For a game recently released I must admit..

  • So this man.. made a thread ranting about prices for a FREE dungeon style game.

    LOL

Yes I did, just because the game is "Free" doesn't mean I can't complain about the disgusting store prices. Justifying the current prices is sad & you will lead this game to failure.

  • Not new to anything lol. I've played around a thousand games or at least getting close to that point at least.

Your reply is very opinion based, since as I said before I find this game fun and yes it does have potential.

  • I'm going to kick your ass. SoulWorker is way more fun that Kritika. I was even in the closed beta for it.

  • you're paying to keep the game alive too

Are you saying it isn't possible to support the game without it feeling like a blatant cash-grab?

I pay in other games for a hair and to support the company, for much much less. They get my money, I get my hair. Win-win.

But really though, if you weebs don't start dishing it out a little, we might not have nice mmos in the future for NA. New releases are already dying down.

Probably because most MMOs that get published in the west are being done by god-awful companies like PWI, Nexon, Aeria, NCSoft, etc. that show no commitment to running the game for more than 2 years and then just let it rot after milking the stupid whales as much as they can before they too end up leaving.

    Fuck 'em all

  • I'm going to keep this sweet and short. Everyone knows you can buy the hair stuff from market without paying money right? Everyone acts like this is this huge thing were it's unfair to people without money or can't buy the big stuff, but this game has a lot of equal opportunity for f2p and people who pay.

Yeah, you're completely right. It's not like outfits/hairs on the market are priced at 10,000,000 - 20,000,000 +

At least you can buy a premium items from market. 20mil isn't even that much, if people actually spent more time playing the game and figuring out how to do things than complaining you might actually get somewhere.

  • Whatever floats your boat buddy. I'm talking about the Cash Shop not the market.

But you go ahead and justify these cute prices, let this game burn like every other game that has went this way.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. If you don't want to pay don't it's simple. The prices may be high, but at least you can get most of the stuff without paying real cash.

And I've played ten thousand over the last 30 years.

    It doesn't matter.

Kritika had potential. Look at that game now; ruined by EME because of their incessant want to "make our own version of Kritika", and most of the playerbase left months before any of the content we expected on launch got added.

Regardless, I gave you a suggestion for a much better designed game that has the same style of gameplay as this one. You clearly haven't tried it, so go try it. Oh, and it doesn't have a play-limiting "energy" system either.

I'm going to kick your ass. SoulWorker is way more fun that Kritika. I was even in the closed beta for it.

This game is identical to Kritika.

Same exact instance based dungeons with the same difficulty settings and rankings. Same exact crafting system. Same exact item salvaging system. Same exact enhancing system. Same exact auction house (minus real money currency). Similar costume stat system. Same "run a dungeon multiple times over for quests and to level".

It is literally a carbon copy in every single way except these akasha cards. Hell, it's even extremely dated with performance issues too!

Playing SoulWorker astounded me at how similar the games were, especially when I went to gear up, craft and enhance. Higher rarity gear is ridiculously better then lower rarity, and if you enhance it a few times it outclasses gear for 10-20 levels, and crafting/enhancing gear has absurd costs to the point your first character can barely even do it. Exactly, the, same, systems.

I don't know if Closers is the same because I'm not touching another EME game again, but if it is, feel free to let me know.

  • As far as crafting and enhancing goes it's different on Closers. You're changing gear more frequently even if you enhance too. Except endgame ofc. Doesn't cost much to upgrade either.

Do you start making 1m per dungeon run at level 50+ to say that "20m isn't that much" or are you just saying things without thinking or to just be an annoyance?

    Maybe it's because I'm only level 41 but 20m is a fuckton.

  • This is a dungeon crawler, having instanced dungeons is part of the genre, invalid. Every dungeon crawler will have around 2-3 difficulty ranks. I've never touched crafting in Kritika, so you might be right! Isn't every auction house basically the same? "Run a dungeon multiple times over for quests and to level" so like every single mmo out there right now? Hello???? Is Elsword a carbon copy of Kritika now? Is Closers a carbon copy of Kritika now? Is TERA a carbon copy of Kritika now? Oh, but that might be going too far! Performance issues? I found Kritika a lot clunkier, but that could be to my own opinion! Gear rarity, have you every played anything else other than Kritika? This is the same trend that happens in any MMO that has a rarity system with multiple rarities at the same level, there are even refined status and tags that make the weapons more dynamic, I think it's time you got used to it. Most Korean mmos have ridiculous RNG systems for their enhancing systems, next please.

You're so opinionated towards Kritika, which was released in 2017 and I can't even find the announcement date, compared to something like SoulWorker which has been out far longer (announced 2013, released 2015)!

Although he is opinionated, Kritika in Korea stepped into Open Beta on February 2013. I don't remember when it was released, but I was following that game for a while too.

Vindictus is just as or more P2W than this game, and it's a lot more similar to monster hunter than it is Soul Worker.
And, PvE wise, yeah. Vindictus is balls to the walls crazy. I couldn't really get into it because of how p2w it was, tho.
That, and dead servers on NA, rip.

Both this game and Kritika are a straight up near copy of Dragon Nest (released in 2010 korea), but have something different to it. Not exact carbon copies, but damn close.
As it stands, from my standpoint, Kritika is the worst of the 3 since it has literally no end game and in Korea it's starting to die because of said no end game.
It's an arcade action game, so it's to be expected. It's not a game you're supposed to play 24/7, unlike Dragon Nest and maybe SoulWorker. Haven't gotten to end game so far, but I've been enjoying this game a lot more than Kritika, which had a basically non existent dodge (Why, exactly...?)

Thanks for the information! I honestly couldn't find it, I never did follow Kritika's development but I did follow SoulWorker's.

  • You can get 10mil per some items 55 :|

Even then, stuff from Steel Graves can sell for a nice amount too. Shoulder and Chest piece still sell for 1.5m on mk2, and the rest except weapons sell from 500 - 750k. It's a decent amount. Illusion metal is 12k per, which is a lot of money if you keep selling it.

Get your mk3 set first tho, you wont regret it, because once GC comes around, you'll be ready and you'd be using 55 BP set anyways instead of MK3 or Light Raid set.

But the BP set can easily sell for 5m per BP unless it's erwin, pretty much. Even more, Lilly's helmet BP costs like 8m because it barely drops for some reason.

  • Just FYI, once you're about 55 grinding dungeons for drops and blueprints, steel graves for drops and blueprints, you don't always get the blueprint for your character, so you end up making more than a million a day just on selling items not for your character alone, not to mention DZ drop from dungeons by themselves I make around 1~1.5mil a day. Although that is with using mats and vitamins, maybe it's somewhere around 500k~1mil for someone who doesn't.

Anyways my point is, grinding DZ isn't supposed to be easy either. It might take you what, a week or two of farming DZ at 55 (or less if you're lucky with drops), to get the 20mil+ cash shop item you want, but it's possible.

I got around 20m in just 3 days so far, as an example. Let's just say I was very lucky with steel graves drops. It's definitely possible to make money, 20m+ in a week or even less.

Yep pretty much. If someone wants to make money fast you just use all your entries on the level 5 stage of Steel Graves (or 10 if you're sure you can farm it consistently without dying), to get blueprints to sell. Even more so if you have alts.
