I had an epiphany!Why are hairstyles $20?
It's because you're stuck with it forever unlike other games.
Once you buy that hairstyle....you can still freely switch to any other hairstyles you own.Normally a reasonable hairstyle price will be $10, but if you got bored of it or saw something better. You'd have to pay another $10 AND lose the older one you previously bought.
You're paying $20 for a hairstyle that will last forever....even if you buy a new one.
You're free to change between them.
$40 bucks for a costume though. I can't justify that.
Vindictus charges 10$ for hair, you can also pick what color you want it to be with no extra charge, lastly you keep each hair style you bought. So, 10$ is a good price for hair + color change (both in a bundle for this game) if we look at that example, also this example debunk your justification.
Didnt see the third post mentioning vindi already what evs

We're also buying hair colors that last forever and can be switched, and they're about 5$, where's the logic in that?
Also, haircuts also last forever and can be switched on japan yet they still sell for about 5$, again where's the logic?

I see where you're coming from. I just try not to compare other regions.
A real shirt here isn't going to be priced the same in another country.
I can agree on the 1:1 exchange someone mentioned earlier. We're not getting bang for our buck.

I think Gameforge has the right to charge any price. It's up to us to decide whether or not to buy into it. If they see good sales they will continue if not we may see change.
TLDR: If they listen to money they will listen to us.

tl;dr High prices on cosmetics can potentially lead to more investment into mmo's, bringing us more games to play and without any p2w bs.There's a pretty healthy forum community saying "Hey, these are expensive and we won't buy it" and then there's a small group of people who do buy it.
Can you really say the odds of beating a more traditional cashshop are good when only the small minority of players buy into it?
Yea I get what your saying, the vast majority in every game will usually say we want this cheaper. Usually followed by lower prices will bring more sales equaling more profit. Unfortunately that's just not the case. And the key to that lies in ingame trading. Why sell 1000 people an item for $10 each, when you can potentially sell that same item to 400 people for $20 each, multiple times for themselves and to sell to others for ingame currency.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm not at all against GF lowering the prices as it would clearly make people happy and that I'm all for. But I guess we won't know until GF makes a statement or the official release. -
It's a completely demand based model for GameForge since the costs of their "product" are static or essentially nonexistent because of its nature of being a digital product.
That being the case, I'm arguing that based on the current dissatisfaction on the forums and moderate scarcity of seeing these cosmetics ingame, that they have overshot the ideal price/quantity relationship by dipping too far into price.
Of course since data gathering is a pain, it's possible for the opposite to be true where they could charge more and still retain many buyers.
