I dont want to sound rude but why do I feel like the CMs or Mods dont know what they are talking about? You guys skipped cbt let alone alpha test, now you're saying this game has bugs then why the heck did u go straight to OBT? i mean atleast let us log in right?? You're stressing out the server but guess what its not the server whos stressed out. its us, players.. So please CMs Mods if you arent sure of your response its better to not respond at all rather than giving us vague answers..
Where is our transparency?

what does it matter if they have a close or alpha phase u still going to deal with the same issues at least in a open beta everyone is invited so u at least can see how well the servers hold up. They are working on the issue it only the three day most of you guys think when a game get into open beta everything suppose to be great it not going to. Games that you pay a sub have issues every time something new comes out just give them time it first week hopeful things will be better over the weekend or next week.

You clearly haven't read the original post. No one is complaining about the game being buggy. We are complaining about not getting any information whatsoever... I mean with this new issue, error 35, they haven't given us any info about it except we are working on it. They didn't even update the server status in game to under maintenance or down. They didn't even tweeted out or posted something in the forum about a maintenance or an estimated down time.

why will you invite everyone when in fact they could've tested it first with fewer people? by inviting everyone and not living up to its hype, you basically killed everyones hype.. is that a good thing?? working on an issue? 2 uncalled maintenance in 1 day? plus now you cant get in? im not good in devs but i know marketing strategy and im telling you now, they basically screwed everyone up..

Beta Test
Beta - Non official launch, yet.
Test - Either paid or volunteer testers for a product. (In this case, it is Voluntary).
Software testers know and understand that there will always be glitches, bugs and unstable system during test and post-official phase. Testing never stops.
A company has their roadmap and plans on how they want their product to be. It is business to them, they have budgets, ROI and Investors to consider as a whole.
And...NO, a company does not need to be completely transparent with their roadmap and plans to their consumers. Unless you are an investor (different category).
- Its like telling Apple (or Tesla, etc) to be transparent with their iPhone product roadmap, ideas and plans. Again, unless you are the investors and shareholder of Apple.Inc.
A game is a software product. Like all products there is shelf life and consumers who like/dislike the product(s). If you prefer iOS, good. If you prefer Android, good. Either way, there is no wrong answer. Each to their own.
If you sincerely think you have a good idea or feature that can help the game and/or community, present it correctly and constructively(but do not expect). Let the company decide if your idea a good-top-priority idea that is in-line with their roadmap or just one of those K.I.V. ideas.
Instead of crying and whining. Do present your idea with revenue benefits in mind, they are a company after all. ('Revenue' here does not have to be in monetary form).
Here, I see so many post dictating, ordering and even threatening the company to change features on a whim and carter to every outcry of every single person who posted their ideas. That's not how things work. Most posts in the forum are entitled cry babies crying when things don't suit them, without considering the bigger picture as a whole.
If you claim that you and your guild can contribute and be beneficial to the game. Prove it. Show your support and lay your ideas through the correct and proper format. (crying and whining is not a proper format). Claiming you can play 24 hours a day does not necessary mean you will benefit the company. It only benefits you benefit yourself. Your own entertainment and sense of enjoyment. -

I mean yea sure its rushed but we are the third day into the game, imo we should just wait and see how it turns out, right? They already said they're working on it, lets see how it is on fri/monday. Id honestly rather play the game and crash one or two times a day than not play the game.
One or two times a day? how long do you play the game? One hour a day? lmao
I've played all day and havn't crashed once, today atleast, played all yesterday and crashed once in total.

- Its like telling Apple (or Tesla, etc) to be transparent with their iPhone product roadmap, ideas and plans. Again, unless you are the investors and shareholder of Apple.Inc.A company should be semi-transparent so people know what to expect. Otherwise they lose a ton of consumer because they don't know what is going to happen and are frustrated due to certain things. An uncertain wipe just negatively impacts both the company Gameforge and us. We don't know what to expect - investing too much time now can cause us to be really frustrated and even not touch the official release while no wipe would put us (a competing guild) behind a lot.
In the gaming industry it is natural to set dates for releases in advance. That allows the consumers to get interested in a product (well if you want to call it software in this case) and enormously increases the interest in a society.
The way GF handles this they might annoy people in a way that they won't touch the game anymore.
This is NOT good for the game. We really need to know if there is a wipe to be expected or not. -
The crashes are most frequent when dealing with skills. The most irritating and unclear point is why the login servers only let you in if you preform satanic rituals
-
• the constant DC during dungeons (wasting so much energy)
• the severe lag on certain servers
• only few ppl got the free cash shops(while the rest cant)
• unstable servers (sometimes some ppl cant even enter the game)
• lack of transparency (as mentioned from op)
Tbh, a wipe is definitely needed after the beta.
Going Open Beta and skipping Closed Beta was such a bad decision.
if this was closed beta, these issues would've been addressed easily and it would've been ready for OB.
Also releasing it on steam without proper testing (lack of CBT) is already affecting the reviews on steam. This will drive new players away from the game. (as we all know, having bad reviews = most ppl wont even try it).
Hell, it would've been fine if you just labeled this launch as "Open Closed Beta" instead of making it OB.
Cus tbh, this game wasn't ready for Open Beta at all.

I agree with OP in that a couple of things seemed to be out of the blue and sudden in terms of when this Open Beta release was as well as the lack of information in-game regarding the maintenances. Regarding their timeline on the release date, they may be using the OBT phase to do a cost analysis to get an estimate of what a full launch would look like in a global server and may not have a specific date in mind, thus resulting in the lack of information to the community.
With that being said, if I was in the PR team's shoes, I would love to know the organic interest in this game and how quickly word spreads even with the lack of information. This may actually be an indicator of the true hype or popularity in this game. I also imagine that this sudden news was meant to isolate some of the player base spike we are facing today. I have played a bit when the game launched and it seemed to be fine until the rest of the players started logging on.

Makabe
I do understand where you are coming from. More info is always good for the consumer. Makes them feel appreciated and included. I don't like to be in the dark as well. But that being said, what you (and I) expect how a company should share info is not the same as what they can/willing to share. It is still up to them.
As for beta wipe. I've always expect beta to be wiped when I do beta testing. Sometimes it can be a good thing to start with a fresh system. Kinda like how you occasionally need to reinstall a fresh, clean Windows. (I tweak Windows too much). I dunno, lets see how it goes. -
"To avoid any abnormal exp gain" hm....... I smell something here

Look at other MMORPG releases in the last few years - Open Beta was always their Official and Commercial Release at the same time. -
"Abnormal exp gain"
the exp is already so low already
have to repeat dungeons so many times just to level up like omg

You know what other thing that grinds my gears? They keep putting up server maintenance without even a rough estimate when it will end. I understand that we'll get a lot of these emergency maintenance but at the very least i think they should give us a rough estimate on when it'll be finished not just leaving us hanging and guessing when it'll end.
-
I still need to know if they are gonna wipe or not. = ,=
I hate how there is no definite answer.
Putting in all this effort and time only to have it wasted in the end. = w=....
