Which server do you plan to play on?

    Hopefully this game can just strive in the long run. Hope GF makes good decisions

    A merge is not necessarily positive in every aspect.
    If you are one of the few last players on a national server you have to expect to know nobody on the other server. That way you might find no guild which causes you to stuck in progression. It's not unlikely for MMO's to have pretty much closed communitys after some period of time. Of course there are a lot of if's but whatever.

    It's just a lot saver to play on the 'global' server. That's just my personal opinion though.

    I will start to play on ES Server and im not sure if i will create in the future another one on EN, we will see the players in the servers and the activity on them.

    well as long as you have your slav... ahm i mean friends it should be fine. but well for since they started the game as multy server one the merge is a bad idea if it started as a eu server it would be far better. but unfair as some new players might find some other already far too strong to even get close to.

    When we have literally waited months for and English release and then people plan to join non-english servers (－‸ლ)

    I think they are making mistake by opening so many servers, i understand the language barrier but they could just throw language-specific channels or something like this. If not the fact that polish server will probably be deserted I would go for polish but sadly that's not the case so I'm gonna play EU :).

    Yea, but it's 1 Mega server, with the number of channels equal to 3 servers that were befor. It's because of the Node War and Siege mechanic in the game that requires a much bigger numbers of guilds that each server had ( over 100 Nodes and 5 Territories to fight over).


    Tbh I would prefer one mega server, I like to always have some ppl to play with since I'm party player person, not solo :).

    Maybe they see this and realise that people dont really like the idea of having alot of servers :(

    Oh well as long as i am in the most populated server guess it doesnt metter i just feel bad for idk PL and FR server D:

    That's what players were saying about Black Desert Online, but the game never died. And when they released it on Steam, it attracted so many players, we had massive lags for like 2 month, and the lags never fully went away, it keep on lagging even today because of the massive population, and the publisher decision to only have 1 Server.
    Steam can surprisingly bring in a lot of players.
    If players give in to panic, and all start rolling on Candus - it will be a lag fest for sure.

    And Candus will not be an English community but an international one, with over 20 languages.

    There were other new MMORPG releases which all launched on Steam like Closers and Kritika.
    Both of them are dead for the most part. BDO is different as it doesn't only appeal to the Anime Community and it doesn't have gender lock which a lot of people dislike.

    Since the topic is about servers, does anybody know for sure if servers are going to be client-related? I mean, it will probably be that way, but if that’s not the case you could actually play with your main in your native server and eventually still have a “backup” character in the “global” server, isn’t that right?

    Closers is not dead with the official realese a lot ppl are coming to the game Eu is like 4 channels full and Na 6-7 channels full of ppl
