Revive teammate.

  • I wish there is a system that allow you to revive your teammate.


    Right now when you died in boss you can only abandon the mission or lying on the ground until your teammate finish the dungeon. However choosing the second one means you encumber the whole team, since the boss get stronger as the player increase.

    Therefore when people died in boss today will usually quit the dungeon and leave the team so that the difficultly will be reduced immediately and they can save up the energy too. But I just want people finish dungeon together. Seriously, we are playing MMORPG, not an Arcade game that push you insert coins.


    Although we still have an option to use Respawner, but considering how precious Respawner is at this point, who would like to use it unless you party with your close friend or have a quest want to finish in urgent? In my case, I won't use it if I just died in an auto-team; I prefer to say good-luck to them and leave the team quickly so that the boss will be easier to deal-with and I can save half of my energy and Respawner. I also won't blame people who doing this to me, since the system we have right now making this annoying situation a win-win option to the players.


    So why don't we make a change to it? Having a revive system will not only make the game more interesting, but also will bound players closer and increase the willing to party with others beside the insignificance party bonus we have right now. I mean, while you lying on the ground, there is even a 'dead' sign floating above you head on the map; what's the reason we receive this notice if we can't even help them up? Just embarrassing them?:/


    The best teammate-revive example I can image is from GodEater, which you can approach the Incapacitated one and share your health to revive your teammate. There is an animation lock during the revive and it makes the battle even more exited. But of course we don't have to make exactly the same. If we can only have a way to revive our teammate, even with limitations, I'm satisfied with it (but please, don't cost Respawner, I beg you).

  • I'm okay with the revive system right now. I think using respawners to revive friends is a good thing, but I really just want team respawns to be better. I don't want to use them just for nobody to die the whole run.

  • I would like to have a better way to obtain respawners and/or team respawners instead since this latter is only obtainable via cash as far as I know, I think that would be easier to make and would be the only 'nu good enough' thing compared to other games revive system. In other games I know you have limited res stuff that gets reset daily and other features.


    At Dragon Nest you have 5 daily res and you get some special res trough the level box and events which are only used once you spent your daily ones or you wanted to revive a teammate. However there are nests which limit them and some does not even allow you to res.


    At Elsword you have 10 daily res and you can use them to res your teammates. However there are dungeons which limit them.


    At ToS you can just 'restart from the entrance' but in case you want to save time (and exp/drops) you can use a res which you can buy with the daily free cash (only enough to buy one per day) but there's also a class that can res teammates.


    At B&S you can res infinitely? Not 100% sure


    The point is that you could say that these games have better revive systems than SW overall but SW does not limit you from revive(unless you can res limited times at GC and/or Primal). So if they just could make respawners easier to get that will be good enough I think (or just create an alt>complete rucco progress>4 respawners for your main with a char that you leveled up until like lvl 11?).

  • something like press F/E and hold it for like 15 or 10 seconds to revive a team mate would be good, or atleast give Stella a skill that revives team mate she's a support character, no?

    Then composing party members for hard quality dungeons would be a thing, instead of yolo rush with x4 Haru/Lily.

  • Why not introduce a Revive for Dzenai system? and scale the price based on character level. I would prefer to spend my hard earned in-game currency over real money. Maybe limit it 1~3 dzenai reveives before needed a respawner?

  • I think the revive token mechanic needs to go altogether. Warframe does this so much better. You are given 4 self revives per mission or a teammate can run over to revive you at no cost, but at risk to themselves. I would very much prefer something like this.


    If memory serves, it wasn't always this way and a long time ago they gave 4 revives per day and you have to buy extra revives with real money.


    A system like this forces a tactical decision on the player. Do I risk my life trying to revive the downed Stella or do we try and beat the encounter without her?
