The Stamina Issue (merged topics)

  • i just hope they don't make the same mistake that closers NA did and do something like weekly stamina - that's just stupid.

already said my piece on this, so i'll ignore the rest of the notifications from here. in the end, it's about personal preference, and how much free time you have, honestly.

just remember this system came from the base game itself, it's not a p2w ploy by gameforge, believe it or not.

Rejecting other players from being able to progress when u can pay to progress is basically pay2win, if they didnt want a pay2win mechanic they would have announced by now that the system will be removed, like japan.

They should go by example from the Japanese client.

Besides the difference is that its a custom in Korea since its looked upon as negative to sit in and just play games all day. Different cultures and regions. west works differently, this will just decline in players too since its unattractive and hated in The EU and NA

  • yes agree with Syphx, this not about personal preference, and how much free time you have, or whatever ppl say it before there. this system is really anoying and hate for western ppl. (mybe if this game is for browser game not client game this system its ok).

  • The game already have a really bad rating on steam with alot of complaint on the Fatige/energy system.. though alot of the complaints are also due to server stability being poor (during the server stress test, so i dont know what they expected) But as I stated Months before the game released "A stamina system will be the death of the game even before it gets a chanse" and that is where we are now.. Hype is dying down.. a majority of the player base are leaving only days into the beta.. And only the ppl who dont care about having alot of alts or playing a maximum of 1-3 hours a day (Depending on efficiancy) are the ones staying around.. This makes me really sad since i love everything about the game exept this energy system.. that actually feels worse than the JP version =/

  • They seem to be dumping us all in here so here is where I'll rant.

No NA server on the list.

    Again.

    After over 48 hours.

Get your game together. I defended these issues because all games have them the first day.

But it's no longer the first day.

  • The only drawback of the game for probably most of us who have more than just 1 hour or so time to spend, is undoubtedly this Fatigue System. It just.... is not fun and unnecessary for NA and EU audience. In other games like Onigiri and CLOSERS, you can buy items to restore your Energy Points, or the game straight up doesn't have such thing in the first place compared to their original KR or JP version. Onigiri gives Energy Point replenishers on daily logins and sometimes through special dungeon drops and missions. CLOSERS JP as well does that. You could simply open shop and get a full replenish item which costs almost nothing for a mediocre player (250.000 credits).

As for solution I would like to provide if this system were not to be removed, there should be an item in Grutin Gold Shop which replenishes all of your EP for a fair amount of Grutin Gold like 300 or so. This would be a perfect solution I think.

I was thinking they could at least help the issue by giving us +10 to max energy every time we level. The 200 Energy isn't enough right now while dungeons are 10/12/14 (I'm only lvl 14) but whats the cost of getting into the higher level dungeons? 200 goes quick when you need 20 Energy per run, but wouldn't be so bad if I had 340 (base 200 + (10 x muh lvl))...

  • So Entry costs do scale up in higher level Dungeons? I noticed someone mentioned that entry costs can cost up to 20 Energy per run.

Is that because of Dungeon length or the amount of enemies within the Dungeon?

  • So, really nice for all your calculations, but you forgot about the following:

    a) There is off time between the episodes. You have to repair, sell items, disemble items, make cards, sell on AH, skill, etc. All these things take time, and add up to quite a lot. Also Loading Screens, not meaning to be extremely picky, but since you are, try to include everything.

    b) There is Quest text that is meant to be read and not just skipped. I know a lot of people aren't interested in the story but hey, its there, its game content and people spent time and effort to write these, so have a little respect and try to enjoy and not rush through everything like a maniac.

    c) Dungeons will take longer, at least that is what I am guessing, and that is what has been happening, even in the first 20 levels. Some episodes are longer, some are shorter.

    d) There is Steel Grave at level 15, that another 5 Instances of Gameplay which you can add to your game time.

    e) You are not limited to one character! In fact, some of the Dailies are Character specific, which is an attempt to make you look at different characters as well. And if you don't want to play a different one, play the same one and skill it differently, use it to experiment or something.

    f) Take breaks, even small 5 min. breaks to rest your eyes or calm down after an epic fight. Tell your friends about the time you almost died but made it out using you swift moves.

