For a game recently released I must admit..

  • These Cash Shop prices DEAR GOD. Me & my Girlfriend recently gotten into the game and found the game outstandingly fun.. Was going to surprise her with a cute hair she wanted until we both realized the hair ALONE is $20+?? The sad thing is, I see some people saying this is "Fair" prices lol? While I do make good cash at my job, I refuse to spend $20 on a virtual hair piece. This is coming from a guy who's played MMO's for 10 years+.

This is worse then Fiesta Online once Gamigo took over. Prices went from decently priced to $20 per item.. And that game started to die out very quickly due to that alone.

While I know Gameforge usually won't listen to advice since they love to milk the whales who would pay $50 for a hair piece if they had too, they seriously need to lower these damn prices if they want the game to have a big audience. More people buy = More cash in the end and a more popular game.. Win- Win. High prices - Lower people = Lose-Lose.

You can tell me to quit over these prices.. But all you're doing is killing the game more & more since I can't be the only one face palming at these disgusting prices...

BTW: For the people saying the prices are "Fair" and they need to get money to support the game some how.. It's not supporting the game running half/loyal population off.

    All I'm going to say.

  • With every new thread complaining about cash shop prices without just posting in another one of the 100 threads, I become stronger.

You should read this response from the Vice President of Customer Service & HR

So i have two questions: Are cash shop prices and top up rate FINAL?

In an online game nothing is ever final. There might be changes, if and what is not yet decided. But as I said, we are monitoring it closely.

140.00 CAD for 13k of it while others have it at amounts of at least 24k or 30k. I was hoping of a compromise between at 20k or 23k in Soul Cash please

I'll check. We do not change our exchange rates that often (our payment works for all our games), might be that the rate is based on a very old Canadian Dollar / Euro exchange rate

And to be fully clear, the game is not release it is in open beta. Not like it actually matters, but it should help clear some fog.

  • Think the hair price is the most important thing in the game right now according to complaints on the forum. Heck every 2nd thread has at least 1 mention of it. Such tragedy

    Is that heresy I see?

  • Everybody wants these haircuts xDD :whistling:

To be completely honest, I do love to dress my characters up in ANY game I play..

(Considering I worked at clothing stores in the past) I do enjoy dressing up, no matter if it's real life or online lol. (Not paying at this price rate though..)

  • I disagree with the point 100%.

You can buy outfits and haircuts, hair color, etc on marketplace. I sniped an elegant cut for 3m for my Stella. Seeing how I have excess DZ and the game has only been out for like a week, I wouldn't say that it's too hard to buy one without spending real money.

But yes ok, you're talking about spending real money on the premium shop. Yes, I think 20 dollars for a haircut is high, normally they go for like 10 bucks in other MMOs. But you're not JUST paying for a piece of virtual hair, you're paying to keep the game alive too. If I didn't have excess DZ or it wasn't available in the marketplace, I would gladly pay for it. I don't consider Soulworker to be too popular. It's getting harder to find parties already and I fear that it won't last long.

If you don't feel like supporting the game because the price for a cosmetic somehow offends you, you can always buy it with in game currency. If the f2p player-base is really as "loyal" as you say, grinding enough DZ shouldn't be an issue.

But really though, if you weebs don't start dishing it out a little, we might not have nice mmos in the future for NA. New releases are already dying down.

  • You have to keep in mind that you are playing for free, some have already 100+ hours of entertainment.

Spending 20€/$ once for your main character doesnt seem to be that much compared to what you get back.

Its still alot of money but its also just a hairstyle.

There are many hairstyles in the auction relatively cheap on Candus, theres your 2nd option to obtain them.

Ive got 3 hairstyles for each of my characters and you could do that too easily.

  • and found the game outstandingly fun..

You two new to online gaming? Plenty of games are much better than this.

If you want a recommendation of a similar dungeon running game, play Vindictus. It has the best combat system of any MMORPG to date (and the hair prices are 1/4 the cost).

Kritika is better as well, and this game is essentially a clone of it.

Don't know what Gameforge is smoking with their pricing, but that's just one of the many issues SoulWorker NA has right now.

Invalid argument. Lets take Warframe for exemple.

Very simmilar game, where you grind for the grind, it's instanced and follow the same concept as SW.

Yet, their prices are not astronimacly high. A delux skin for a frame that completly alters the appearence costs like 10$. Not to mention you can buy it from other players (Just like sw).

So for 20$ i will have 2 badass deluxe skins, while in SW i will have a ... haircut?
