Enhance/Refiner Quality % Bug after update

Refinement % on many other gears (e.g. Vicarious Calling weapon) have been scrambled as well, and it's strictly a visual change. You can refine these items, you just won't know what % they were previously unless you memorized them before the maintenance.

I thought it was safe, as it was supposedly a visual change.

Being curious if I could enhance my +8 weapon (previously roughtly 93% with 7650~ atk) to a "true 100%" (around 7760 atk), I decided to reroll my guitar.

    Example of a "real 100%"

However after rerolling my own weapon, this is the result:

It does not go any higher from the nearly 100 times I tried enhancing.

Considering my guitar had around 7650 attack before, i just lost nearly 200 attack that I can never regain, not to mention the 30m+ on refiners and nearly 200k aethar that was spent on this...

I don't know if this is fixable, but it's definitely something to be wary of.

  • Someone mentioned in another post on enhancement that the attack range was modified to be lower on the weapon during the last patch. In fact, when I checked the crafter NPC, it seems like almost all the lv 55 weapon ranges seem to have changed.

  • I made a post about this the other day. Its true the attack ranges of all the 55 set weapons were nerfed from 1513 to 1450 roughly but existing weapons were not affected. I believe the exact point is 84% old quality is now 100%. So if your weapon was 84 or greater before you shouldn't refine

So it's not actually a visual bug at all

  • if it shows 100%, it's really a random value between 99.50% and 100.00%, the game rounds the values.

A true 100% weapon should have +35% more attack compared to a 0% weapon.

  • A true 100% weapon should have +35% more attack compared to a 0% weapon.

They do, however that's based on the new range of 1452-1959 instead of the old one wich was 1512-2041. They changed that recently and since than, when you refine your weapon or craft a new one, this new range is beeing applied. They didn't change already existing weapons though wich is why many weapons changed from 85%+ to 100% after that patch. Wether this is wanted or not, it's an undeniable disadvantage for new players.

Are they going to fix this?

They might fix it if this was a bug-report instead of a discussion-topic.

This means my sword crafted at the beginning of the game at 100% is essentially a masterly version of current crafted blueprint swords, nice to know lol.

Question now being, was the range of the weapons being changed intentional or not?
