I agree on merging the servers as soon as possible but it's not that deep of an idea, any company with a brain would have already merged by now. we have like 3k players split 50% on NA and the other half across the european servers, just merge them already gameforge, its the only thing you can do to keep your players. (well not like any1 from gameforge actually reads the forum lul)
No you just dont know this company. They give two damns less about what will increase player base. What they are looking at is who is spending money. And every "EVERY" game they have done such ideas on is suffering like no other. Different regions have different play styles. If its not making it in another area it just means the majority does not want to play it.
I would honestly love for all to be satisfied however being realistic. That will never happen. If there were server mergers the first thing any vet. mmo player would think is "the game is in trouble". But its not. Its just in certain regions. And GF knows this already. They are watching the money spent and from where. Simply put those from other regions will migrate on their own to the more populated regions. And GF knows this from exp. Now when that dont work they will just throw everyone together. Which more likely than not will result in many vet. players just quiting (ex. Aion and Runes of Magic). Merging solves nothing. Its like putting a band aid on a wound that's far deeper.
Merging the servers will actually put all cashers in one place and thus increase the supply of premium stuff.
The reason why GF makes so many servers to begin with is because of a very old game GF had tremendous succes with in Europe. A game which functions in the exact opposite way newer asian mmo grinders do.
GF is used to "the more servers = the better", which is absolutely false nowadays. They're not stupid or doing it on purpose, they just don't get it.
Anyways, as somebody who knows this company for over a decade I can say that we're somewhat safe no matter what. Like in their whole existence GF never ever ditched any of their games/servers with a service closure and that's respectable. Like not even ultra dead games were ever closed. This game's situation can only improve. If u ask me getting rid of the bots should be like top priority, number 1 on their list. The merge can wait.
As i said it wont work that way and in no game they have managed has it ever worked that way. Now wait you said you have known this company for over a decade i would say you know of it and never played any of their titles. Because if you truly knew it then you would not be saying that.
Every game "EVERY" that they have merged has been killed. So no clue wtf your talking about. Not to mention i would draw into question about mmos because sorry cashers dont work that way. Cashers are cashers because it means being "better" if you invite the others the party is no fun anymore. And they quit. Its not fun anymore because theres always someone spending more. Where as they are established on a server and comfortable.
Gaming is not much diff from irl. just use good judgement. When people from other areas the were not so well off move in the ones who were there before leave. simple as that. Im a builder IRL so trust me i see it daily. You cannot just throw some people together and say thats its going to work. You guys that say its a good idea has never really given any good reason for it to happen. Other than "we want it". Okay so you play alone?
its a dungon crawler mmo where 95% of the content is soloable.Im not sure what in the world you all are looking for. In all honesty its almost like you guys would as for a group match in Mortal Combat XD.

I've played M2, Elsword, Bitefight and some other titles that didn't quite resonate with me so I kinda droped them in a few weeks. Like, what you posted here is a fiesta of ... stuff I'd rather not say.
There's so much wrong in all this that I don't even know where or what to start with. inb4 thanks but no thanks, I'll pass.

*Mass Inflation*
thats about the most legit post i have seen. But people dont know econ i guess. Just because you move to a new community dont mean the prices will lower just because your there. lol Its common sense but ehhh common sense is not so common. All that would happen is the to earners would absolutely crush those people that could not figure out how to make their way on their previous sever. Simple as that.
People are not realizing they have the damn gold already. So okay if your server is cheaper then the larger servers how are you going to make it here? if anything the prices would go up.
I have to agree with ya 100% STOP lol
-
I totaly agree with the merge of server, hope this tread got more visibility so the dev will do something about it.
-
Doubt they care enough, most likely they have other "priorities". And as long as they have whales being milked, not like they'd give a damn about casual players/f2p or how the steam charts look like.
-
I do not want to see a server merge, the economy will go awry, then u get the crossed isp's which can cause all sorts of issues in game, no thanks.

I agree 100%. Thats why i have said what i have in my previous post. But ya know i guess since well play a fantasy game people like to dream haha

Logical and correct. Cant help but like your post on that.

The lack of player population became a real problem, market is dead, guilds full of afk and build a group takes longer than the raid itself.
I been out for a week but for what my guildmates comment , the server amaryllis still didnt manage to take down "The thing" because lack of players.
A European server merge sounds like a good idea at this point.
-
Honestly,
As a streamer, I get multiple users coming to my channel every day wanting to play with the sol society community and I. They require advice or just request companionship. They are typically from EN server and speak english very well, however, due to server inactivity are missing a key element to the mmorpg forumla. Interaction.I believe a server merge would constitute a better overall community experience for players in similar situations.
-
Whether the servers merge or not, I experience more languages in the NA server that my BFF Google Translate cant handle.
So it wouldnt' really make a difference other than prices and possible shadey ignorance of some sort.
-
Well NA/EN have a bigger community, whereas PL/IT/FR etc. are basically dead. Wonder if any other server besides NA and EN managed to kill D6 Boss "The Thing" w/e you call it, IT did not, DE did not, not only because of crap gear but because of the low player base.
If I'm not wrong this thread wasn't about merging all of the servers, it was about the european ones which lack players, ffs PL does not even have a market. Within a month it'll be a ghost town 100% sure. Also the game started OBT and some picked the server randomly, since they weren't sure if their progress will be saved.
But like I said before no one gives a damn about it anyway. As much as I wish for the dead as hell european servers to merge I don't see it coming too soon, I'm pretty sure that "too soon" is never in fact.

If we follow your logic then GF should admit how they're a bunch of sellouts and only open servers for the rich boys of EU.
I wouldn't even be mad. I would finally have a good reason to learn some german.
Like, the part of the inflation that's actually negative inflation and not A+B=C would result from the discrepancy between the amount of cashers held by each server.
Like let's imagine DE has 10 cashers and EN has 5 and they would merge. The new server would have only 15/20 needed cashers to sustain the previous rate (looking at it from the perspective of "efforts invested vs good gained" rather than the actual price), thus, in this imaginary example, the prices of premium items would increase by 25%. That's a small price to pay for not playing alone if you ask me. Like, I personally buy my own SC and the only thing I really care about is to not play on an empty server.

Merge EN with NA and lets be a happy family - NA has to cope with EU server based in Germany - no? ok.
-
But the ping and lag, I don't think NA should merge with EN any time soon, servers aren't stable. Countless times NA was mia so did EN. At least until they're properly optimized.
-
Well I lived in NA and play in EN because NA Server was MIA when i created my character. So i ended up in EN because i didn't know NA exist since it was in the server list. And I been playing in EN fine with no lag or anything. Well i think better option than merge maybe a transfer ticket will be nice too. =D
-
You obviously wouldn't merge NA and EU. Those servers are at two different locations and the ocean matters in terms of latency unlike the European continent.
I am actually surprised they even made different European servers. Why? Only reason I can think of is "We always did it that way" without really questioning if it is the right decision. However, I think a merge isn't just a question of GF wanting to do this, it's also a question of LG wanting to support GF doing it.
In general I think of GF as a "big company". Slow and conservative, unlike fast an spontaneous startups. They have a lot of games so one of said games doesn't matter that much. Smaller companies may only have one game, so they naturally put more effort into promoting it. On the other hand, because GF has so many games it doesn't matter if one of them is "less popular" as long as another one makes up for it. Of course the popular ones get the most attention.
So will we get a merge? Maybe. We are still in "new game mode" so they put more effort into this game then others. GF has shown in the past that they do listen. It just that it takes extremely long to make a decision, especially such a big one. We might have to wait a year or two.

They should merge all the EU servers in EN Candus
