Posting here to wonder if anyone else had their mapped key bindings reset after the Maintenance. If it does turn out that this happens to many players after large updates, it would be a nice QoL change if this was fixed. Not immediately as pressing as other issues.

It happend, but it isn't a big deal. Big deal is, that when i try to rebind "Target" hotkey, game crash (tried 2 times)
Edit: Show UI key cause crash too...(there are maybe more keys, but i don't want to try them all)

steamapps\common\SoulWorker\UserData
For some reason they made it use a new filename with a localization tag on it, like "_EN"
Just delete the new file and rename your old one to it.
-
Huh...odd how that worked, but yes deleting the User_#####_Option_EN.ini makes the old User_#####_Option.ini work again.
As an info, just deleting the _EN will make your settings be applied only once, as the game then creates another _EN, so it's best that you make a copy of it and replacing _EN with a copy of your current User_#####_Option.ini.

Not only the hotkeys reset, but also i chose other colors for chat in settings... seems like they also reset.
-
As a default though, that's unfortunately a normal thing to happen when there's an update on the UserData files..at least it was for JP & KR SW.
I hope Gameforge provides some kind of caution/note that the UserData or basically any UI and hotkey customization done resets after maintenance.
They only provide "what to fix" in maintenance, but not "what were fixed"...buuut that's another topic. -
"_EN" must mean they plan on using separate keybinds for possibly... different servers? I have no clue.

Which I think could be a nice implementation of choice, should people be playing on different servers. '3'
Though at the moment, I think what happens is that the one w/o _EN gets superseded by _EN even though one plays in [NA].
...That, or maybe it refers to the language being English. -
Happened to me. Didn't realize it until I was knee deep in Manic and I couldn't use my big hp recovery items.
A sad time was had that mission. -

I've noticed this too. Sadly this little bug completely wipes the controller side of things as well, along with any keyboard hotkey changes. ><
And each time you shut the game down, it just wipes it all again. Combine that with the constant crashes I have been having in groups and the NA server kicking you out every so often...
Well, just hope it get looked at soon.

What bug?
The settings are kept in a new file like I stated earlier, just copy your file over to the new one that was made; keep both.
If you're still getting them reset.. then check if it's read only or not, and toggle it to see if it keeps it then.

Whoops! Had not noticed you can just swap the file names. I needs to reads farther up next time ^_^;;

I've noticed the game seems to crash after you change some number of keybinds, not necessarily a particular one. Change one, save, change one, save, so when it crashes you can pick up from where it crashed.

Thank you for tip:)
is it exactly, what you said
