It makes helping new people a lot, a lot harder.

    Oh and also:
    SF meter is bugged;
items we lost in market are still gone.

Actually, the EC rate is lower and not many people need as much ECs; meaning that its actually lowering the DZ circulation instead of increasing it. Even now, the ECs are not as wanted as before making it less likely to gain profit out of it.

Regardless, there is a better way to do this indeed, and that is: Making event items nontradable which would lower the dz circulation by a lot since players can't resell their event items to gamble again. This the whole point of it anyways, to lower the amount of dz. There's no need for warning. The only thing a warning would do is upset the playerbase.

Also, ECs were already on the decline. They went from 100m->80m->70m->60m(yesterday's price). Now its 40m.

  • I did take ECs as my emphasis there but it's not limited to that, all significant changes to items should be mentioned. For soulbound items, that solution is sticking in front of everyone's eyes so hard even a blind man could see it. If gf wanted them bound, they'd be bound. For warnings maybe you misinterpreted, maybe took the joke too seriously, I meant that it'd be fair to state something like "we aim to make x more accessible to everyone by doing y and z, and carrying it out within the next few months". Taking the effort someone made and deleting it is plenty upsetting, but that's not even the point, communication is. If you still think it's better to drop a nuke on us out of the blue then I guess it's a matter of perspective.

This is a suggestion thread, everything in here being taken seriously unless you state otherwise. And yes, I understand the frustration, but that always happens whether in game or real life.

I have yet to see a publisher tell what the event is going to be before the patch either. Regardless, the EC was declining at a decent rate, it would've been smarter to sold it when it was 80m-100m/each

  • Hello everyone!

    ........(skipped)

NPC Loyalty system: This system is very hard to balance and was not added in the other territories that were released after KR and JP – which includes our version as well. While this system is still available in KR and JP, as it is also very hard to remove it there, it will not be added to our, or any of the other services that do not currently have it – as we have said in the past. We will share some additional information about this topic soon.

Though not played in NA anymore, still here to tell, TW also had loyalty system, not only in JP/KR.

Take reference in GF's older post in SteamCommunity link here, TW still have NPC Loyalty System, not as GF says "not even included for our version or any other territory (like TW)" in that post before, or in this post.

As the picture of proof showing below, though TW has no +3% enhance success rate even NPC loyalty LV5.

Don't know why NA took this down, but I just here to prove that GF was lying.

Though not played in NA anymore, still love SW much, for Everyone's Destiny Awaits.

    Live in TW.

Simple is better, complex is challange.

  • Updates

    General Feedback:

    1. Added Open Discussion to the Implementations of Updates (Such as Economy of SoulWorker)

    Cash Shop-Related Feedback:

    1. Emphasis on #6 in regards to brooch types being permanently introduced to shop.

    Quote

If this cannot be met, allow increased frequencies for SIN brooches to appear. Limiting it to the few players who managed to purchase it at the time leaves a power creep to those who wish to obtain these brooches, which leads to discouragement among the players who wish to aim for the best. There has already been some disappointment due to the Brooch Sale as noted here on the steam news.

    Game-Related Feedback:

    1. Added Cut-scene Skip

Apologies for the late updates! Busy with work

    :stella4:

  • Can we have a quick talk about Aethar, It became a recurent thing that the only way at this moment to get a fair

amount is to farm xivus. Let's be honest it can't continue that way! We definitly need a rework of that monney

    i actually see 2 options:

-The first one is to simply delete it, It won't impact the gameplay in any way beside removing the frustration ofspending hours at xivus

-the second one is to increased by a lot the aethar drop in innocent daydream, less "violent" option but need discussions about the ammount (i think 500K per run, For a total of 2.5M per day sound fine)

  • Most likely a bad idea but gonna throw it out there.

    1st option:

Have a SC to DZ converter integrated (like Blade and Soul)

Players could through up their DZ in the converter to sell for some SC. The rate would be locked so there is a set minimum and maximum rate range.

    2nd Option:

Players would not be able to put DZ into the converter to sell, but instead, the game itself would generate DZ to put into the converter at a locked low rate.

For 1st option, this would help:

    - Players that can't spend real money on the game, but could spend their DZ to get SC to purchase SC shop items, more so for items that cannot be traded in game.

For 2nd option this would help because:

    - SC sellers that cannot find buyers, but are in need of quick DZ

    - Game would have another option to make profit (money does make things go round)

    :lilly3:

  • Not a good idea. It is really not. I will try to explain briefly, but I can explain in more details tomorrow:

SC->DZ conversion would increase DZ circulation which is not what we want. We even have this event to decrease the circulation which is extremely working well. And the option is not profitable as you think.

DZ->SC conversion would make Gameforge lose profit. Players already interact with cash shop items through the market/sellers.

I do not think we should mess with monetary conversion in any way especially when it comes to SC. Any changes or addition in there will mess with the market.

Edit: Also, these two options seems to work together; 1st option would cover 2nd option flaw by decreasing dz circulation; however 1st option has flaws that can't be overlooked such as lost of profit.

  • I don't know if I can phrase this right, but improve the quality of the upgrading process at Trisha:

    We have to check to use anti-destructions after every attempt, making it easy to accidentally break your weapon. Save the option or make it enabled by default when possible;

Decrease the animation time, or, better yet, disable the animation entirely. One upgrade attempt takes over 10 seconds when you see protected and failed, which is a ridiculous waste of time for a button click. Maybe it'd be ok (not really) if we had to go through it 20 times, but not hundreds.