All of the things above add up to a much more complete, satisfying and longer gameplay than your rushing through type. I have ignored tipps like spending only half the Energy costs by not killing the boss at the end of the dungeon diliberatly since I believe if you are complaining that much, you already know about it. But that essentially doubles, or at least increases your gametime by some time as well.

Additionally you get 100 more Fatigue Points in the CS (when it works) and a Community Mat, and bonus, you can sit on other mats too! Grab something to eat, sit ingame, do something else and watch those points rise!

I hope I could provide some more detailed insight in how you can spend your gametime, and increase it.

  • Yeah that's what i mentioned in my post too (might have been the previous one) this is without breaks, salvaging etc. still it should take maybe 10 min, and it still doesn't add up to 5 hours even if you were to take 10 min in total to do that after every run.

But still its a limit that is ridiculous, someone on Reddit said that it is so you shouldn't be able to farm end content endlessly. But then that should have limitations on how many runs a day you can do or similarities for those specific dungeons/content

From what i also read there's a limit to the Energy you can get from sitting on maps, you can't just farm it by making a group and sitting on loads of players mats. these also cost money. which is a p2w feature. Pay to be able to progress over other players.

I think the max you can go up in energy in a day (With event energy bonus) is 450

Besides the higher up you go, the more it costs to make runs, this is only for the first area.

And afk time is not game time, It's a MMO so limitations like these doesn't belong to a game anyway. But yeah. They can keep the system if they want, but close to 90% of all negative reviews of this game is due to the energy system. It's a big part of the playerbase that dislike it, and which will not give this game a chance when its up on release date.

And i shouldn't have to limit what i want to to in the game just because i might run out of energy if i do this or that.

And the whole reason why im complaining is because this is a system friendly for soft core players.
Just like World of Warcraft died because the game has been built around soft core Noobs. (and by noobs i straight up mean new players and beginners)

But again up to them, i basically put up a totally logical and reasonable reason to why the energy system is so bad.
Limiting players to play is something that is extremely looked down upon here in the west. And you should know already by the response of the community upon this.

And no more than the average spend more than 2 hours at once without taking a single break while gaming.

  • Personally I'm fine with the Stamina system, however they should tweak it. Either lower the amount of stamina the dungeons costs or have more ways to receive stamina potions (other than the daily 20 point stamina potion from the grutin shop), or heck even both!

  • Asking for Gameforge to remove a system that will generate cash for them seems a bit naive. It is like asking them remove Inventory Expansion cards and Safeguard items... not going to happen.

There are people here who have mentioned you can regen almost all your daily Energy via Grutin(?), but that is really optimistic. I cannot check right now, but in order to regen 150-200 Energy it would cost around 500 Grutin, which I believe might not be possible to earn within the time spent spending your daily 200. Unless you play other characters just to eventually get back to playing the character you actually want to play.

I don't want to sound negative, but we should be realistic here. I am sure there are many here who have to deal with data caps on their internet access, and I'm sure you all think such caps suck balls. This is the same thing. Use up your Energy? Pay to keep playing (in one way or another).

It's different, they can make a XP system instead that works like the energy system and earn money from that, or get some other source of income. or other ways, Whatever they decide between.

If the question at hand would come up and they would ask us to choose between 2 systems, people would most likely go with something that does limit us from playing.

  • Well, they have given us a choice of what to do with this Energy system. You can stop playing, you can jump through some hoops to some energy back, or you can pay for an Energy reset. The most attractive choice is to swipe, as intended. =)

  • Basically if the energy system is kept im not gonna bother with this game. That's why i want the system to be removed. Otherwise ill just live on with my boring life doing something boring ^^

  • so you would like to have a system that

So you would like to have a system that Kritka online has in NA.

  • Never tried the game so i have no idea how that game works or what they do in that game.

  • u can do unlimited runs just your exp and drops just decreases over time
