Launcher Issues (merged topics)

Yes I have this problem.. I've re-installed both the steam version and the gameforge version twice but it still has not got past the black screen. I will attach a gif.

this is literally identical to what happens to her ...anyone know of a fix ?

im going to have her try and open up task manager and run game as administrator when she gets in ...i cant think of anything else

- Launch game (via Steam) NA
- Game gives a small window that has black screen and has "Not Responding" on the window

Soulworker pretty much has trouble launching for me, waited 30 minutes and no progress.

Just downloaded SoulWorker, and installed it.

The update is stuck and no start button or Newsfeed or smth like that.

Tried copy a patched SoulWorker but still having the same problem.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling. I didn't have this problem so i can't really help here.

Done that too, even change the directory of install still having the same problem.

i even just done backup restore system still the same

Your launcher works the first time, right? Have you tried going to task manager and ending the process from there instead of just closing? I had the same problem, but I found out the problem was that the launcher wasn't actually closing when I pressed x.

Yep i do, i force close it with task manager.

having same issue my gf was pre maintenance now , i load the game and the white box pops up follow by black box large box and then soulworker becomes unresponsive and does not load anything

Not sure if any solution was posted, not that i've seen so far browsing the forums so here goes:

After I log in the launcher and pressed Start, the game just doesnt work/start. No error notifications, its like i didnt run the launcher at all.

What i've tried:

- Run as Admin

- All compatibility modes

- Reinstalled + Repaired Client 5x

- Steam and Normal Client Version (For steam, when i start game my profile appears as "playing SoulWorker" for a good 5 seconds before disappearing)

- System Restores, Restarts

- No antivirus, deactivated malwarebytes

- Installed outside Program Files/or (86x), directly on ://C

Any more help is appreciated!

Same problem for me hadn't tried System restore or a reinstall but everything else that you mentioned isn't working for me either.

Hello. Every time I launch the game, the characters aren't showing up and the screen is dark. A fix I found would be to change the game resolution once, then change it back. After that, it works just fine. Here is a screenshot:

I'm wondering why this happens. My specs:

i7-720qm

5870m

12 gig ram

win 10 64 bit

Attached is my DxDiag txt file.

Again, after I change my res, then change back, it works fine.

edit - On another note, not a big deal, the audio stutters, scratches/loops starting up for like 2 seconds.

Tried pretty everything common that I could think of to fix.

I press Login and get this error, can't log in,.

For those having issues with the cilent opening a small screen and automatically crashes is because the cilent is trying to open with a screen of 30 x 0 which is unable to load properly cause of it to fix this. You'll have to browse it in the soulworker's file on your folder if its on steam just browse it by accessing local file and editing the General Ini file then replace Width & Height with the resolution your pc currently plays at.

I have the same blank launcher problem. I reinstalled and game ran fine with new, initial launcher. Once I closed the launcher and reopened it, the launcher is blank once again.
