alt farm nerf

  • On top of that I would like to say that most players once they quit a game they quit it for good, me included, it's not like I'm gonna keep track of soulworker status if I quit, i'd just find another videogame and focus on that ignoring this one, so, every 10 players they lose only half of them might be coming back into Soulworker or should I say soul.worker since for some reason you need to type ser.ver and c.mon and frag.ments like this, yep, not the shadiest thing ever btw.

  • If people want to have a less p2w game, then people need to stop complaining about expensive cosmetics lol

What would happen if they jack up the price of hairstyles back to the old rates, made costumes 1.5x more expensive to compensate for the loss in Akasha and AD sales, while making anti-destucts and akasha easily farmable in game?

Will they make money? Or will people just downvote the game for having "limited customization?"

I'm sure the game will be fine, as long as they have fun content, a capable Dev team and update frequently.

Hell even old games where the devs flat out said "we aren't updating it anymore just maintaining servers" they went back and updated it for the players who still played (pocket legends)

  • Doing the level 11 route was the most time-efficient method to not want to hate yourself while also spending energy on your main. An efficient 11 route takes about an hour each for the average decently-geared player. 14 QBD route is roughly an hour and a half. 24 100% Candus route is 4-5 hours depending on adventurer rank.

Going onwards to Grace is possible for additional Strength Expansion Tickets and Socket Implants, but 100% Grace is out of the question on an alt run and a horrible use of time.

People who wish to try to farm semi-efficiently should consider doing the 24 100% Candus route thrice a week. You'll get around 90 less Akasha Transmitter and about 40 less Anti-Destruction. You will also get less than half the Grutin Coins. This is if you were doing 11 routes 21 times a week.

You will gain 36 bank slots, 3 Strength Expansion Ticket, a bunch of Akasha Relic for crafting one-star cards, some Weapon Upgrade Chips.

51 Akasha Transmitter, 45 Anti-Destruction is what you should expect from around 15 hours of work, vs. 147 Akasha Transmitter, 84 Anti-Destruction for 21 hours.

The toughest part of this is for your entry-level farmer. Level 11 routes were extremely easy to gear for and to complete even for a beginner to the game. These level 24 routes are more taxing and require a good level 16 EXP weapon + adventurer rank to make it not too tough. It is likely many farmers will not find the new farming schedule worth their time.

That being said, it should certainly be stressed that farming any Akasha Transmitter or Anti-Destruction is not possible in the other versions of the game. In JP, the bank is not account-wide, and the progression rewards are RNG boxes. In KR, district progression was nerfed significantly so that it's definitely not worth your time.

Relative to what we have now, this nerf hurts a lot. Relative to the other versions, we still have it pretty good. Chin up, Soulworkers, for those sticking through, you can still do your best. If they nerf this further, then it would serve as a true testament to greed.

We literally have none of that :D

    Please explain why.

Lion games does not show signs of closing down soon, not with a new raid and class advancement coming out. Neither do the steam charts show the game dying. Every game experiences a spike doubling their population after a new expansion/release, then dies down to about 50% until the next spike. 5k concurrent players is reasonable for a niche anime game.

  • Agree with this Part

  • Just a lurkers opinion, I don’t particularly see this as a bad change. In most games there is a week long restriction on deleting new characters and creating a new character. I’m not even sure why people would want to “farm” with this method. For me it was very tedious starting from the beginning over and over again. I would rather just play on my leveled main and alts.

Instead they should implement more ways of getting cards in a daily or weekly basis.

    1. Lion Games is a competent dev team, thats why the game is doing decently well in JP and KR. But when you have a incompetent publisher like GameForge who handles pretty much everything outside of content, theres the problem.

2.Steamcharts shows -21% in 2 months of the game's release. Games usually are on an upward climb for ~3months, then stagnant for a few after that, then experience player drop. This game has been downhill since launch. Theres been a revamp raid+new pvp mode, but its still on decline, because players have lost faith in GF, not the game.

    3. 5k is the PEAK nowadays, keep in mind that this stat is also across 7 SERVERS. Average is more like, 4k... And this is before the launch of the update, excited to see how that will affect their game :)

    >In most games there is a week long

I stopped right here because this is a blatant lie.

  • Stop calling this "exploit". Or are you going to say that suiciding in missions to only lose half EP is an exploit too?

It was changed because it made GF lose money. That's it.

I’m sorry, I should have elaborated. I meant most MMOs that I personally have played.

  • i agree with competent dev but after weeks of release and the big hype for the game. not even a big update nor update to make something for level 55 people to do now. Why not make it 3 days delay rather than 7 days?
no really, most other publisher that released a "hyped" game bring update to the game to keep the hype up for the player especially after the official release, but GF decided that hype game can last for months without update. your idea is ruining the game please. Just look at steam chart its slowly going down wether you like it or not.

  • If i had enough editing skills,i would make and upload a risitas meme on youtube about this

Anyway now,i'll wait for the maintenance like everyone else

IF Tomorrow i don't see a revert or a new way to farm annonced (or simply any positive communication from gameforge)

I'll unistall and move to FFXIV earlier (i was already gonna move to FFXIV after probably 1 month or 2,but now i'll just hurry up if gameforge release this and stay silent )

  • I think we should all stay positive and give it at least a week before making rash decisions. Remember, they have to play broken telephone with Liongames back and forth a bit before anything official is posted regarding this.

  • I really do love this game, but certainly not the publisher behind it for NA/EU. The European players knew from the beginning that this was gonna happen. This has been the worst experience for me of having to beta test a game and witness it go live with issues that has yet to be resolved. I'm even more baffled by the fact that Gameforge still went ahead and made an official release announcement which contained the following:

    Quote

We've already improved a lot of things, but it's still possible that some server problems will pop up in the future. We're working hard on the bugs, exploits and text errors, so we can give you the best game experience possible.

Two weeks later the live client (Actually I'm pretty sure this is still a beta client) is still in its garbage state as it was during beta, which should have been resolved and polished already DURING beta. This is absolutely incompetent and shows me that you are not capable of maintaining, nor achieving quality product to provide an enjoyable gaming experience for your players. I have seen and heard a great deal of players quitting the game, because the client would crash at the worst possible timing. It still crashes to this very day, either from opening a grutin cube or even during a dungeon run at the final boss. (Not as often, but it's an issue that is still present)

The only improvement I've seen from Gameforge is updating the cash shop every other week with either new fashion, time-limited items, and pretty much just about anything that'll make you open up your wallet for them. Kudos for you on that, since I like to dress up my Lily with new and seasonal fashion. I've yet to see much of an improvement of the game itself though.

I knew someday that this publisher would most definitely kill off a wonderful game developed by Lion Games, but didn't think that it would be so quickly. I never had high hopes to begin with that you would try to "redeem" yourself as a failure of a game publisher after having witnessed the events that have transpired up to this point. Time and time again you continue to show incompetency toward your players. You try to fix things, but you're basically fixing what is never broken. The real exploit here is this game publisher and it needs to go.</rant>

    :stella4:

If the changes made for this longer lockout period of creating/deleting a character happens to be compensated in any way, shape, or form, then great. Not holding my breath for it though. I'll still continue to play (or maybe not) and level up an army of Lily alts, but hell if I know how long I'll keep that up for, now that I have to invest quite a bit more time on an alt at a time. Ball's in your court now, Gameforge. Good luck.
