Cut Scene Skip Option

  • "Lets just get to the point and get this over with"<<< When I repeat battles, I have to go through those annoying cut scene before a boss appears that I've already seen before. These repeated cut scenes drag and one time is enough, I don't want to see it every single time I enter a dungeon and I'm only there for the exp or certain materials.


    Most games have a skip option for cut scenes; It is definitely needed here, I believe.

  • I think it's short enough to deal with it and the game would look really bland without it. Just imagine the boss appearing like a mob and nothing more.

  • It might be a good thing that its there though.

    Its short, lasts like 2-3 seconds, and lets all players that have slower PC's load in and start the battle with boss at the same time as the ones that load it in an instant

    Is that heresy I see?

    I'm baffled as to why we can't skip boss introduction cutscenes.


    Sure, let us be forced to watch it the first time through. After that, we don't need to have our time wasted watching it over and over and over again while we're farming the dungeon. (Just look at Riven for the worst example; 2 cutscenes)


    To make matters worse, buffs and the dungeon timer are NOT PAUSED during the cutscenes. This wastes our buffs (both character and item) and hurts our dungeon speedrunning time (mainly for sub 3 minute achievement).


    Another problem is the the ending ranking (and boss kill) 'cutscene'. This goes over mainquest voice dialogue which runs in the background.. which is talking in a language we can't understand, so we miss what's being said until we can read the text in the chatbox. This even pops up during the text chat with an NPC in the dungeon for quest progression, making you miss the closing message of the NPC dialogue.


    Just overall bad design.

    many mmos have a simple everyone has to press Esc to skip boss cutscene to load straight in!

  • .... Some people just whine to much... Cut scenes aren't even that long... so you spend a few seconds watching it... how about stop acting like entitled children and just play the game .-. (not trying to be rude just saying)

    I don't care about boss cutscene, I like them. What is pissing me of is that the mainquest voice dialogue continue during ending ranking cutscene, that's why I came here to support the idea of DAOWAce.
