Questions and Answers
Q: This guide is TL;DR.
A: At least read the boss section down
below ![]()
Q: I can't activate the devices, I keep being hit by AoE circles!
A: Have one person who isn't targeted by the circles take care of the devices. Don't stay close to that person if you're being under fire from the mobs.
Q: I keep dying on boss!
A: Once you enter the boss area, stay where you are and wait for the boss to come to you. Fight the boss near the wall where you started and you'll be safe from the bombardments. If you go into the middle of the room, you'll most likely die, as the bombardment cannot be iframed.
How to access Bandits Highway
Bandits Highway is the 3rd casual raid dungeon, located on the left part of Grace City. To access it, you must finish the previous 2 casual raids and proceed with the chain of raid quests. The quest to unlock portal to Bandits Highway is given by Xenia in Grace City (she will give you this quest as long as you completed all previous raid quests). This dungeon is pretty easy, but you'll have to learn how to do the boss, otherwise you'll just keep wasting revives. It's not hard once you know what to do. Apart from that, make sure to follow the advice below to clear the dungeon as fast as possible. It's long enough already as it is, and making it even longer by playing like a headless chicken is not appreciated by anyone in your party.
Recommended Gear/AR Cards
The dungeon is easy enough that you can clear it even with level 45 blue gear. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need Steel Grave MK II or MK III gear for this dungeon. You should pick up gear that has HP bonuses, Crit Rate, Crit Damage, Attack, Attack Speed. It doesn't matter if it's level 45-55 blue gear or level 35-55 yellow gear. As long as it has some of the good stats mentioned above, you'll be perfectly fine.
For AR Cards, pick up Deus Ex Machina/Junk Knight/Arachnis to deal AoE Damage. Other good cards are the standard ones: Glutton Army, Rita, Big Puppet, and other AR Cards that give you more damage capabilities.
Drops
This dungeon, similar to all other casual raids, drops:
- Tritanium/Irregular Stones/Common Materials (used to craft Raid gear)
- Blueprints to craft Raid gear
- Raid Accessories (which come in 2 different sets)
- BP (Booker Points) - you get more BP with better dungeon rank
- Elemental shards (only in Elemental Mode, which will be available in the future update)
- Tickets to enter Golden Citadel (not guaranteed - we might start off with an update that removes GC ticket altogether, so you won't need any ticket to enter Golden Citadel)
First area
Destroy the walls and run to the right side of this map. Kill all the mobs that spawn there, then activate the switch. Run back and kill the remaining mobs.
Second area
Run to the middle and kill the first wave of mobs. After some time, the second wave will spawn in the middle. Shortly after, you'll get a message about gates appearing. You'll have to destroy all 3 gates in order to proceed. The gates each have 24 HP, and all hits will deal 1 HP. Additionally, the gates are invincible for about 0.6 seconds after each hit they take. So each gate will take at least 15-20 seconds to kill. After destroying all 3 gates, kill all remaining enemies.
Third area
Activate the tank in the back, then proceed to kill the minibosses in the middle. Watch out for falling debris. Afterwards proceed forwards to kill the rest of the spawning mobs.
Fourth area
Kill all the spawning mobs to make the switch operable. You'll have to activate two switches in this area to proceed. But you'll have to avoid the bombardment from the cannon mobs in the back. If you're geared enough, you can kill those cannon mobs with AR Cards to make this area less annoying. But you probably can't do that if you're reading this. The best strategy is to have one party member take the heat of the bombardment and keep attacking the mobs, while another party member quickly activates the two switches. Don't forget to take aggro of the spawning mobs so that they don't attack person who's trying to operate the switches. After the whole area is open, you can either kill the two rooms separately, or try to drag all mobs into the final room. I prefer to kill the two rooms separately, as the mobs don't always like to cooperate and waste some time trying to follow you, or they get stuck in a wall or other object.
Fifth area
In this area, you'll have to destroy the containers while avoiding explosions on the ground. There's no way to speed up this room, apart from destroying the containers as soon as they spawn. They each take 5 hits and similarly to the gates you fought before, it takes over half a second between each hit can register.
Sixth area
Here, split up into two groups. One party destroys stuff on the left, while the other kills stuff on the right. After the minibosses spawn in the middle, activate both devices to cast explosions in the middle of the map. If the mobs try to run out of the circles, drag them back in, but be careful to run out to safety before the explosions happen. If you get caught up in them, you'll get stunned for a few seconds which wastes a lot of time. Geared parties can skip activating the devices and instead kill all minibosses just by attacking them. If you're geared, it's faster than having to wait for the explosion to happen.
Seventh area
Activate the device on the wall, then take some distance from it and kill the mobs. You can get hit by the explosion if you stay too close. After that, have one person run in front of everyone else, so that he gets the attention of AoE circles from the cannon mobs. Have one person operate the device 4 times until the barrier goes down. Keep aggroing the mobs to prevent them from attacking the person operating the device. You can also kill the cannon mobs with AoE attacks before the wall goes down.
In the next room, follow the same pattern as previously. Have one person activate the device, while other people take care of the AoE circles and the mobs.
Boss area
Stay right where you started. Don't move until the boss walks right to you. Fight the boss near the wall, right behind where you started. This is done because at certain HP thresholds, the boss will summon cannon mobs that will bombard the whole map, with the exception of the small area near the wall where you started. Those explosions cannot be iframed with dodge, and they cannot be iframed by using ultimate skill. Keep the boss there and you won't have to worry about the bombardment at all. Apart from this mechanic, the boss is very easy. You shouldn't have problems with him at all.
