Why did we not get a rollback?

  • I mean, at this point they literally want the game to die and close it down, since they don't care about bugs they made, the people they banned or anything they add to the game. We can just wait until it's done and just be disappointed as we always were and just leave it as it is.

  • I just let my opinion, im banned too and i would like participate in this conversation more, i just see we talk here and GF doesn't hear us. But i dont want discuss with you my friend, its ok and sorry

  • So I started playing again (I haven't played for couple of months or even more) after patch and you want to rollback my progress? Not nice, ban for exploiters is what they deserve.

so you want to have a broken market and totally fvcked up prices and keep your meaningless progress from which you will get pretty much nothing instead of a normal economy where you can afford literally anything from a few days grinding? you are a one big masochistic dude, i gotta say. and mmoah won't help you here my boy

btw ban didnt fix a thing, and if they decide to do a rollback now, more people will quit playing so at this point they're done

If they rolled back I wouldn't play anymore so yes I prefer no rollback.

  • Dear Community and SoulWorker Staff,

let me introduce myself first. I am Ramina, Leader of <Cookies> - Content Creator, Streamer and Caretaker of quite a few lovely SoulWorker maniacs.

I am sitting here, taking my thoughts to the forums and hoping to reach out to you guys. Even if you do not reconsider and are not revoking or reducing our bans.
Now I want to share what is on my mind.

As a company you were forced to act because players violated your Terms of Service and I am completely aware that some sort of statement has to be made in order to keep up the companies image.

But the people are conscious about their mistakes and deeply regret them and I personally think in some cases it is more important to do the right thing rather than being right. Everyone had so much fun leveling the new character and some even participated in a local race to be the first Chii reaching level 60.

Soon after the information about the game breaking exploit reached us, we felt like we had to stop leveling.

We expected the exploit to be fixed by a server rollback. Some even destroyed their equipment and upgraded random stuff because of that. A Dzenai wipe would have been a possibility as well but there was also the off-chance that the problem would not be fixed the next day or would even stay for another few days which would have put players at an unbelievable disadvantage, just like in some of the previous events (i.E. various holiday events).

It is difficult to understand why permanently banning all players who participated in the exploit would be the favourable solution for the community and in their best interest. This does not only apply to, but does not exclude our guild members.

A majority played since the early beginning of the beta and spent a lot of time playing with their friends. Practically logging in every day since the game opened its gates, patiently waiting for updates to come and not raising their voices or flooding the forums after delays or complaining about the insufficient support regarding the implementation of additional content and certain lackluster events that were rushed, half-baked, contained bugs or were even prolonged into eternity.

All in all having a huge negative impact on the gaming experience of older and newer players going as far as forcing them to abandon the content temporarily or quitting the game they so much enjoyed. Yet all of the players affected by the ban wave stuck with the game until now.

Not only did you exclude us from playing SoulWorker, but also did you terminate our contracts preventing us from interacting with any current or future GameForge releases.

Since for a majority of the banned player base this exploit was their first offense. This is a really harsh punishment and seems to be even worse than people using third party software or spilling racial slurs.

By no means was participating a way to get rich rather than being able to preserve the value of our hard earned money. Even though some people used the exploit to upgrade their equipment, the broad majority already had their gear fully upgraded and were in no need of more Dzenai.

The exploit was immediately reported, the second we heard about it not only to the support, but also the moderators of the official discord and on twitter in hopes to initiate a solution faster. Additionally most of the community was made aware so the staff is forced to take action. We made every effort to lower the impact of the situation.

Our guild already openly apologized to the community and to you the GameForge staff. Most players also wrote a support ticket explaining their reasoning and feelings.

Some of the affected players went to greater lengths to be a pillar of the community and entertain them with streams, events and provide support; consuming personal time and money to help creating a fun experience for the whole player base.

Regardless of the outcome of this situation the game will certainly continue and we do not regret any minute we spent in it.

We accept that mistakes were made and a punishment is justified.
But is it really necessary to permanently ban players for their first offense and not talk about the situation peacefully and find a solution as a community?

    In best regards,

    long term and caring player
    Ramina

  • It is useless to continue this, I am sorry that you have been banned but the GF will not listen to you, has never listened to anyone, you are just making a fool of yourself by trying to beg for a second chance, just accept it

Well you have just to adjust to new economy, that's all.

No use crying over spilt milk. They can't rollback now anymore even if they wanted because 2nd half of the population would rage out. Yes, you don't represent whole playerbase.

  • As you can see i'm not the only one that asked for a rollback, but hey. You do you. Keep playing, until this server exists.

Sputachu - lvl 60 Stella (Tenebris)

  • If you would ask all the playerbase there is chance that half of it or even more wouldn't care about economy and only about their own progress.

  • Okay, whatever. :)
