Cash Shop/Costumes Prices.

  • I'm not going to rage at least. I do want to give suggestions for prices but I need a lot of time to actually write a comprehensive post on the subject. I was doing the same with the Energy System when this happened at ~3 AM

I will say that while nobody is forcing us to buy anything, it does leave players disrespected when the monetization system is geared towards people who can afford to throw $50-100 like they're nothing over the other 90% of the playerbase. At the very least, the average player deserves an opportunity to enjoy supporting the game and getting something they want without the prices taking the enjoyment away from what the monetization was designed to do. This happens regardless of if you're the kind of person who would spend $5 or $10 or $25 on an estimated monthly basis.

It's bad business for the bottom line and it makes the playerbase have less faith in the publisher, those are negative impacts

  • simple as another issue like energy system , energy used when dungeons kill or no kill the boss, region block. this shop price also. and what that?

just take it / buy it or leave it. Nothing gonna change even ppl cry about the price.

  • This cash shop is actually a joke, where's our free skill reset that we were supposed to get I'm not giving your slimy hands money for jack until I see it.

You can't just take it out of the level up chests and force this expensive trash on us.

  • Nobody forces anyone to buy something is irrefutable. So it is clear that very few will buy in this store, hence the fear I have. Two things can happen:

    1. - GF admits that it was wrong in the prices and it was simply a joke of some of its employees who placed an extra 0 to the items. So bring prices down to something more affordable.

    2. - In truth the amount of people who buy and the GF winnings are too low to keep the game, so they decide to close it.

I really hope it's the first time

  • no hope coz nothing gonna change xD

  • Nobody wants the game to fail or go down the drain - not the players, not Gameforge, nobody. If it's going to help their profitability they have reason to listen, and you need a playerbase who has faith to be profitable. Thus, they have reason to listen, and we have a responsibility to speak.

  • This is a company out to make money and pay their employees, not to satisfy your needs for the most kawaii character creations.

Actually a company is suppose to SATISFY their customers and also since everyone can see the price for costumes are quite expensive they should reduce them. Is not likely reducing price for costumes will make them loses money, but most likely the opposite is the basic of marketing, Lower price = More customers / Customers satisfaction is the priority. Plus other consumable I don't really know if can say they expensive and stuffs as I didn't check but mostly are costumes that are expensive so.

  • $20 in this game gives you a basic outfit... While $20 in League of Legends gives you...

new model, new texture, new splash image, new animations, new visuals, new voice over and sounds.

Download League of Legends "Big Mac" is waaaaayy better than this game "Big Mac" just saying...

  • that true, but if u read many complain about many problem @ SW here before no much change. all go with T&C, legal right, agreement with another publisher. so they cant help it with that. that why i say about this price. just take it/buy it or leave it. simple like that.

  • Hairstyles should be $10 period.
Highest costume should be $30 with an emote.
Hair color prices I can live with.

Even games like BDO which are known for an expensive cash shop don't sell costumes for 40 bucks...which include idle animations ///emotes///
Was ready to drop top dollar, but this is pretty ridiculous.

Any person looking to buy from the cash shop is typically going to want a new hayrstyle...color...and outfit.
    That totals out at

Mid tier costume with hair color and hairstyle: 4230 soul cash (50 bucks NO MATTER WHAT)

    Two 19.99 = 3600
$40 bucks spent already, and you're still short.
    One 9.99 = 750
    $50 bucks spent.

You might as well just buy the $50 option off the bat or you'll be losing 900 soul cash. They're forcing us to choose one of the options, and they're not even being slick about it.

  • If they reduced the price by a third people would buy more costumes for more characters but over a longer period of time.

This feels stressed like they already know the game will die fast. Screams cash grab.

It's fun tho that these publishers haven't learned basics when it comes to selling merchandise. More at a low price is always better then a few at a high price.

Just look at IKEA, H&M, Zara etc...

  • It's true that we don't know the details of their contract, but until we know the specifics we can at least assume it's reasonable that a localizer profiting from the game they publish has control over their own monetization. The monetization system has differences from KR/JP as-is, so we know they can change it.

And the beta's only been out for a week at most - they're still working on making their way through all the information and server stability. Figuring out what changes to make takes time, nobody's going to expect an immediate response. People are busy enough getting the thing to run.

  • Lets not compare a moba with 140 champions and an instanced mmo with 4

the closest you can get is Warframe

But than again, it costs only 10$ for a deluxe skin

  • Isn't the difference between those complains and the prices of the cash shop that there is not a contractual obligation for them to put those prices for the items?

  • Can we compare it to blade and soul? Because Blade and Soul has a lot of free, cool, and somewhat easy to acquire skins.

  • So is SW, you have gluten (whatever the name is) shop which sells bp, you can have bp from finishing towns at 100%, there is one from primal raid, hell, you can even buy costumes from players.
