Yeah but that is fair though. For a game that needs to keep itself running, they need something worth for the players to need. Upgrading in any game that is f2p will need some cash money thrown in at some point, it's only fair. If you need the money, work a job or do chores to earn it, simple.

Mats are meant for afking. go make a coffee. take a 30 min anime break or go buy something from the store then come back. if you're disconnected. well you got some ep at least.

always someone who will justify it by i saying it can be obtained at a ludicrous rate. and defending a game that hides it lack of content that i personally will play regardless of how much long as stuff isnt gating like EP and what seems to be coming with this cash shop. i had hope for NA/EU games changing at-least a little

Best of advice : If you're going to live with it, do a light complaint instead of constant heavy ones or else you'll get negative feedback no matter what you say.

The most pay to win thing about this game is the brooch sets, which, by the way, are not even necessary to even do all of the content in this game. They're extremely convenient, is what I'd call them. The only real way to obtain the best sets would be to whale, but you can get them via Market place as well, so if you wanna gun for top player, you've got a real low chance at being there, but it's definitely possible.
EP Is hardly an issue, since they wont sell EP in the shop. To my knowledge, other versions only give 100 EP through events, while 50 EP is available to everyone for just some grutin coins.
As it stand's, if it's not necessary to play the game, then I don't care about brooch sets. They're just a convenience, and like any other convenience, you don't need it. But, it would be nice if you had it. -

While I'm not sure how much this can be trusted, this was said in the Steam Discussions. Let's hope it's some compromise we all wouldn't mind agreeing to.

As they stated earlier, its to limit people's game time. I think it's a brilliant idea to be honest.

Well, I won't be surprised if EP is actually in the web cash shop on/after official release.
At any rate, the distance between a whale and somehow playing for free doesn't have an insurmountable paywall, just a very difficult hurdle. It seems more like a mid-term retention plan to retain players though. If we were at other client rates, people would rattle up to cap fairly quickly then discover that there isn't quite as much to do except dedicate yourself to gear improvement.

P2W in my time meant acquiring something that would NEVER be able to get as a F2P no matter how well or long you played. Which would mean having more stats or lower CD or the sort,
Getting there faster isn't P2W, could be if you are trying to be top 1 without spending money I guess.
I guess the terms changed with time.

No, they haven't. People just like to change the definition of P2W to suit their needs, because they don't like pay for convenience, which is not an issue.

P4C is a term suited for your issue of my issue but its just convience. its like law makers and lootboxes are not gambling

My definition of p2w always was something obtained in a cash shop that players could never get without forking over that $$$.
Then again, it all falls down to convenience.

EP will not be a pay2win factor. After you hit level cap (which is an insubstantial portion of the game's content, btw), the game is focused on gear progression, which are mostly locked behind D6 (not gated by EP) and raids (uses a separate entry limit system similar to SG).
It's just a system to prevent someone from playing for 40+ hours and destroying their physical health. As you said, you liked to play during certain "off days" where you have more free time -- the energy carry-over system is meant to help people who share a similar playstyle.
IMO the whole EP situation is a huge overreaction. -
if i have a lot of money i will give all to them because they made amazing anime game..

Pay 2 Win in PvE oriented game? Eh?

BUMP go look at cash shop. repeats self if soulworker continues down this path its going to be even more P2W than other versions

Yeah I looked and? I didn't see any p2w items. You really need to check the understanding of the term before you start shouting that SoulWorker is p2w. Elsword is p2w. Dragon Nest is hella p2w but SoulWorker as if now? Nope. You can play without spending even 1$ on this game and still be good/have fun.

and think it like this. people say tera is p2w because you can sell cash and buy the end game items from broker. in games like these where skill is important having the end game gear doesnt make you better than others really. one such example is there was a guy in tera, he bought all the top-tier set from broker and no one accepted him to party because he was really bad at the game. he was forced to change it's nick and character appearance for that. same can be said about this game as well.
