    for start i have to clear things out

    you are literally compressing ALL the files and upload it ????

    LITERALLY!!! :/

    you are just re-uploading the dataXX.v every time!!


    is that because the beta ? no it's just files :/

    you can just pack every folder alone and make the exe read those files if you still didn't make a real patching way!

    and than upload only the files you did change :/


    WHY!!!!

    for some that's doesn't matter

    but for me and a lot of people have a limited internet :/

    It's like they apply patches on a new and cleared "game" instead of the old one, so it make you download the game again, to have also the bugs fixed and the game to not have any problems. That's what I believe they do. :/

    I can see that being a problem for plebeian internet users, i hope for your sake its just the beta..
    Sometimes games like to update all the files even if no changes were made just for security reasons though.

    I'm.. not sure what everyone's talking about here I JUST downloaded the patch and it was only 107MB Are you perhaps confusing a file recheck with the game?

    Cause.. I'm only seeing 107mb total DL size for the patch O_o

    I'm downloading via steam and it's 2.7gb since the first maintenance

    Ahh that's why I'm using the standalone client.

    I wonder if steam's version is doing a file recheck of the game everytime it downloads.

    nope, verifying the game files on steam would reset all the game setting

    and this game does not use steam cloud so there if it did reset the game setting it would auto edit it after the update



    i hope they do add link to steam option soon so i can move from steam to the stand alone client but as i did read it wont be soon

    I wouldn't mind them linking the accounts, I'd prefer to play through steam but when the game first launched steam had an issue iwth the game so I started playing on the standalone and now I'm stuck with it account wise lol :P

    Oh please don't be so rude. Most of users live in countrys with poor ISP's connections.


    But in any case, they said maintenance instead of "update". It feels strange when you're mindled prepared to just log in after the maintenance. Not downloading a huge file of 2.0 ++ GB's.?(

    The problem is the game is designed to load the assets from a bunch of archives, and they've made a patcher that can download and inject any new files into said archives, but they've decided not to have a patcher for steam users and so steam has to re-download any archieve that has been modfiied.


    Personally i am fine with this, a lot of users might also prefer the convenience that steam automatically downloads updates so the game is always patched and ready.


    Anything that can be done about it would take an excessive amount of time to make or is a dirty fix like including a patcher.

    I don't mind a big download NORMALLY.
    Though I have recently moved to a different state.
    The ISP's here are really limited, because of how isolated I am.
    Does suck when your download speed is abysmal.
    12 hr's for an update ;(
