Gameforge vs JP server [UPDATED 2018.3.11]

    Hello!


    I first started to play this game here on EN server at the time of OBT start. After premium shop release I got somehow disappointed and gone to try playing on JP server.

    And here is my summary of JP server vs here.

    Plese, consider this topic as created for INFO purposes and all of the conclusions are IMHO.


    1. On JP server it's easier to level up. I just followed the quests and I'm already in the second town without any additional runs & have 15 lvl. When I played here, I made at less 4x Maniac pre-last section & 8x Maniac Best Showtime to leave the first town with 15 lvl.

    2. On JP server the drop rates are better. This true for crafting material and the gear too. Also, bonus reward after instance which you unlocks with the key comes in more quantity.

    3. On JP server you need 9x less crafting materials for crafting fashion (maybe another stuff too, haven't checked yet).

    4. On JP server login bonus table is MUCH-MUCH better.

    vs JP:

    5. On JP server you have 3 resurrections per day for free.

    6. On JP server you can store up to bonus 600 energy (here is 400). (not confirmed yet)

    7. On JP server premium shop prices in near 8x less. (Gameforge WTF?). Also, the shop is built-in with preview, not just web-page.

    8. There are no XP\Money books and so on in the premium shop on JP server.

    9. Login bonus counts separately for every character on JP server.


    The game version on JP is more up to date, but this isn't really a thing to mention here at the OBT phase.


    The thing that is worse on JP is ping (it depends on your connection, but it can be unplayable for you).

    As mentioned by someone, main chat language is JP, so this is also a "-" for some of us.


    If you liked the game and don't like GF's approach, I recommend you to try playing to JP server.


    UPDATE 2018.3.11:

    Today I played on GF servers again.

    1. GF increased drop for healing kits (and looks like by a lot).

    2. At the moment online is WAY better on GF servers (can't say about endgame). You can sell & buy gear, AH for low-level stuff is pretty active as everyone is leveling.

    3. You should be fortunate to find a player using auto team while leveling on JP.

    4. Overall, GF EN server feels funnier to play because of many active players currently.

    6. Ping, for me it doesn't really matter, caught a lag on JP server only a few times, but it entirely personal and depends on your location & ISP.



    TL;DR: GF, please take some inspiration in JP server and make our experience better as your players, thanks.

    1. I don't mind a little grind to level up, makes it more fun.

    2. I had no problem with my drop rates and already can make a decent amount of outfits, just means more grinding and it isn't game breaking or p2w.

    3. (your point is kinda the same as your 2nd point)

    4. I don't care that much about the login bonus neither should you because its not that big of a deal.

    5. 3 resurrections would be good and there is already threads on it so they might add it in a feature update.

    6. I already got around 5 extra 100 energy things, 200 energy already takes up a full day of my time anyways so its not that big of an issue for me. (there is another thread about this too)

    7. The premium shop prices are standard for this type of game, trust me I've played a lot of mmorpgs.

    This is my opinion on your post and I think its kind of childish to say everyone move to japan servers.

    This post was made just to let ppl know. Also, I don't say that everyone must move. It's just my recommendation that there is a better place to play IMHO.

    But, OP, the question is, how many of the non-JP players can actually speak JP? Fortunately, this game doesn't really require strategy to kill bosses or coordination like BnS, WoW, etc. so you can go a long time, or forever, without saying a single word to another human being. But the point of MMORPGs is the social part, the human interaction, without which there's no point.

    I can't be sure for 100% atm, but I think there is present some English speaking guilds.

    But yeah, this is also '-' of playing on JP server.

    Except for cosmetics. >.> $20 for a hairstyle is way overboard.


    Also, Login rewards are actually very important, especially to f2p - seeing as how they currently the only way to get mega+ Brooches outside of buying with real money.

    Yeah theres been games in the past though like black desert online that has 40ish dollars for some outfits alone, and not to mention its a buy to pay game. And yeah the point Nyx made earlier is that this is based off the Korean version not the japan version, so yes some things will be a little different. Mainly just saying prices like to inflate in NA/EN a lot sometimes so we shouldn't be toooooo surprised lol.

    I was talking about the countless complaints thread. You have some good point, but if we get changes they are probably based on KR server

    I think this is my que to leave this pointless "suggestion" and never view it again lol.

    All I can say is I advice making any judgments until the beta is over and give real suggestions instead of saying that o/
