    Oof, that's neat. I've been playing MMO's for nearly 10 years now, none of them really slap the wipe stick on open beta because it's open to everyone, and everyone can technically start at the same time. Wiping this makes no sense, especially since people are progressing. You'd rather them give a wipe than a free skill reset which, will most likely happen. That's honestly just silly.
    You don't wipe something that doesn't need to be wiped because it didn't have CBT or AT. Especially for the purpose of skills, lol.
    You might as well wipe the server every time someone messes up their skill build. Which uh, news flash. Happens a lot more often than you'd think. So it's not necessary, a free skill reset would be all we needed.

    And even if you mess up your skill build a bit, it doesn't heavily destroy your character, it just feels bad. You'll be weaker, but it's not impossible to still play and clear content. I would know because I messed up a bit, but I'm still destroying bosses...

    And uh, well. As your post says. Your mentality made my day. :)

    Are you guys serious right now with your test phase BS? Test has never meant "test your skill build", its been "test to make sure the game isn't broke". Free skill resets are a NEW THING, back in the day it used to be if you messed up your build you either ponied up hard cash to fix it, or you restarted your character.


    This game has skill resets, and Gameforge will implement them eventually. Eventually being key. We do not know whether its planned as cash shop or will be handed out as freebies through item rewards.


    The amount of skill points you get at 55 are enough to almost max everything. So even if you mess your build up somewhere, you haven't ruined your character. At the most you have a weaker skill over another. This is NOT enough to claim the game has been ruined.


    And finally, calling for a wipe because you messed up your skill build is lunacy. Wipe or you've ruined the game Gameforge, because I thought this is a beta, and beta means wipe, therefore test everything cause it'll get reset anyway right, meaning pick up skills randomly and then cross your fingers hoping for a reset only to find out that surprise! That random forum guy who had no idea what he was talking about bamboozled you again, there IS no reset.


    Gameforge must be pretty greedy yeah, not giving us skill resets through their cash shop that's broken and doesn't work half the time, and not selling anything in it for real money at all, and the NERVE of them to give us free stuff like respawners, mats, and EP pots!

    I agree, you bring up some good points; testing a skill for its functionality in our build is quite fair. For this reason, I too, want them to implement skill resets ASAP, since its not exactly fun having to scrap your character because of some misconceptions or bad skill choices.

    They'll be in cashshop and in level ups. Most of the people that are complaining right now blindly follow builds. If you don't know why you do something in a build chances are you shouldn't do the build. I do however want them as well since I made a few mistakes along the way, but I'm not going to go complaining about needing a wipe or needing to add them in game right now because I made a mistake. (Also make sure you ask around about builds not just following one)

    It's not like this game just got released, there has been information for this game for nearly 2 years.

    I agree with those that say an open beta is for testing the servers / game and not for testing your own character

    and skill builds to see whatever works best. Though 1 free bound reset maybe wouldn't have hurt, using the open beta

    I dont really trust the builds that is posted online by different people, its still best to try them yourselves.. And i didnt say that im voting for a wipe just for a free skill reset.. People had problems at the start of OBT.. Constant downtimes, and not to mention people who havent really played the game yet and was testing different stuffs.. I would agree to not wipe it if they had an Alpha or Close beta.. Isnt it at close beta all your progress are wiped too? 1 last thing, gameforge has a really bad reputation when it comes to games hence some people wanted to wait for release to make sure everything works fine, then not wiping the open beta means they are far behind no?


    Let me just reiterate.. the only reason i voted for wipe is because they didnt do "any testing phase at all".. Yes the game has been released for like what? 2 years? but not all people wanted to play on other servers cuz of lags/pings..

    Seems like someone's unable to read. There's absolutely no reason to wipe OBT, for the purpose that everyone has access to it. You would wipe CBT or Alpha because it's not available to the public. That was the entire point of my post, that we don't need a wipe whatsoever. CBT/Alpha only warrant's a wipe because it's not open to everyone. Clearly, a concept you don't understand.

    OMG all. stop about that WIPE discuss. THIS question is already answer it. The thread is about SKILL RESET... no need bring WIPE problem again. and im sure they will add @ IM for sure and mybe free later.

    Nothing new to say. I think beta players deserves free skill reset, it won't ruin game economy or anything.

    Welcome to gameforge where there is no free stuffs, all paid.. "you screwed up your skills? HA we wont give you free skill reset because we are money grabbers and we want your money so here buy it from the item shop".. :)

    I feel for the people playing classes without a guide on the forum (Even guides made by foreign users that play JP were clunky at best). I had a feeling that we wouldn't get resets due to how the game is. When Ice made the comment in a guide to "save enough points for advancement" when you hit 55 - I had a lingering feeling that they would be sparse. >.> Good thing I found a good guide coughYamatocoughTotesFreeAdvertisementcough


    I do feel really bad for the people that had to experiment with theirs due to no guide :( I hope they give out a free reset for you all.
