Is it just me or does playing Stella make someone a masochist?

Have you tried jumpIng and dodging in the air to avoid his sleep fireworks? Stella is one of the best solo characters for the fight since she has homing skills and an easy source of healing. Just practice dodging.

Kinda hard with lag.

The NA server is in need of better optimization, so it's understandable. You could always try finding a guild to join, and do the mission with some guild members.

It's just you.

Also for a weapon just spam the first chapter of the first or second dungeon on manic. It's like 2-3 rooms. Got mine in less then 10 runs for two alts.

Also the lag might come from the DDoS attacks? If they are still under attack that is.

When Jokaquin is 8x bars he will start using his sleep grenades every time he reappears. You can dodge them or just sprint around him.

I hate that boss in EP.1. Even the mini-boss in Ep.4 manic version is too tanky and they bug alot. One of the joaqines will get stuck on 5xHP

So another thread complaining the price while people still insist on 'you are the only one'. It make me depressed.

You can try look for team 'n' instead of auto team when there is no people (though I believe a 2-ppl party won't help a lot in early stages).

Unfortunately you have to get over it by yourself since the system doesn't being friendly for veterans to help you at this point. I think Stella is still easy to leveling comparing with Lilly since she has less consumption. Price is simply a shame in this game. If you really suffering from it please contact me with the name start with the capital, if you are in NA. I can at least afford you some armors and weapons.

Thanks, you're too kind. Also, I love CN, used to main her. It's just random times during the game my character is able to move but I can't attack and then I end up teleporting back and taking insane damage from the mobs. I don't think my ISP is bad considering I play black desert and other games easily with almost no lag (besides the servers themselves which bdo is getting a different one for NA soon so thank jesus.) It just hurts my runs. Sometimes I restart the game hoping that will help though.

I also have lag problems, but they are not that serious and infrequently.

In fact It's kind mysterious how the connection works in this game. I saw people said they even tried playing the game under a super slow speed (something like hotspot on mobile or ADSL, I forgot) and have no problem on soloing. I also have friend playing this game on the other side of the earth without using VPN. He said there is some lags but not that serious, too.

You can try VPN to boost the speed if necessary. I think there is a chance that could help on solving your problem. I use it when I play mabinogi. It make a huge difference even the server is beside my state.

Something I found out about Jokaquin. Hope this doesn't count as grave-digging.

1. You could not jump over the sleep thingys, and air dodge does not have iframe(I think)

2. It is invulnerable during the small run before disappearing, during the attack, AND after throwing, until it starts the next attack.

Also, not sure about other characters but Lily's 3rd LMB seems to sometimes bug out and not hit if standing too close.

i have foreseen this :< once people move on from the rucco town, people gonna get stuck in there from lv 11 unless they can make a party for manic mode

the key to fight against jokerquinn is to dodge at the right time towards the right direction. That means:

1. If he dissappears, stand an appropriate distance away, then dodge towards him, not sidewards/backwards.

2. His attackpattern gets considerbly easier when you stand close to him and bait/know his attacks.

3. Spam potions if you have to, beeing a stella doesnt mean you should save potions.

I was having this problem too, but since I need to farm card, I figure to fight him somehow. When he transform into a "gift box" (after his his hp x8), he will throw the sleep bom immediately after he reappear. You could use dodge (or running in circle to the box, that's what I do), he will miss. Make circle a bit close to him around 3 meter so you can start hitting him immediately after the sleep bom. If you farming card which need to kill him 6 time to get completion reward, you can naturally 'feel' when to dodge. You can deliver 1 or 2 hit to the box before circling, the box is him. He can be killed when his boxing. On +5 weapon, he can often be kill under 30 seconds without pots

I would not recommend leveling any weapon to +5 at that current point in time. +4 is the absolute maximum you should go to on a weapon, since going to +4 has a chance of failing already, resulting in you losing gold.

As for fighting him, it's all about watching for when he raises his arm to toss out the dynamite. If you draw out the fight and learn his attack animations, it'll be much easier to notice his attacks later on. It has nothing to do with getting a natural feel for the boss, and is more about being able to notice visual cues and responding accordingly. He's one of those bosses that punishes untimed skill spammage, so you're better off comboing him and waiting for openings to use skills.
