I guess Gameforge wouldn't have anything against you playing on their servers but the SEA publisher might have, because why would you play on their servers (whenever they might come) when you have already more advanced accounts on another publisher's servers?
By the way, VPNs are a violation of the T&C (3.2.5) so you might get banned for it ![]()

There is an upcoming maintenance, where there will be an update patch to client. Let's see if this might be the blocking of other players outside NA.

Welp. Time to pack out. It was nice playing for a bit. See you guys soon in the non-existing SEA server.

Dear SoulWorkers,
We will be carrying out server maintenance on 05/03/2018, starting at 14:00 CET in order to apply some minor bug fixes, changes in the chat filter and to do some optimizations on server side, meaning you will have to download a client patch. The maintenance period will take at least 2 hours. Web services and servers will not be reachable during this time.Stay up to date on any changes to the timetable by checking in on our forum and also on our social media channels on Facebook and Twitter.
Not sure what time this is where you are? Check https://time.is/CETNote regarding IP block: Players from regions which are not under our licensing rights unfortunately are not able to access our version of SoulWorker.
The SoulWorker Team
Friendly reminder: CALLED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first mistake was that I didn't wait for someone from the staff to respond the thread and got all happy and shit. But, again, maybe even the staff didn't know about this one. GameForge kinda sucks when dealing with information...
Now, our only hope is that someone else bring the game for SA. The hype was kinda big so maybe this can be kinda possible. Or do the same thing we do with the Jap server but with GF's server.
It kinda sucks that they let us play the game on a broken server (at the beginning) and it sucks even more if you were one of the people that help the servers improve with feedbacks and all the sudden a wild IpBlock appears. -

Cya, unfortunately south america has ip block too. (⌣̩̩́_⌣̩̩̀)

My assumption is they got called out from the developers: "Hey, if you want to provide service for this area, you have to buy a licence!"
Nothing really you can do. Business is Business.
Actually finding out who is responsible for this in bombard them with emails might work.

-
Now you wait another year or more for the publisher in your area to release the game too. Seems like SEA is getting one but did not see anything about SA getting it.
So once again either wait or find other "ways" of playing it.
Some people were saying that they should have IP blocked from day 1 but maybe, just maybe they didn't plan on it. As Nitros said Business is indeed Business can't beat money.
Gotta wait and see what happens and if you really like the game pray for the best

Region blocking isnt really a problem, but as I said it should be done in the 1st place.
Or make a proper announcement so people wont waste their time on something like this....
-
We throw a party.

I think it's kinda silly for Gameforge to just IPBlock without notice now and as most have said, this could've been avoided if Gameforge decided to do an IPBlock prior to releasing SoulWorker to the public in the first place. SEA is pretty much non-existent at this point, probably never will see any releases from SEA and that is counting out KR, JP and or TW since they're not in SEA region.

What countries/regions are blocked exactly? Can't find a list anywhere
-
It's a matter of time for the gameforge to realize the drastic drop of players and will take out the ip block, meanwhile I'll stop wasting my time here

All not inside NA or europe

Or the game begins to die and remove the ip block because of this.

Um no, they literally don't have the rights to let you play the game. Another publisher does so you leaving isn't going to make them let you back.

GG gameforge... Now I can't play Soulworker with my friends who lives in SEA..... ¬_¬
Thanks... -

Hahahahahaha....
Why do I find this funny? -
