Questions and Answers
Q: This guide is TL;DR.
A: In the first room group up mobs near the exit portals and AoE kill them. In the second room, split up and destroy the 3 Blue Crystals first, then kill all remaining enemies, and finally kill the Red Crystal. In the main lobby (where there are 5 portals), be careful when going into the portal on the rightmost side (the 5th portal, counting from the left). In that room, there are 3 hallways. Dodge through the flames in the 1st and 2nd hallways, then WAIT before entering the last, 3rd hallways. Everyone must enter the final hallway together. Three seconds after someone enters the 3rd hallway, flames will start to light up. You cannot dodge through those flames, because you have to jump to get over them. If you all go together, you'll get through the room before the flames can damage you. But if one brainless chicken enters the hallway first, he'll trigger the traps and all the party members that were left in the back will die trying to go through the flames. Decide on a signal so that everyone knows when to enter the room. A good signal is, for example, the party leader jumping up, or Erwin using his buff skill.
Q: Last Carnival is easy anyway, it doesn't require a guide.
A: It's easy, true. The only important thing new players should know is how to do the final fire room before boss. I've seen too many newbies die there or wipe other party members due to them entering the final hallway blindly and lighting up the flames before other party members had chance to get even close.
However, it doesn't hurt for new people to read it so that they know how to clear it faster. Nobody likes to waste time in dungeons and it would take them at least a couple runs to figure out the best course of action to clear each room fast and reliably, so there's where this guide comes into place.
How to access Last Carnival
Last Carnival is the 1st casual raid dungeon, located on the right part of Rocco Town. To access it, you must first finish all yellow (story) quests, then accept the blue quest from Benjamin in Rocco. You must accept this quest in order to unlock the portal to Last Carnival. This dungeon is pretty easy. Make sure to follow the advice below to clear the dungeon as fast as possible. Making the dungeon take more time than necessary is not appreciated by anyone in your party.
Recommended Gear/AR Cards
The dungeon is easy enough that you can clear it even with level 45 blue gear. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need Steel Grave MK II or MK III gear for this dungeon. You should pick up gear that has HP bonuses, Crit Rate, Crit Damage, Attack, Attack Speed. It doesn't matter if it's level 45-55 blue gear or level 35-55 yellow gear. As long as it has some of the good stats mentioned above, you'll be perfectly fine.
For AR Cards, pick up Deus Ex Machina/Junk Knight/Arachnis to deal AoE Damage. Other good cards are the standard ones: Glutton Army, Rita, Big Puppet, and other AR Cards that give you more damage capabilities.
Drops
This dungeon, similar to all other casual raids, drops:
- Tritanium/Irregular Stones/Common Materials (used to craft Raid gear)
- Blueprints to craft Raid gear
- Raid Accessories (which come in 2 different sets)
- BP (Booker Points) - you get more BP with better dungeon rank
- Elemental shards (only in Elemental Mode, which will be available in the future update)
- Tickets to enter Golden Citadel (not guaranteed - we might start off with an update that removes GC ticket altogether, so you won't need any ticket to enter Golden Citadel)
First area
Go near the exit portal, and group up mobs together there. This is done because the annoying small puppet miniboss doesn't want to follow you into the middle of the room, so very often you'll end up having all the mobs dead, except for this miniboss which will be near full health. By grouping up mobs together near the end portal, you guarantee that you'll be able to kill this miniboss quickly as well.
Second area
In this room, split up into 3 teams. One team goes to the left, one goes to the right, one goes straight. Each time must focus on killing their Blue Crystal first to prevent summoning of more mobs. After all Blue Crystals are down, kill all remaining mobs. It's good to group them up together near the middle, provided that they won't take too much time walking up to the middle of the room. After all the mobs are dead, you'll be able to attack the Red Crystal.
Third area
You'll see a lobby with 5 portals. Go into the first portal on the left (all other are inactive). Kill the miniboss to prevent him from spawning more trash mobs. After he's dead, all mobs will die as well.
Fourth area
Enter the second portal from the left. You'll have to clear 3 waves of mobs here before the timer runs out. It's not difficult at all. If you somehow don't kill them all in time, you'll have to eat an explosion to your face. In this room it's useful to use Junk Knight by standing in the corner to ensure your summon hits all the mobs in the room.
Fifth area
Enter the fourth portal from the left. In this room, mobs will spawn after a certain amount of time has passed. You can't really speed it up. Watch out not to step on the flames on the floor.
Sixth area
This room is VERY important, so focus here. You'll have to traverse 3 hallways, connected by small rooms. Don't kill the mobs in any of the hallways. Dodge through the flames in the 1st and 2nd hallway to avoid taking damage. DON'T enter the 3rd hallway yet. Wait in the small room before the 3rd hallway. Everyone must enter the last hallway at the same time and go through it quickly. If one person steps inside the 3rd hallway, it will activate the flames 3 seconds afterwards. You cannot dodge those flames, as you have to jump to get through them. You'll take damage if the flames are already up. If one person enters the room too soon, the rest of the party will have to die because they won't make it in time before the flames show up. Make sure to agree on a call to enter the room simultaneously. A good call is, for example, your party leader jumping up, or Erwin using his buff skills.
Boss area
This boss is very simple. His attacks are easy to learn and avoid. The only thing you should watch out for is the flames that will appear on the floor as the battle progresses. Don't stand in those flames and you'll be alright.
