Cash Shop/Costumes Prices.

  • Its only going to cost you a few hundred dollars, sure. I don't think any regular person is going to do that.

  • True.

Few hundred dollars vs EP point system.

    1 day vs 1 year

Haha they found a good way to pay their bills.

  • Hardly the most pay to win cash shop. The most expensive one though? Yep.

  • I don't know...As a customer, I'd rather pay $60 for an outfit, maybe a couple hairstyles and some hair color....not $60 for just 2 hairstyles.

Maybe it annoys me so much because I love changing it up - but with the current prices, I won't be buying nearly as much because I'm not getting as much back....so I can't really "change it up" unless I'm willing to spend a lot.

I don't know if that's good business judgment, because from MY position, they're losing money. (on digital items, no less, that cost nearly nothing to distribute)

  • tbh, a lot of these kinds of systems are designed for people who spend that much, it's when the monetization caters to them at the exclusion of everyone else that it harms the well being of the community health. A player should be able to have an enjoyable experience buying something whether they want to put in $10, $25 or $100.

So there is a very limited number of the playerbase who would literally drop thousands on something like that, a lot of free to play games gain the majority of their income from that, Pay-to-win or not. You want to support both types of players without ruining the experience for the ones who fall below that hyperextreme spending level.

imo equipment upgrading doesn't become the main way of progression until you hit the level cap, before then the equipment you're upgrading is going to get outmoded by more stuff down the line eventually. If someone who has that level of money is able to get to the level cap they're at least skilled enough that money isn't the only factor, so I'd be okay with them being able to purchase a faster progression when the fundamentals are still based in their ability as a player.

When you're talking about cosmetics, you generally want it to be something the player enjoys spending money on. They don't have any mechanical benefit but they can have value all the same. The prices should be set so the kinds of people who enjoy that kind of thing can spend money in a way that's positive to them, rather than feeling like a valuable part of the game is inaccessible because the company is balancing their prices for a small over-paying minority compared to the players that make up most of their community and the health of the game.

Again - when players enjoy spending money on the game, it turns from something they resent to something they want to do, and the game and the bottom line are better for it.

  • I Agree, a bit.

I just think selling upgrade stuffs (all the necessary itens for it) not cool.

The company need create a balance between the cash system and the grind system.

EP system or premium account system?!

A casher player may be not have pro skills like you said, but can buy a lot of vitamins and mats and have more opportunity to train.

  • Okay so like, after looking things over...

    $10 to customize eyes

    $5~8 to customize hair

    $15+ to customize hair color

    $25 change hair style

    $30~40 for a costume

Almost $80 bux just to customize your character. Huh.

  • Don't forget if new stuff comes out and you want it, you got to buy that too!

  • The intent is to provide a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different costume sets ;)

  • Meanwhile, I can't stay logged in long enough to finish a dungeon before the game crashes...

Hey at least you don't have to wait for your main to release, waking up every morning, realizing I'm just wasting my time leveling a character I won't ever use once he releases. ;(

  • I would like to throw my opinion on this 11 pages of probably the same.

This cash shop is completely ridiculous. 100% pay to win, WAY overpriced. 20$ for a costume is ridiculous. Every single item you can farm is on the shop.

This game is fun. Please let it stay FUN and not put paywalls in place. People will pay a moderate amount for cosmetics in a game they enjoy playing. This game has the gameplay. Please keep it fun. Energy is already ruining the game for me.

  • Prices are about standard as far as MMOs these days come. inflation is a bitch

What games are you playing? This prices are higher sub games and I have seen plenty of f2p that still have you decent options in the game while offering a fair price in the cashshop.

I know you dont have to buy the items but lets be real about something. Customization is part of the game and so far this game makes it clear that you will either grind your life away for a shirt or drop your paycheck in their cashshop. It seems like they looking at the short term instead of long term with these prices.

  • I would have to think Gameforge would have to make concessions soon. It seems kind of hard to see how there will be many people paying for things at all and I assume they would rather increase sales at a lower price point instead of dropping their investment on the ground.

  • 6.6k views and counting, this is MOST IMPORTANT topic to be discussed. I hope this is not permanent prices because if it is I'm be busy just with the energy I have and just play causal. But I don't want to do that, so please GameForge fix the SoulCash amount deception and this topic will die down......................................................................................................

  • Its completely pay to win...if you wanna keep that weapon you poured your soul into you will pay.

  • They are pretty expensive. I was expecting costumes like on Dragon Nest. $30 for the entire costume, and buying a hairstyle is really cheap. Instead, the hairstyles for here are the same price as a costume x.x I don't see how they value these things.

Also, a small issue, in JP the cash shop shows your character and what each piece of gear looks like on your char. Here, we don't get to preview any of the stuff we want to buy x.x

In All, I don't mind paying $30 for a high end-detailed costume, but I'm not paying the same amount for 1 hair style lol

  • Its always up to the player on why and which cosmetic to purchase.

I just wish they made it possible for the cosmetics to be freely tested first (like a limited costume for free for a few days).
