Rollover Energy Points Resetting at Beginning of Week

  • Are you for or against rollover Energy Points being reset on Monday? 55

    1. Reset (7) 13%
    2. Don't Reset (48) 87%

So I only have experience playing on JP, but from looking around and through word of mouth I've been told in KR that Energy Point Rollover (the amount that you carry over above 200) is reset to 0 at the beginning of the week. In our case, this seems to be Monday at 9:00AM CET. Last time I checked on JP, your rollover EP never reset through the system, and it caught a lot of my guild members by surprise when the logged in today when they only had a flat 200. Since it appears that our server is based on KR (merged storage, no supporters), this feature was probably carried over.

Thus, what does everyone think about this. Personally, I'm against this since I can only think of negative effects and not positive ones. This will hurt the people who have variable weekends (not Saturday and Sunday) and irregular schedules. It effectively punishes people who are unable to play on certain days than others. For example, if I am free Monday and Thursday, but not on Tuesday and Wednesday, I will have 400 Energy available when I open this game on Thursday. However, if I am free Friday and Monday, but not Saturday and Sunday, I will have 200 available when I open this game on Monday. It should not affect most people, but it doesn't make sense that this mechanic can arbitrarily hurt people based on their scheduling.

With how some western communities already have issues with the Energy problem as a whole, I think this part of it should be considered to be removed since it doesn't seem to really help, but can end up hurting.

EDIT: Your fatigue is capped at 600, so the most you can save up is the equivalent of two extra days.

  • If the reset never happened, people would just successvely roll over 100 EP every day on alts, and have thousands of stamina to spend during events with limited time drops or rewards. This basically punishes players who actively play all their characters each week.

Rollover is already a concept that doesn't exist in many other games with fatigue systems; if there was no reset, I don't see why they bother with a fatigue system at all.

Edit: Its been brought to my attention that rollover EP caps at around 600. This kinda makes my argument lose steam, so I actually agree that the reset is unnecessary.

  • Personally I think this will definitely stop a number of people from playing. It's bad enough that there is energy at all in a "western version" but to stop you from playing your main character is messed up. I have a problem with ftp strong arming you to cash shop. I think warframe spoiled me.

  • I personally don't favor the rest. Unfortunately, my weekends are busy and as mentioned in the OP, the rollover energy from Sat/Sun will be reset on Monday.

Although not in my favor, this probably won't stop me from playing the game, since there are ways to gain energy in game with the free daily items from the cash shop.

  • We want the energy sistem removed , if it stays the game will die in a couple of months anyway and by a couple i mean (1-2). Its like having a turd on the game people will see it will say what is this shit and leave. Ofcourse maybe the game target audiance is not the people that spend 5-50 dolars on the game but people that spend 500-5000 dolars. In that case you dont need many people to join and hope there are enouth whales for this game to feel like a mmo and not a single player game.

That's not true at all. If the games system doesn't fancy your wants then find another game to play.

Plenty of games have been extremely successful with stamina systems and considering this game is only being HOSTED by gameforge they can't make a huge game change like that without OWNING the game. So complain about it all you want it's not going away.

  • Maybe the reset is intended to make more appealing the VIP system or to try to hold back some bots. Anyway 200FP it's too low, not even the half :(

  • well it would be nice, if the rollover stayed, that each character kinda gets compensated for how much energy was converted, like xp pots increasing exp, energypots worth half of the stored energy or something like this.

  • its up to GF to localize the game and EP system could count as localization. Also game that has this typically end up going whale hunting in the long run..... ...... rollover good EP in general needs to go

I tried def need me a signature

  • This reset setting is very different from what I've seen for other fatigue systems. Usually it's refilled to the brim everyday after 24 hours but this system is... interesting? I don't know. I'm not a fan of it either and they should try something else.

  • I basically missed 4 days of Soul worker due to the storm Riley wrecking the entire north east. No power OTL and because of that i couldn't play. I was expecting like at least 400 energy to work on. Instead when ic ame back monday. I got 200 instead. OTL expectation gets obliterated. CURSE YOU STORM Nor'easter QQ

Can you tell me any game in NA or EU that is succesfull with such a sistem ?

Also i think they coud cripple the sistem give us 1000 energy each day

  • Stamina system aside...

I can see why the reset exists, and that's probably to prevent people that hover around 200-400 stamina gaining like 100-200 extra stamina and just constantly capping out (?). I wouldn't have much of an issue with this personally since I always use up all 200 I have; but since this is a Western port of a Korean game the audience may be more likely to play the game for longer and for more often. Thus, the reset doesn't really have a place in this version of the game.

I vote remove it. The stamina system is already an inconvenience. Resetting saved stamina is just pouring salt in the wound for a lot of people.

yea here in the west we tend to spend a lot more time in one day on our gaming. like one day work one day gaming. as much time as we are willing it is a major inconvenience like i had a mate 3 levels ahead say he not really willing to help level my alt because EP
