I really hope this is only temporary...

  • I just saw the Maint announcement and most of it sounds good... except the loyalty guild skill removal.

Now, I know that there is such a thing as "it doesn't exist yet so we're removing it temporarily" and I reaaaally hope that's all it is.

Then again, this kind of means that it's probably going to be a while until we get the system either way which is ridiculous. It's a feature we should have had right from the start honestly. There's so much NPC interaction already lost, loyalty vanished into the nether...

But yeah, as I said. Hope it's temporary. =A =

  • What did loyalty do exactly? I saw it but I haven't been high enough level to do stuff with my guild yet.

some items you can buy at npc's are locked, when you don't have enough favorability

also you get some bonuses when your favorability is high enough

like npc's sending you gifts, a reduction on repaicosts, enhancing costs a 3% bonus on enhancement successrate

    things like that

  • Well npc loyalty is not yet in the game. Soooo having a skill that gives bonus to not existing loyalty does not make sense.

When loyalty is implemented the skill will also come back.

  • They're only removing so that people stop buying it thinking it does anything, really.

Like I said, I really sincerely hope that is the case, and that we'll get it back once it's implemented. But you never know... Past experiences have led me to expect the worst in cases like this.

They're doing it with other content right now because it's not supposed to be there so you might as well clean up the interface. You can probably ask them about it on twitter and they'll say it will be back.
