Can't log into account at launcher (backend error)

Since today, I am not able to log into my account on the launcher. It says "Backend Error: There was an unexpected error. Please contact the Support team." I was able to log in this past week with no issues. I tried the Repair Files, reinstalling the game, and downloading the .dll files (Launcher issue - 05.03.2018 (.dll), they did not install because I already had a copy installed of both x64 and x86 versions).

Does anyone have any solutions or ideas how to fix? I sent a support ticket already but I am hoping someone would have a suggestion in the meantime.

I'm nearly at my wit's end! Tried restarting computer, restarting internet, reinstalling (again), trying various compatibility settings, using VPN service, and even installing on a different computer. All of these results in the same problem.

For anyone coming in, I've found a workaround. There seems to be some kind of issue with either my ISP or the way the login protocol works. I set up tethering from a mobile device (wireless provider), used that to get past the account login screen, and now I can play again. It's just a bit bothersome to switch every time the game crashes, but it's better than not being able to log in.
