My opinion about Soulworker(western servers)

  • For me when i first started this with my friend it was fun i'm going to list the pro's and con's of Soulworker(western release) for me.

    Pros

    -very anime

    -cute graphics

-cute chars with some fanserve for those in need of it.

-action combat(more to that in the cons)

    -nice looking world

-decent story with bunch of cutscenes

    Cons

-pvp.not that it exists but that it exists being the state it is,it's basically forced, soulworker didnt have any pvp originally but the devs forced it into the game just so players have something else to do once they are through with the pve,it's very unbalanced and a cc hell you can clearly see this game wasnt designed to pvp

-lack of characters,I know there are 2 more characters on the korean version but Im talking about the western, only having 4 base classes without any subclasses to each class is very boring for me that is,Im used to games like elsword kritika closers while their systems are diff from eachother they all have progression in their classes, you are able to chose or progress through the class/char you want as you lvl, here you stay a base class with no change besides new skills, combos.

-combat,now I said it was a pro cause of being action combat yep,but the thing about this that bugs me is it being very simple and slow,Im used to kritika combat where it's way faster and more fluid than here and just couldnt get over this which made me quit in the end.

-cash shop, this isn't the fault of the game indeed but it's really too overpriced being a dressup game i thought of the costumes being rather cheaper

-lack of endgame content,it's just not enough to keep you busy for long unless you're a diehard fan of this game and keep spamming dungeons even if you have nothing to gain from it anymore

-market inflating very quickly not sure where this will go in the long run but it doesn't look very new player friendly

-lack of skill diversity, basically everyone is running almost the same build on every char how is that fun?

-now this might be silly for many but I personally dislike the low dmg numbers,I'm a fan of seeing huge numbers on my screen and many numbers it's a personal satisfaction so not really an issue with the game just my personal thing.

Now what are your thoughts about this game?

  • Opinions after finally getting play:

    -Low FOV.

-Keybinds are hard to hit, not sure what to rebind them to, to make the game comfy

    -Good arstyle

-Good combat, feels meaty and fun

-Stamina system isn't terrible to be honest

    -Overpriced cash shop

    -Good playerbase

    -Fellow anime fans play

-From what I hear, not a lot of content at endgame

-Game is very difficult, you take a ton of damage, not sure if this changes later

-Bosses are kind of clunky, dodging them is a pain in the ass because they tend to move without animations

    -enemies rotate in place

-It's hard to dodge because you can't see what enemies are doing clearly, you just spam dodge after every attack

    -XP rates are really low

  • -Shop is really a bit overpriced(or not "a bit"), but that is gameforge. just take it as it is.

-I like how there is no that much endgame content. Im just not forced to play 24/7 for be able to play at endgame. I just can play after work 2-3 hours and still have enough stats for play at endgame content.

-Combat is really good, but not for all, some love non-target system, some love target system.

-XP rates is ok. Seems like someone just never played games where XP rates are REALLY low. Just got my 55 and 40 champs in ~21 days. And didnt play non-stop.

    -My keybinds are Q E R 4 C X 5-for nova skill.

-Game is not difficult, but not so easy. Just need a little practice, and you ok.

-Sometimes bosses move really strange, like with no any animations. Or teleporting, but not like lags, just strange things.

-Market now is "balancing" i think, just wait a bit.

-I've disabled any numbers and set graphic effects on low. I just cant play when there is so much things on my screen. That is action mmo, u supposed to concentrate on battle, not on numbers.

P.S ENG is not my native, so dont mind if there is so much mistakes.

  • Hmmm, here is how I feel about the game

-shop overpriced, but not so insane compared to other games, at least its not pay2play

-Combat is kinda fun, I just really really wish there was a long range class(what I normally play in every other mmorpg)

-XP rates are actually one of the highest I've ever played, Idk about other people's experiences but I've never hit max level in <2weeks in a game especially with an energy system.

-Difficulty, obviously now that im max level with somewhat ok gear, the games really easy, but from my first runthrough, i'd say level 1-24 was somewhat difficult, level 25-49ish was apiece of cake, then struggled at 50-55 due to the fact that you actually need to grind now. But considering I play this game while watching anime, its not too bad imo

Heres a hint: Spend all your money you earn on early levels to buy a Unique Weapon and then minimum +4 it, in this game, offense>defense completely. Once you hit 55, the money you spent is irrelevant anyways

-does lack a bit of endgame content, but I could wait a bit while GF sorts things out with LionsGames, usually NA versions of KR games are 2years behind anyways

-my main issue is the lack of transparency and communication between playerbase and GF. But I guess that's their style. If GF had half of what blizzard(Overwatch) does with their communication(literally gives plans for the next half a year of upcoming changes/content), I'd be in love with the game

-Really wish therees a bigger FOV

  • PROS

    -good combat

    -cute girls

    -Guitar loli

    CONS

    -NO EVENTS

    -NO COMMUNICATION

-NOTHING TO DO WHEN YOU'VE MAXED OUT YOUR GEAR SINCE EVERYTHING DIES IN 1 SHOT

-NO EVENTS! (seriously? No launch event or nothing but thank god they're updating that cash shop am I right?)

Give me the raid already I'm tired of having nothing to do! I WANNA GRIND!

  • My PERSONAL OPINION after reaching lvl 55(dont waste your time argue against this post) :

    Pros

    -Good Combat

    -Nice Design

    -A shitload of dungeons

    -4 Free characters slots

    -Guitar Class

    Cons

-Not a proper open world and your only way to xp is to do the SAME dungeons a lot

-XP Rates LOW,i wouldn't mind the XP low if the game keep being fun all of the time just like Blade&Soul (the xp rate was also low there,in my experience) but no because of the fact that you need to the >SAME< boring dungeon over and over again

-EVERY dungeons is faceroll, all you need is dps and use your HP potion

-Not even one real dungeon in lategame

-The upgrade gear system is horrible

-Not a real event to make most of the playerbase stays

-The dungeon that everyone is talking about : "The Primal". It looks pretty good when you see the boss and his attacks...

But guess what, this is a "raid" with only 1 boss (not even some mobs/mini boss before) and all you need to is DPS/HP Potion the whole fight just like the others one

There is no strategie like any proper hardmode dungeon ,which is a shame in MY opinion

-The item that reset your skill points is >>cashshop only<<

-a lot of "little" things so i'll just say "lack of quality of life"

I'll stop here ,i expect someone to try to change my mind after this post but dont ever try ,it'll waste your time thanks (this post was not meant to make everyone agreed with me,i dont care if you disagree)

Edited 2 times, last by Haruna ().

Judging from your post, I guess you never actually did or even saw a video doing Primal Raid.

The raid has 1 BOSS, true that , but not only him. The four big tentacles, the mobs/elite spawn during the fight, The Cores which need to be destroyed to process the fight, and lots of small tentacle which likely to send you flying through the screen.

All you need to do is DPS/Potion ? Yes, try to do that and you can survive for 30s at best. Unlike most of the dungeons, the Primal Raid requires proper preparations and strategies ( not too many though ) , since the boss ( and the big tentacles ) can easily 1 shot any1 even in JP which is the easy version of this game. In our version, I expect it will requires high/insane gears as well as good leader who know how things work around to clear when it first comes out.

Just want to correct things about Primal, not gonna mess with the rest since it is your own opinions/feelings towards the game.
