So I just got to Ruin Fortess...

    And I was thinking "I've been through Jokaquinn as a noob, tried to solo Ravan, what could be worse?"

    Maybe I'm just a complete noob and Manic is just not for me

    Manic is not that difficult. Just get a decent weapon and enchant your gear (+4 is good enough).

    Just don't face tank attacks. Analyze the attacking patterns and predict when bosses are going to attack. Some of your attacks may have long animations/or can't be cancelled, so knowing their patterns helps.

    I just reached Ruin Fortress as well, but I haven't done that boss you mentioned. Ravan was indeed annoying, but his attacks either didn't hit that hard(compared to previous bosses), or gave obvious animations for you to dodge to his back/run away (such as those blades that rotate around him).


    The only issue is the annoying paralysis caused by the effect tiles. There is probably a pattern for what effect the tiles will exert and where they will appear, but I personally just killed him ASAP to get it over with and turn in the quest.

    It's a boss version of a normal mob. The ones who stump on the ground and actually has normal looking arm. There is almost no reason to fight him again except for one normal quest. I remember this boss because I found him pretty unfair. Not only are there those fire pools, he also gives you little opening to attack.


    Personally I would just ignore him after the quest. Not worth the effort, although on Stella he is doable thanks to kite + heal.
