Pre download & patch

that would be nice if we could cause some people might have trouble downloading it or may take some people longer to download then others

i think it will not have a preload and everyone can download at the same time

probably but as i said be nice cause people could have download issues or it takes some people for ever to download but your probably right

Having a pre-download option would be a good idea for people with a low internet speed but at the same time it might gives a small headstart to some players. On the other hand a pre-patching would be a great idea since it's mostly some fixes / events / new stuff that are generaly applied to the game on a server maintenance and some games are already doing some kind of pre-patching before the maintenance (i won't name them since i don't know if it's against the forum's rules)

anyone on forum would know about the game so a pre download wouldn't give anyone an actual head start who really knows about the game and has been on forum cause anyone who been watching forum would see the pre download and anyone who did that would still start same time as everyone else who pre download anyone who sees it late well thats there own fault basically

i guess maybe we get it 1 day earlier so everyone has enough time to download

thats fine anyone who comes after that would just have to download once the download is out

or we get it if the open beta date is revealed

i've seen someone in the introduction thread that he never did played SW and doesn't really know the game.

But apart from that, i can see the reason why a pre download could work anyway. Let's just hope that their server would be open to pre download before their opening once we'll reach there

There is no pre-download planned but considering the size of the game (~5 GB), it shouldn't be an issue.

Only 5 gigs? Pretty small game 0_o

I think Runescape is bigger than that

well this is the size of the game from about 8 months ago (several patchs has been since and server since the game was released in jp)

so yeah the lowest time to download this much is about 10h straight (with mine about 5~6 hours or maybe half that time - has other internet sources-) pretty sure i can join on the first day but well, til they give us a release date we don't really have to think about it.
