use middle names in Japan, middle names for the Japanese themselves
are completely unheard of in Japan. Which is why these characters don't have middle names. Lol -

The developer is korean, but the game was first launched in Japan and had Japanese voice actors voicing the characters, believe the world is also set in Japan too, hence why they decided to launch it in Japan due Japanese dubs being popular.
