Skill builds for all 6 classes

  • This was probably written up before the info on Stella's advancement skills came out, since just like with Haru's Spin Cutter, Stella's Whirlwind Dance becomes really decent with the new Extension. And Soul Scream ends up being a non-debatable max as well due to the LB paralysis wave or RB SG Recovery Buff provided by its new extension.

Also, one thing I'd like to note about Beads Play in offense is that while the orbs do do quite a lot of damage (by the way, it caps out at 7 orbs since you're missing that), they do not pierce, nor can they hit multiple enemies at once (no explosion radius, unlike Treble Pass), making it exclusively 'ok' for bossing...and the damage is still not too spectacular even then.

The paralysis extension is still useful in PvE if you're not looking for more damage (I mean, the skill is too slow to cast for damage anyway...) because it kicks the Super Armor break WAY up, as a trade-off for the vastly reduced damage. And the orbs pierce if you wanted to attack more than one enemy with it or something.

Should be worth noting that charging Beads Play to stage 3 is much faster on support mode than on offense mode too, actually.

I maxed Beads yesterday and now I'm torn between maxing Phantom Release with extension or taking Beads piercing upgrade

  • Actually, I'm not even sure if it's really a damage loss at all...the orbs can hit enemies they've already pierced multiple times. Which more than explains the massive drop in damage per hit.

  • Thanks for highlighting those details to me. I've updated the post to include them, just not the advancement ones until I've actually experienced them for myself.

Could be a biased opinion due to the Stella in the vid being rather well geared (no average geared player can kill bosses with a single Rita AR), but still makes a point regardless. The only downside I can think of now is that it loses it's homing ability when the extension is taken, which is insignificant.

  • Finally, this pseudo-guide is complete. If anyone has any questions or has some comments/feedback, feel free to post them here. Thanks and have a nice day.

Wait where is your build i dont see it anymore i saved it on this page?

  • Since some of you are asking, I've just noticed that the post was blocked for an unknown reason after I made a recent edit. If anyone has any ideas how to unblock it, you can message me or something.

  • Great tips on skills,
One thing i could add is, i think Decade Pulse for Stella is a great skill for breaking. It breaks armor pretty fast and also does decent damage (i don't think the greater range or duration is'nt worth it tho unless you have spare SP)

Edited once, last by Kamelot ().

  • I'm looking at this guide, and it looks like I completely messed up my character. I hope we get a free skill reset, or rest in peace my bank account.

The good thing is, you can still beat the game's content even if you messed up.

On the other seriously-stacked-against-you hand, you won't do as much damage as someone who has SP invested in the "right" places.

I actually screwed up my own builds prior to the making of this thread, and actually made the thread in hopes of others not following in my footsteps.

I'll also make a bold statement here and say the inability to reset SP freely, is one of the major flaws of this otherwise rather enjoyable game. It completely kills the mood when you know you've messed up, but have to either pay to make an amendment, or pray to god the game gives you enough skill resets for free.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but I think it also makes you angrier as well in this case.

Don't take these builds as what you should aim for. These are very basic. The Erwin one for example I disagree with on some points and he did not even know his buff was a solo buff.

Can you tell me what you changed? I can't find any good Erwin guide or build beside this one.

  • Max his gun combination and extension and combat master, while reducing his shield buff to level 1. Also max stamina mastery. Everything else is fine.

The first two skills are used for decent close ranged aoe and are great to proc his regen passive, having them cost nothing. The animations are long enough to use sky high again at the end of the chain which feels really good.

His shield is basically used for the iframe beginning, and extremely rarely.

Stamina is self explanatory, even if it's 3 extra sp. Erwin eats stamina if you play aggressively which you need to. He takes more skill to be as effective as the other braindeads.

If there's extra shit you personally like using take the points off Napalm. That skill is clunky and unnecessary.

  • I maxed Quick Fire am I a noob?

    LBaNbab.gif

  • Just a little bit. Leave Napalm at level 1 instead then. You wont notice a difference. Might even be better at some stages in the game.

Napalm is just... such a shit skill right now. Would be amazing if it wasnt air restricted.
