Well my definition of a broken economy is when the prices for gold drop so fast in only a few days. I understand some fluctuation in the prices, but a whole $1.25 in that short amount of time? Nawh honey

A broken economy is when goods cost an insane amount of money. Also know as hyper inflation. Is this the case? I haven't seen it yet. It really doesn't matter what some gold sellers do. It just means they found a way to get a lot of it. However before some actually breaks the rules and uses this money, it's worth nothing and as such does not effect the economy.
What does however effect a economy is rumors, if people start believing them and begin to charge higher prices.
Bruh no one is basing their market prices off bot money. You easily make 100-200k per run in ruin fortress and raids at 55. Cool costumes, vip, etc costs around 15 to 20 mil? 2 mil a day, 10 days of saving for the most expensive shit in the game? Not even counting money off drops and playing the market.
Gold farmers dont want your 1.25, they want your credit card info so they can charge you hundreds of dollars and claim you bought in game goods from them. You can't prove you DIDN'T cause frankly credit card companies don't care, you gave them your card info and consented to their terms without an official agreement. Gameforge isn't going to help cause you bought from bots against the TOS.
Trust me, no one smart buys from bots, and they sure as hell don't run the economy.

[Edit] Quality: Link Removed There's a legit website you can buy Dzenai off of, not all of them are fake or used to steal information.
Our enconomy is pretty stable at the moment.
It's just the cash shop prices that need to be lowered. (I'm looking at you hair.)

Most people don't play mmo's to sell the currency...most people play mmo's to have something to relax to after work/school and they find fun. The fact that you would even say something like that and mention that they're legit sites is already kind of shady. Now if you meant that most people play mmo's to sell the cash shop currency, as in people use money to buy soul cash and sell the soul cash items then sure I can some what you say but even then, most people don't even do that.
Basically as mentioned already in this thread, the price of "these sites" doesn't dictate how good or bad an economy, and quite honestly if they consider the economy "bad" then that is a good thing for normal players because that might mean that bots might not want to bother with this game, which would mean we would stop seeing them or at least might reduce the amount of bots.
The economy is not bad making millions at my 30's levels. You just have to know how to use the market.

If you don't know that there are legit sites for selling MMO currency on you must be living under a rock, so does that mean everyone that knows about these sites and decides to mention them are shady? Lmao, that was rhetorical btw.

If we're really going to judge a game by their goldbot seller standards, I'm pretty sure you've disqualified everything except the most under the rock games.

I'm gonna break this down using your own post.
We've recently found this game and it's fantastic and I understand that this is still open beta, but has there been any word on fixing up the economy?
I didn't realize there's a problem with the economy.
In my honest opinion, I think they should do a wipe for release whenever it's planned to come out. It'll give everyone a fair chance to start the game on a set date. I think doing a wipe would also improve the economy if you do happen to make changes in it before the release.
I don't quite follow you. What does a wipe accomplish? How does it improve the economy? There are a couple of issues with this:
1. The game has only been playable for a month, and you to claim the economy needs improving. Assuming even that a wipe was done tomorrow, come mid April the economy is back to being borked. We're back to square one.
2. Everyone needs a chance to start the game on a set date? What about the players who find the game and start 4 months after the reset? Don't they deserve a chance to start the game on a set date too? Though it would be mighty convenient for yourself at least, since you're here now.
Some people only play these games for the grind and good economy, I hate seeing these websites where people are spending $2.50 for $5 million in-game while me, my friends and many other people are just here wanting to grind that money out and earn our items. There isn't much pleasure in grinding and earning our money when you can literally spend a small bit of cash for it, there wouldn't be any point in anyone playing the game if there's nothing unreachable.
You start off referring to good economy and grind (?), and then refer to gold buying, which has no discernable effect on market prices. For someone to buy that 5 mil dzenai for $2.50, someone had to put in the exact same time and effort to grind as an honest player who gathered 5 mil legitimately. There is no additional currency being generated artificially to lead to abnormal inflation. All it means is people are buying happiness. This story isn't new.
I don't see why people buying dzenai affects your enjoyment. It does not restrict your ability to grind and earn your money the honest way. Yes the option is always there to "spend a small bit of cash for it", but this seems a bit contrasting to me; you find satisfaction in being rewarded for your hard work and effort, so why not ignore the dzenai sellers and work for it? No dzenai seller is putting a gun to your head, forcing you to buy.
If there's nothing unreachable that's EXACTLY the kind of game I want to play. I want to be able to get every single thing through hard work and effort that a whale can get through their Wallet Throw attack. It doesn't matter how many roads there are to get to my goal; what matters is what road I choose to take.
As I mentioned before, Runescape is an alternative game that is very grindy and has one of the best if not the best economy in an MMO. Maybe create a system that can maintain this games economy like they maintain theirs, and me plus many others who agree with me would actually start having more hope in this games future.
Anyhow, I just think they should focus on fixing the economy and stuff similar to that instead of doing any additions or events/contests so the game is actually worth playing.
Runescape is a Jagex game, a developer that takes a very keen interest in regulating and making market prices work similar to real economies, because God knows their game isn't holding player attention through its cutting edge graphics and action combat. LionGames has better things to do, like make money off cute costumes and add actual endgame content to keep their game growing.
With all due respect, I think you and the many others who agree with you are still part of a minority that believe this game's future is shot because of its economy of all things. You can have a great, wonderful, amazing economy, but your game is gonna REALLY die if no one plays because you don't have interesting events and a stream of fresh content.

Thank you so much for going into detail with everything. I have been watching this thread for a while now and couldn't find the time to break it down as well as you did. I appreciate the time you took to reply to this, and hopefully it clears up some confusion about what this economy is, and where it is at in it's current state. aka Completely fine.
Can we stop discussing something that is not allowed?

If people buy Dzenai, a virtual article, they get banned. I don't know how they handle it, but I assume if they catch the person fast it probably gets deleted. There might be even a alarm system when large amounts of money are traded. It would affect the economy if everybody does it. Is this the case? I don't think so.
