It's because they dont have the license for the region. See the message above me. At this point anger and anything else would be meaningless. SEA region has a publisher so Gameforge can't rightly infringe upon that region.

I know but they just why not launch the game with the block already on, and just announced this on a maintenance on the forum... just a excuse to say so we forget to block you guys...

That is a question no one on this forum could likely answer for you. I am sure even the CMs/GMs would not be authorized to talk about that even if they knew.

  • Well then The game CAN be accessible for who ever downloaded it before hand.

So if you downloaded before and still can play it just thanks to what ever made this happen for some reason.
(seriously who mad this happen, I want to kiss them)

The only problem is OTHER people from block region cant play this game without VPN or some sort of IP distorter.

But yeah we get it. Licensing is a lawful thing.

But if we DO get the SEA version of the game lets just hope it Cross-server.

    fetch?filedataid=9287&sigpic=1

This is your usual Momo nothing to see here

  • They kind of could check the statistics for SEA players and decide whether it's a good idea to try licensing it for SEA as well. South America too if they got IP block. I'm pretty sure there are lots of people from those regions playing right now to make it worth licensing.

Also, I don't know any pinoy or VN but the more, the merrier as it means better chance at finding dungeon groups and more items on market.

Only a sub-humanswould be xenophobic in a flipping online game given all the advantages a large playerbase provides. La murican goblino GTFO.

  • I'm from Argentina and I can play (I went to play with expectations that I would have to uninstall the game with fury while crying), but I could ... do they know when they will do the ipblock ?. Hopefully, never

Argentina here as well. It'd be nice to know when exactly the IP block will happen.

And I thought I had finally found an MMO I liked that wasn't dead. Just great.

  • And I thought I had finally found an MMO I liked that wasn't dead. Just great.

I second that so much. Now who knows when they'll release for Latin America or Brazil. The worst thing is to know that the South American publishers will most likely hire North American servers and we'll still have to play at 180+ ping.

  • If they knew that other company has the right licenses for south america, asia, sea.. etc etc. Then it should've launched from the BEGINING with IP BLOCK.

    Don't you agree?.

More people to help them do their jobs with feedbacks. As soon as most of the problems were found by the users and fixed, they put the IpBlock.
    Simple =/

  • man you guys sure are salty lol

Of course we are. We can't play a game after spending time on it and actually starting to like it.

This wouldn't have happened had they told us we would be IP blocked from the start.

That's very common, indeed. But sometimes It's even worse and they host it on european servers. Let's hope if we ever get a south american server it will be a proper one.

And that it doesn't happen on 2025.

Besides LevelUp Games (since they already got Elsword), I can't think of anyone that would take this kind of game. At least here on Brazil.

There aren't many game publishers in South America. And most screw up big time which causes the games to die within weeks or months, sadly.

This is why my hopes for an actual south american server of Soul Worker are really low. I do hope GF eventually lets us back in.

  • Soul Worker doesn't have a planned publisher afaik for South America, so nobody there should be seeing any IP blocks, I'd think?

We'll be getting them, It's been confirmed. Along with SEA and I'm not sure what other regions.

Well until they make us download a new update that it isn't from the client or they don't banned the accounts we can still play the game. If any of this happens later on we can still use a VPN but I'm kinda tired of using it.
Again, the lack of information is destroying here. They NEVER bring up the possibility of a IpBlock. =/

  • SEA publisher sounds pretty bad, to hold licensing rights for 2 years and not give you guys a game. Unfortunately, if gameforge let you do it, they'd be under penalty of a massive lawsuit, then potentially losing rights to soulworker, making NOONE able to play it. Really really sucks man.

  • Yeah Still not found good publisher, well what's i follow is cherry credits and Dragon Nest SEA. That's the last one good in my honest opinion.
    well Last i see ofc it's p2w.
