International forum or/and Other language posts

  • One of my post recantly have been deleted. I wanted to write a letter to the one who monderated it, but it got deleted befor i could have done it, so now i dont know who to write to, so im bringing up the topic here.
I get the reason why it was deleted, they hit me whit the „its an english forum” and i have no problem whit it, but its frustrating that i cant reach same nationality people on my own language nowhere on the official forums.
There is to ways to solw this issue. One being of opening an international forum. I know that moderating it can be an issue, but there were official game forums who managed grate. I had seen a system where monderators translated every persons first 3-5 messages for themselfes (included the translation under the post sometimes) then if they found it okey, they just let the person unmonderated for the rest of his or her posts. I know its not perfect, but it worked, and in the end people still can make a report if a post is offending.
Another solution is that, you allow people to post in any language if they also provide a translation under the text. Im okey whit translating my own post, im not writing in an other language cause I want to be discriminating and make it impossible to read it for anyone. But why should I have to write in English in regards of an issue that not really any other nationality is interested in, and the post is ment to be for people around my own country?

These are only sugestions, and im really interested in what others think about this metter.

  • On the forum you have the appropriate "sections for languages, so I personally see no reason for someone to write in English on the Polish forum or vice versa.

  • But there are a lot more languages whitch have no forums. For example im hungarian.

    Hello!

It was deleted by me. I wrote you a message in the thread:

If I remember correctly I waited two days (approximately), nothing happened, so the thread was deleted. If you have a problem or you dont know who has removed your thread or comment simply send a PM to any moderator.

  • You guys see this from a wrong direction. If you post in another language a mod for that area cannot read this. So he or she does not know if you are breaking the rules. Same applies to everybody not able to read said language. He would not know if he or she got insulated.

What we have is what can be supported. For everything else you should make your own forum or discord. If I go to an international conference and join a discussion, it would be very rude to suddenly start speaking in my mother tongue.

  • Hello,

The Off-Topic section could be a good place for it. You can open a thread there, in your own language, looking for players from a certain server. However, and since we are limited, we can't accept every language in the world because as Nitros said, a thread opened in a not "official language" from the actual Communities could end up being troublesome to moderate.
