Different prices for different countries?

  • Different countries are getting different amounts of SoulCash upon purchase. I've figured that out because we randomly shared the cash shop prices in our guild.

    Proof:

    German SoulCash purchase:

    Portugese SoulCash purchase:

How is it fine to get different amounts of ingame money for the same currency (in this case Euro)?
I hope this will get fixed soon. It feels like a scam for the countries which get way less for the same amount of money.

  • To be fair the monthly wages are totally different in those countries.

But I think this is the first time I ever saw this

  • Hey everyone,

the prices shown to you depend on various factors such as country/game/price point/individual basis/payment partner etc. and this is why those may differ.

  • So what you're saying is... People in Canada have to pay almost double? Triple? To buy anything from cash shop, is that right? Poor Canadians. They're so nice but get fucked in return.

The prices are based on USD

It's not exactly a direct conversion either, must have something to do with the other factors.

  • Ah okay, that's a bit better then. Probs have to do with legal things.

  • Basically find a way to pay for soul cash with a different currency of your from NA or you get price gouged out that wahoo is what I'm hearing from that response...

  • Anyway the NA and EU have a differences in SoulCash amount ranging from 7000 to 17,000 which I find odd unless you are catering to EUs more than NA.................................................

  • Not to mention NA had such a huge population we crashed the server for how many hours last night, but hey let's just charge them double for soulcash

Funny feeling that is what they are planning......................................

  • It will cost them in the end.. there is no reasonable explanation for the massive price difference for amount of soulcash you get, and that response is laughable for a reason, look at how many games there are and the prices are never that far off

That is why I'm going to wait a year or two for the prices to go down if they come down at all........................;(;(

  • I'm actually very depressed about the debut of the cash shop. First and foremost, I can understand the differences in the countries and how their tax, currencies, as well as wages are. However, with this debut of the cash shop, to have basically every single country receive different amounts of SoulCash for 1 price tag is stupid. It's by no means a deal. This is just about as bad as trying to throttle internet speeds here in NA.

I actually liked SoulWorker. It's a good game and it still has a great future in store for it, but I'm actually ending the game here. I refuse to stare at this mockery called a cash shop. Massive slap in the face for those that sat patiently waiting for the games release. The absolute joke of a reply from the Community manager is throwing me way over the edge. This idiotic scam is intentional? What the hell?

You could have done so many different things instead of this garbage of a release. I fear that this game, once having 7 thousand players daily when the servers were working, and when they went down-people anxiously waiting for its return-having a massive drop in numbers. I, For one, and contributing to the loss of playerbase. This is absurd. I could play the game without having to spend a dime, but whats the point if you like the game so much and you want to benefit the growth of the game by donating a few dollars here and there to show your gratitude towards a well done video game? I can't believe that the discrepancy between the SoulCash acquired between countries is ridiculously out of wack.

I enjoyed the game while it lasted, and I'm certainly not the only one that is quitting this early. I'll be checking every now and then to see what's up with the current updates or if anything at all changed from the amount of SoulCash you can acquire for your country. I mean hell at this point it feels like I need to figure out a way to transfer my hard earned cash into a different currency from a country that gives you the biggest bang for your buck in order to purchase anything from this blasted cash shop. I'd rather not do that because there are fees for that kind of stuff.

Please Gameforge, you gotta do something about this. This is absurd and quite frankly you've already scared off plenty with this debut of a scam.

With that, I'm no longer a player of SoulWorker. I don't think you'll find me back on the forums for quite some time. I'll be checking news and updates every now and then to see if anything was changed to benefit the consumer. You guys at Gameforge are a service, and while you guys can cut off that service at any time, consumers shouldn't feel like it's necessity to spend double that of others just to get the same amount.
