Stella analysis/comprehensive guide, anyone?

This is what most Stellas should be using, can be adjusted for personal preference. The attack buff extension on Orb Song is more useful than the paralyze extension as maxed out it should be +450 attack or so, while the paralyze extension decreases orb songs dmg and as it passes thru enemies it cant burst for a lot of dmg anymore. The paralyze also doesnt work on bosses so, pretty useless extension to invest in. standing at close enough range and getting 3 charges on orb song = high burst dmg.

Soul Cry is very useful as its an iframe, which will come in VERY handy at Primal, thus i recommend getting at least 1 point.

Sonic Pulse is only useful for self heal and SA break, which does the job at level 1 and base duration, so no need to invest too many points into that skill, but of course personal preference.

Phantom Trail's extensions arent that useful as its used mainly as a quick heal for your teammates rather than a damaging move, not to mention there are other skills that will usually be up for you to DPS.

On the passive side of the skill tree, rising roll and special dodge are enough at lvl 1, since you shouldnt be getting hit so much to the point that you have to use it all the time and points can be better spent elsewhere. Rising attack is maxed cause it provides a 1 sec iframe.

  • soul cry damage sucks, so people take lv 1 just for invincibility

sonic pulse, while weak at lower lvl, is arguably stella's hardest hitting skill. you can also solo break boss SA with 1 use of this skill until near endgame. added bonus of being relatively low cd for such a powerful skill. must max 100%

rising atk only take 1 for invincibility.. dont need sp cost reduction

special dodge provides powerful escape so it's not bad to invest any spare points for the cd. you can play more aggressive when it's off cd

  • I disagree on sonic pulse, most end game stellas dont really use it for dmg, as her ult and spectral pit hits harder and usually in raids someone will have a big puppet card to reduce cd. But of course a lot of it comes down to personal preference

    Triple no, lol.

Soul Cry/Scream sucks (in PvE, at least), and it's soooo not "very handy at Primal". Also, the invulnerability only hits during the cast. Instead of wasting 30 SG to avoid a hit, you could just dodge. The damage and SA break of the skill are low, so it's absolutely not worth to max it. I'd say to leave at 1/5, but absolutely not 5/5 unless you want to PvP with it. I have it 1/5, but never uses it in Primal. I have better to do than waste SG on that no-damage skill in Primal. Like, keeping my team alive or doing *actual* damage.

Sonic/Decade Pulse is better off maxed. Leaving it at 3/5 is, hm, weird. Its damage is not bad but not what I'd use either, more like a last resort. However you said so yourself: SA break bosses. Instead of putting it 3/5 on 35% SA break you could put it 5/5 for 45% (while increasing damage along the way). You've put 3 points in it already, it's better to max it now as this skill will always come in handy be it on Attack or Support mode. You could for instance use those SG points wasted on Soul Cry/Scream, heh.

Also, even for damage Sonic/Decade Pulse isn't half bad if you're geared. When I help out some fellas with ArkShip on KR, when I feel lazy I just use that spell to SA break the boss and its HP goes down very fast. On lower dungeons, I can just finish the boss with just that skill too. So, no, it's also wrong to say "most end game Stellas don't use it for dmg". Even in Raids, I use it (both in Support and Attack mode). On this point, I'd agree with purpleapple.

Well, of course, I didn't mean to come harsh so I apologize if I did. As you said, it'd also come down to preferences. However I still strongly state that Soul Cry/Scream isn't worth more than 1/5 in PvE (I can agree for 5/5 if you PvP) and that Sonic/Decade Pulse is worth being put 5/5.
