I can not login EN/NA server (merged topics)

  • everyone typing too much in their responses =w=

soo many essays and short answer reponse...am i grading these essays using the essay rubric?

can we try to keep these comments like short and sweet? i really enjoy my tl;dr style of commenting.

Thing is most of the discussions are leading nowhere. Game crashes = play another game. I'm sure everyone here are gamers and have played several games before SoulWorker. Nows the chance to catch up......................................................or just sleep

i like sleep but...forums are fun when the servers goes down.

  • They are allowing players to purchase items for real money that would allow those players to make use of the time a server is up and running. When said server crashes and becomes unavailable, those people who paid real money to be able to make use of the uptime can no longer do so... due to a fault with the company running the game. So yes, asking for compensation at this point is perfectly reasonable. Trying to say that it is not.... that is being unreasonable.

Also, when a game server like this does go offling unexpectedly it us perfectly reasonable to expect some response from those running the service to address the issue to their playerbase. Yesterday, as you know, the NA server was offline for 6hrs or more, and Gameforge never even acknowledged that it went down. Tonight the NA server is once again offline / unaccessible adn we've heard nothing from Gameforge about it... this doesn't build any confidence in their ability to respond to such problems when they occur. I may be wrong, but if this had happened to any of the EU servers, there would be a difference response.

  • Missed the fact that I did mention how the game was release early ("soft" release is still a release). Also only asked why I have seen more posts (not only announcements) about Cash Shops over Servers. I understand servers will have problems and I'm not saying Cash Shop will be the downfall of the game but rushed projects are. Like did you know a game with very bad server lag that is nearly unplayable will still have more players than one that you can't get into to play? Also not to be rude but it's a nice page but I'll stick to the rules of the forum and stick to the topic. Also it's not like I'll be playing Soul Worker until the servers are back up. Just kinda wish that I was still waiting for a stable server than what the game was presented.

  • You don't need the backgrounds, but like I said, what are you going to do with the information? Like, could you give us an example? Do you realize they are "screwing up" because they testing the servers' stability? I don't want to be a broken record about this, I really don't.

Thanks for wasting my time with paragraph of gibberish you just wrote out.

The moment Gameforge releases an official statement (if that ever comes) explaining the reasons why they can't keep the NA server up for more than an hour before kicking everyone off I'm gonna print it out, grab a nice bottle of lotion to lube myself up, and fervidly jerk off with it until I get a papercut. That is what I'm gonna do with that information.

Testing the servers' stability is something they should've done before they thought "Hey, let's launch the game to the general public! What could possibly go wrong?" It's their job to prepare themselves and the game for this. They've had years to gauge the audience looking forward to the game. They've had more than enough time to stress test their servers too. The lag at launch can be kind of forgiven now, but two weeks in you better have some decent reason to share for 2-3 nights of downtime.

  • until we get the notice that this game is leaving open beta, everything up to that point is a stress test. Sure, a sloppy open beta but at least we can play; abet, in very small burst. Hopefully these issues will be address as they are reported and hopefully we will be on our merry way about end-game complaining. about nothing to do. I enjoy those moments .a lot.

Probably the best way to help is actually doing something about it aka reporting it. The more data they have about what is wrong with their servers, the better they can actually help us get better stable servers for everyone at all times of the day. Help them help us really.

you also forgot the fact they said they were still in "testing". Yea it sucks for the game to be down, but really I wouldn't expect much. I would rather wait until FULL release of the game to actually be critical of them. With server down I can now watch some OWL so I got that going for me.... which is nice.

  • Ya i have to say this is rather annoying and very much making me consider why am I playing this game. It is entertaining but a few things have really hit a nerve with me. I am glad I haven't put any money into this game though i was greatly considering it. Best to wait till "release" i think to really see the state it ends up in.

The fact there has been literally no communication even acknowledging that the server was down for 6-8 hours yesterday and now its likely to be such again today. The only communication we got was from some idiotic and down right rude forum mod berating us. When i am sorry guess I shouldn't expect much out of a non american gaming company or something like integrity in expecting them to deal with an issue and keep the servers up or at least keeping communication with your player base is just kind of respectful. A simple hey we know theres an issue here is a projected downtime though is subject to change goes a long way.

I also have to say the complete and total crap of how expensive literally everything is that they are making it for us NA players is a little obscene. To buy the premium shop cash we have the highest ratio of dollar to cash shop currency meaning we get less for our buck and then to compare our version of the game where everyone else is getting rear ended along with NA. The literal amount of grind fest you are required to do to make simple fashion blueprints. I can understand some things to try and gate and slow progression and give more for the player base to do but to literally go oh hey lets up the amount everything literally needs is not a way to extend the life of a game....

  • i mean im reserving too much judgement until at least a month passes. i know games often have shaky releases, and GameForge Maybe could not grasp how many of us in NA waited for and wanted this game, so i'll give them time to fix up things. I do hope they are reading comments on the cash shop as well. id hate to see another really fun game held back due to questionable decisions.

Which on another semi-related note, is how a lot of mmos fail in the NA. You have these super hyped mmos that we get, but we have a limited number of publishers. a game like Revelation Online for example that looked amazing before we got it , was given to a company that many warned would ruin the game. The same could be said for Soul Worker too. I dont hear many complaints about En Masse, so i personally had hoped Soul Worker was going to be an En Masse title and would trade Closers for it but we'll see if my worries arent met.

  • My close friend has a busy schedule and can only play a few hours a day, if that, and it seems every time she has time to play, the NA server is down. Now she wants to change to EU server since they never have issues. :( But I don't want to relvl again. So I hope they FINALLY fix the issues with NA.
