Things You Wish You Knew

  • Thought it'd be helpful to direct anyone new to the game for important things and information that can make life much easier.

I'm sure there's lots everyone wants to say, so I'll try to grab any suggestions you guys come up with.

    • Energy resets to 200 + (1/2 previous day) at midnight pst/3am est/9am cet
    • There is a weekly reset on Monday that sets everyone to 200 energy
    • Skill points can only be reversed with event/cashshop items, be careful what you invest in
    • Gear can be repaired at Xivus for a fee(bottom left corner of his shop screen)
    • Get used to using medqubes! There's an achievement for using thousands of consumables.
    • Be sure to set your keybinds to something comfortable. You can also enable "Dodge by double-tapping directional keys", but this may be very stamina intensive
    • Unique gear which is far superior to most drops can be bought cheaply from the market
    • The most important stat on gear may possibly be the "additional exp %" due to how limited exp gain is, try and aim for this
    • Districts consume half the listed FP on entry, and the rest when the boss is killed
    • Possibly the most efficient way to farm exp is going into a Manic mission with (Exp+) or (FP reduced), then dying at the boss
    • There's a +10% exp title for using a total of 300k Dzenai for repairs
    • Akasha cards must first be unregistered when adding exp or upgrading them
    • Do all your sidequests! Exp is important! Do repeat quests while they're still relevant at your level
    • Join/create a guild! Leveling is alot easier when you have people to suffer with you.
    • District 6 is an open PVP zone, so don't be surprised if you get attacked when taking the highway. You can take a helicopter for a small fee to skip the risk
    • Your end ranking(S+,S,A,B,C,D,F) [100%,70%,50%,~,~,~,~] affects how much exp you get, and this often means partying up is less exp if you cannot rank well (Ranks will effect clear exp, rate is uncertain for our version)
    • To facilitate a faster run, its a common tactic to run all the way to the next room entrance to spawn all the enemies, then wipe them all out in one go
    • Ground aoes/puddles cannot be dodged by jumping, you need to get out of there!
    • An aerial dodge can be executed to reset your combat state, allowing more aerial attacks(also has i-frames like a ground dodge)
    • You can get up without using stamina by pressing spacebar
    • Pressing spacebar in midair makes you fall faster
    • You can respond to whispers with Shift+R
  • Probably a non-issue for most, but i discovered you get this really good first player bonus gift box, but only on the very first char you create. So if you were like me, and thought the EN server was the NA option, and later discovered it wasnt, well your very helpful starter kit is on a different character.

and i dont have proof of this, but the different servers are probably at different locations so ping would come into play. Course i was also told that from NA playing on the JP servers, that the ping was a non-issue so theres that.

If you did not redeem the beginer bonus.. you can get it transferred to the character you want it to be on... i am still in the process of it....

Ya.... this one I have not seen to be true. whether S+ S or A I have gotten all the same amount of ending XP from a dungeon. The only thing that will change the XP is whether its an ep 1 2 3 of 4 and easy hard or manic with manic 4 being the highest amount of xp. You can see at the end the total amount of XP you got after killing the boss on the ending screen where it ranks you. Unless it counts from A and up as 100% and only limits you from B down... as i have never gotten below an A ranking on any mission solo or grouped.

Yes but would this work if the character you wanted it transfered to happens to be on a different server?

I ask because im pending on just sticking with EN server. i dont know if theres any physical differences between what server you choose. would not surprise me if the game is at one location, and the servers are just divided up by name only.

  • I chose the EN server at first cause NA was not available when i first started thinking it was the english speaking server... i was wrong and yes they are supposed to be transferring it to my NA character the ticket response time used to be once every 24 hours but it has drastically gone up so.. this process is taking rather longer than i would have liked... but at least it is happening.

  • I see...kind of wish information like this was made more well...apparent. From the staff, i mean.

    • Join/create a leveled up guild! You can activate an exp bonus

The exp bonus is for guild exp, not for personal exp. Just thought I'd point that out ^ ^

I got this info from someone else and figured it made sense. I haven't really checked my own exp for measuring it either. Its from the exp guides in the guides section if I remember.

Why the suggestions tag and not general tag :/ suggestions is for feedback stuff

I uh...hmm. Could have sworn I marked it as Discussion. Maybe a mod changed it? Guess I'll switch it.

Where are the servers located & how many we will have?
We have 7 servers: Amaryllis (ES), Tenebris (NA), Candus (EN), Lakashin (DE), Rucco (FR), Uriel (IT) and Grace (PL). Regarding the location of the servers, we cannot provide you the exact location, but only inform you that the European servers are located in Central Europe and the North American server is East coast located.

So no, there is a physical difference between the servers, at least between the NA-Server and the rest. That's probably also the reason GF has that many problems with that particular server.

As for Tipps: Save your weapon-upgrade chips. They're not that easy to come by and upgrading past +6 below Level 55 isn't worth the effort. Even going past +5 is debatable.

I would suggest removing that one cause not all guides are 100% accurate or sometimes follow different release versions that do not apply here. Cause I have been watching and i have not seen a difference between A and S+ rank in terms of total xp earned. Only party size and episode # change that value.

  • They did make a comment remarking on issues with the beginner item bonus. I am to lazy to go find it. I would suggest sending in a ticket it will take a while but you may get lucky.

  • Too late for me. as i already opened the box. and yeah, you'd have to go "find" it . probably something to get adressed later, but having to search for things like issues being fixed and patch notes that dont show up on this here website is kind of a pain. I wouldnt be shocked if its on facebook or twitter, but you have your own website... should use it.

  • The thing I wish I knew was how the story alone won't let you level up as you progress even when you do all sidequests. You require quite the grind to level up just so you can get one lousy level only to later repeat the same process, meaning, you waste so much time. Being in the 40s is a nightmare. On the bright side, I love fighting Ravan, the boss of Area 9 Episode 4, manic difficulty of course. It is a blast to fight him, he's challenging and it feels so satisfying to kill him. His first phase is squishy but hits unbelievably hard. His second phase is hella fun to fight. I've enjoyed humanoid bosses the most, same goes for the ep4 Flamebreaker boss.

  • Most repeat quests that you get are the Manic/Hard repeat quests, which aren't worth actually completing if you are going for most EXP for how much Energy you are using. Dying at the boss has always given me more than actually completing the dungeon and finishing the repeat quest.

  • Id say around 53 you should atleast do the highest repeatable quest. I think they're worth it. Especially the one in arc ship, where you want to finish the dungeon anyway, since it drops useful jewelry

    LMAO:sleeping:

  • Oh well yea sure at that point you probably want to do it for blueprints and what not in Manic mode but prior to that, it isn't worth doing it. Unless you REALLY want that crafting material they usually give you one of.
