well, i dont mind grinding at all, but seeing as ftg Limits grinding, and the xp gain is abyssmal low, capping a char as a casual Player, will take weeks, i dont think casual Players will stay motivated this Long to Level up and get "the FlashyStuff" that keeps em ingame
What’s your opinion on the game so far?

It's pretty fun, especially now since I know what the story is and can read skills (Played JP version for a few days before). I am stuck in limbo though...I don't want to go "hardcore" because they said there MAY be a wipe. But if there isn't a wipe, then I feel like I would have wasted quite a bit of time. xD

i think the game is very good just alot of beta issues atm

As I feared, a terrible pay to win grinder.
I will keep it installed and updated though, so I can leech translations and story in english.
But, I'm going back to play the JP version. It's much better - and now I'll know what's going on

(note: the gameplay isn't bad - combat, etc - but the crafting / mats is horrendous. Just give us the JP version).

Eh, I'm confused. Why would you call the game a "terrible pay to win grinder" for English version, but say you want to play the JP? Currently, there is no "pay to win" at all in EN.
Also, the only reason JP appears "better" is because games change throughout their life.
Basically we get the first ever released version of the game. Let's call it 1.0. Now let's say JP atm is on 3.4 version of the game, which has revamps and more stuff for "new players." It doesn't matter what version JP is on, we will always get the first initial release of the game, which is hypothetically 1.0.

Is very refreshing I try to introduce it other people like in my guild discord and some other gamer discords. I highly recommend not having second thoughts on wiping. It would really help the game if they release everything it has to offer now.

Aside from the many Server Not Available messages and bugs, I'm loving it so far! Reminds me a lot of ElSword, which I used to be very much addicted to. I guess SoulWorker is my new addiction!
One small thing that bugs me is not being able to play in KR servers due to the distance, but loving NA so far.

It's a little funny see people complaining about the exp gain being low and grindy from a perspective of someone who played Silkroad online for a long time, literally the only thing you do there is leveling up killing mobs, nothing more. What's even worse that the exp gain is so slow that you would need more than a year to level up for max level. Btw I'm not trying to justify the low exp gain, this is just a little anecdote.

I only played a little but I had so much fun!! I really like the game, it inspires me to do guides to help others too because I want them to enjoy the game as I do!

I hope they fix the errors soon so I can play it the whole day today. -

Older mmos used to be very grindy idd. Silkroad is basically a veramped Lineage2, so no wonder, rly. L2's c1-4 were hellish. It actually took not a year, but years to reach max, if you didn't know bugs. Every second kr mmo used to be a pure userunfriendly grindfest, be it Last Chaos, Karos or any oldschool title. But it is important to note, that those had open or at least semi open world. Soul Worker is way more limited. And by what I'm seeing, I'd say, it's one of the harshest dungeon brawler type of mmos ever. Well, DDO could come close, I guess. But even the starting location got oneshotting bosses, painstaking crafting and quite high exp requirements to enter. It is certainly different compared to similar pretty casual anime-mmos. This might enable this game to last abit longer.

I like every aspect of the game but i don't like the attitude and transparency of the publishers

Coming from Vindictus, TERA, and a bit of Dragon Nest, PSO2, and C9 far in the past, it's... okay.
I picked Lily as my first character, and I don't know if the base writing is bad or the localization is bad, but nearly all of her interactions with other characters are awful to the point that some characters just bounce back and forth between different personalities.
Combat is a pretty generic AoE fest so far, something I saw way back in 2Moons. I'm low level and don't have all of my skills unlocked, but the lack of mobility is annoying in some cases. Some attacks are very hard to dodge if I don't preemptively move on top of my avoidance dash. Bosses are like BAMs in TERA to me, in which their AoE (directional and otherwise) are telegraphed.
Overall, it strikes me as a less ambitious mixture of TERA and PSO2.

The combat is fun, regardless of the constant server issues and the fact I only got to level 4..

Its fun, the energy system will ruin the fun though.

this game is nice n fun.
just hope will better more about server issues or less bug.
and hopefully they change this fatigue system... (really hated this system feel like playing browser games xD)
-
I played on the JP servers for quite awhile and found that I liked it a lot. It's honestly one of a kind, besides the 2.5D Closers game. The only thing I can really fuss about is the fatigue system. I'm not sure why, but these JP originated games are all following the same pain-inducing trend with the fatigues. As I've not been on the NA/EU yet, I'm not completely sure if there are any bugs or server issues, but from what I've read, server lags and crashes have been an issue for this beta period. All in all, you have to cut SW some slack, as this is its Beta Period, which means it still is going to have harsh play experience and be unbearable to play.

Needs more cowbell.
-
EXP Rate is way to low
Forced to play with others to even get some decent exp
Why do they always do this fiddling with % where they have no clue what they're doing
im already tired of this can't be botherd
