It's against the ToS to use VPNs, which means you're gonna get the hammer eventually.
If GF is anything like Nexon, Neople, KoG, Aeria, or whatever other trashy NA publishers, they don't really care until someone points it out or reports it to them.

I need more waifu in my life.
i probably might throw down a bit if they reflect on the prices for the cash shop.
Just pray for price changes after the maintenance.
Hm? But I thought people have already been banned? That's what I've been told, not like I can find a reddit where people whine about bans for this game. Also, IP blocks are super easy to bypass! Do you understand what VPNs are so amazingly good at? Bypassing terms that you've agreed to by signing up for an account on SoulWorker! Wow, never saw that one coming.
No direct bans happened as far as I know, LATAM and SEA are still playing from steam without using a single VPN, btw.
In any case, I don't see the point in arguing about the importance or how serious publishers even apply their ToS or not, but if anyone really believes that they are going to be banned just because of VPN they are just being too naive. Just do it quietly and enjoy the game, there is no extra lag because of it and there are still active communities from ipblocked places anyway.
They have full rights to ban you if they find proof you have used a VPN, also that's quite alarming that SEA and LATAM players can play without a VPN. I hope they can teach me their underhanded tricks.
Happy Women's Day.
And sure they can, but would they? It's not like turning down paying customers, is in their interest. Officially they did all they could to enforce IP block, beyond that it's just win - win situation for both GameForge and Lion Gate, since they are getting extra income from places they didn't reach yet.

You could be right, I could be wrong. Us petty subjects to the throne will never understand our lords.
Also, thank you, but I had no idea Women's Day existed until I googled it!
I live in NA so I can play the game. However, I often forget or rather would never want to turn off my vpn. I only do so if a game doesn't let me log in. I haven't tried it on soul worker yet though due to technical issues with my vpn but I will eventually. I've never been banned because of this.
my account just got banned for using a vpn, just putting it out there. im from sea and cant access the game so i used a vpn to login, and i was eventually met with a ban. this accounts probably gonna get deleted because of me admitting it as well. they even blocked access to support from my main. im completely aware i violated tos, but i wasnt causing any harm to the devs or the players. it just feels really bad when you like the game and get banned out of the blue because youre ip blocked from the game and lose all your progression. needless to say, i wont be endorsing or playing this game ever again although i really loved the feel and the gameplay. cheers!

Let's be honest here, how many games have you ever seen that banned people for using VPNs?
0.
No publisher is going to ban possibly paying customers from their games, most publishing companies certainly don't want IP blocks at all as more costumers = more money. I've seen a lot of people say this kind of thing here, but after the initial ip block unless you are hacking or using external programs you are not going to get banned, this kind of action against VPN never happens although people love to preach the ToS card.
Furthermore in a game where you don't need VPN at all besides to login in the launcher or open the cash shop, there might as well not be a ip block considering how effortless it is to bypass it. (And it was the same in JP when they had ipblock so chances of this changing here are pretty low)
Turns out you were wrong.
Hello!
Sorry, but... I'm sure you all know about this thing here. I think the information about the current situation is quite clear. If your country is not on the white list > you cannot play. I'm sorry again, but we can not tolerate such threads anymore.
Discussing bans here is also not allowed. Same goes for playing with VPN - this is a violation of ours T&C.
