Being first doesn't stop others from making more... Alexander Graham Bell made the first telephone, BUT people after him made more/different types of telephones. Some people create greatness, some people leech off of greatness, not much that can be done there. In a way, this situation is like that, albeit much more impactful than a mere landphone.

Frankly I don't want an official discord .... as others have said it's just one more thing that GF has to do and other than small groups they seem to become toxic. Reminds me of IRC from back in the day.
A guild running a discord is a fine thing, but one official one no way.

I believe they made an official discord in GF Elsword with enough people asking for it, from past experience I can tell it's better for the staff to run the discord, so they can maintain it to be professional and not involve players causing drama and toxicity due being in role of power.

i agree with you, you dont want children representing your community. even if the official one is dead at least have one.
The problem is when you have so much power you think your god, until you take an arrow to the knee

The big problem is that in a game that is theoretically starting there is going to be a power struggle, so naturally those who already have some advantage in the community will grow scary considering there will be no dispute since almost everyone will have the same level of influence, except for those who have already gained some advantage in the community... -

Since 25arp26 directed me here @CM.
Since the whole drama with discord happened, it’s been weeks and still no discord has been set up.
Not to mention the fact we’re not even able to promote a community driven one. What the problem was that a bunch of people who are not even interested in the game was trolling the entire forum and causing confusion and ruckus for no reason. Now us as players want to get know other players and gather information from one another’s and can’t.
If you guys are priding yourselves on customer service and customer satisfaction then why not make the discord ASAP. It does not take weeks to set up a discord. Permissions can be done in maybe 30 minutes.
The forums are dead, Myself and I’m sure a lot of other players want to start making friends BEFORE the game is out.

But the unofficial discord is also ded, it's just 4-5 random guys/gals talking about stuff unrelated to SW, the rest like 300+ users don't even cmt, and i don't think that will change at all until OBT at least, so why bother right now?
