Official Discord

    This does not detract from the fact that we need an official discord. Please keep the thread on topic. I am sure you do not want to start any more drama. Through your posts and your reactions, we can see that your "community discord" can not be handled by a mere player. We need real moderators, real community managers and real men to be handling these types of platforms. Thank you very much for those quotes though, it sheds a light on how much both of our guilds like the art of "trolling." Except we do it the right way, and your trolling is mere banter.

    Official discords for official games are important. Setting aside whether abuse of power is possible or not, its a product image.

    As said earlier by the BA, there is no official discord managed for us but of course, you can organize yourself. I just want to remember that problems non related with the game or forum have no place here.

    Hmm, I think a Community discord sounds nice but I find those hard to manage. The best example I can find is Not A Whales Discord for Fate Grand Order, Most come there to hang out and talk about the game. It is friendly and fun. Moderated when it needs to be but mostly self regulated because the game is fun and there is nothing to complain to people about. (It is a Solo game with friends to support you)


    I think the forums should be enough for Official word to get out, and maybe a popular streamer will make a nice discord for others to use as a place to communicate, like Fate Grand Order.

    if i may give my honest opinion the gaming community as far as i have seen (10+ years of playing all type of games) is a bad community to build around direct chat such as discord skype , and other kind of chating platforms as they have something called "anonymous ID" no one knows who you actually are so they no longer cares about what they do what they say and well i guess that this is what discord provide banning a user isn't going to do much on discord.

    i think it's even useless to have a discord server tbh. it might hurt the game more then what you think.

    Community discord servers are more miss than hit most of the time. I've been part of many ranging from community ran servers to developer ran ones like the Anthem discord. I have no problem joining a discord server that surrounds this game but would prefer one that is ran by the development team. At the very least, have a few that are admins. The rest of the moderation staff should be made up with those that know how to manage & maintain a growing community. Preferably, adults that have experience with that kind of task.

    The main issue with community ran discord servers is that the Admins/Moderators try too hard to cater to the needs of everyone. What should be a simple server setup consisting of no more than a dozen chat channels usually ends up spiraling out of control. I've been part of gaming community servers that can have up to 30+ channels. Most of which are not moderated so the chatting can be all over the place. Some people that power trip every time someone posts something that belongs in a different channel. It's just ends up turning into a complete mess full of toxic people. On top of that, the server is bound to have people join that have no interest in the game. They will just show up to be as negative towards the game as possible.

    I don’t think gameforge is capable, not saying anything like bad. They just have to many things to worry about. Adding discord to the job description would be just 1 more thing. The fact that en masse does it , and it’s so well preserved. I wish gameforge learned from it and made it as well. It’s free and it doesn’t take much to use. Not to mention the moderators that they are recruiting for the positions can also mod the discord as well.


    Makes total sense in this day in age.


    The only thing we can do is continue to talk about it and push for it to be made. If I learned one thing from playing.


    Is the more you talk/complain they will eventually do it, and they do it quickly.

    Companies cant afford to lose players because of profit.
