The negativity from some is inexplicable to me. We have received Jin and now housing in the span of a few mere weeks. As has been pointed out, we're almost caught up in content to the KR release of the game. How many localized MMOs can say that? And given the pace of the updates, how can you doubt Iris is around the corner?
but where's iris tho

Honestly. Soul Worker, given the amount of time its been out already looked small to begin with. So there isnt that much in the game to begin with. But I see pontential thats why Im (Hopefully) not wasting my time. That being said. At the rate they are going they are like going SUPER quickly compared to other games. Are they doing the best? I cant answer that since Im not a programmer or a game developer of some sort. Usually games that try to catch up to a mother server (From my personal experience) Have major patches Every month, And new like events or cosmetic releases every two weeks.(( (Btw Im agreeing with you Biestmann Im not taking jabs at you))). Because if they threw all the updates at once Im pretty sure everyone is going to scream about more stuff we dont have like events, which isnt common sense and a bad business practice, Its a MMO thats being played with Real time, not a RPG game that you play alone that you progress with all the content at your disposal. Thats the one positive and negative about online games. They constantly add new games but you have to wait for what you want. Games that you own, you have everything that you want and eventually go out of date and you get bored, which goes for MMOs too however they can have various more tools for versatility. GameForge isnt the Blue fairy to your Cinderella, No bibbity Boppity Boo, No flick of a Stick, will bring everything at a snap of your fingers. Just be happy that we dont have to play in JP or a much more restricted KR server. Anyways thats enough rambling. Zzz.

Now they come with the housing update........nice, gucci wow......no thanks, give me my main character first - gameforge please whats the point of housing if I can't even work on it for my future main? glad all the lillies and harus are having fun, not logging in for awhile I guess. Saving my money instead - deal.
Guess we'll be waiting another eternity, Im not grinding a character Im not gonna play aside from GC because the armor doesn't require you to be a character to wear to I may as well just prepare gc set for Iris
Pretty sure housing is shared between all characters.
I don't really class housing as 'playing' tbh. I just mean getting Suzie's set or stuff that is char locked. I don't have any motivation to get that for a character I'm not going to play after her release
If u play on EN, let's level together - a friend of mine also joins us - pm me your name once you created your iris!

Sounds fun, also if you've looked into Iris' extensions I want your opinion on 2 in specific
The first was bullet storm, I'm conflicted whether I want to use range increase or meteor fall
The second is earthquake which I'm conflicted on Volcano and Fire pillar
Both for each seem viable I just dunno which I'm gonna go for so I'm wondering what you think lol -

I know it sounds a bit general, but it really depends on your playstyle. In my opinion you should go for armor break because the damage is already insane. The thing is that I don't go by the meta of others so it's not a good idea to give my advice since I'm more of maximizing the speed of my attacks to make it more fluid. But like this person mentioned it depends on pvp or pve as well. I personally would go for left side of bulletstorm but that's arguable by others that would go for the right side.

PvE focused, doesn't affect me whether short or close range, I want to have a balance of fun and still viable

For those who don't want waste time on characters they don't plan to play on Soulworker seems like not even started yet. Yet it has been like... 5 months since launch? We're waiting since then just for Iris to be released and we don't realy care if there's Jin, Housing or other content released because it pointless without our main character. We don't really care if SW gets content in subjectively faster pace than other MMOs. All we care about is waiting more than 5 months to actually play this game and enjoy it and who knows in which state online will be when we actually get Iris and how many months we still need to wait.

I understand you want to play Iris. But pretending the game hasn't been receiving plenty of updates is disingenuous. So is saying the game has been around for 5 months, when it only entered beta at the end of February and has been officially launched since April. Which means you have been waiting for two months, in which there have been multiple substantial updates that have made a lot of people happy. Unfortunately, you are not one of them.
Make no mistake, I'd like to make an Iris of my own, but what you are doing won't have the character arrive anytime sooner.

I can't really sympathize with you. I almost think it's a bit unfair for you to think that way. See close neighbor, Closers for example. They started with 4 and currently have 12 characters. The 12th one is almost 2 years from the starter on KR server. Will you join NA server today and say.... release her now! I want her! ??
How GF manage the content release to keep players playing is another thing. If they think release Iris fast is a good idea, maybe we will get her soon. If not.... just go play other games while you wait.
-
I personally agree with IMCF just look at E3, the Sony press conference decimated the Microsoft conference. The last of us 2, Ghost of tsushima, kingdomhearts III and many other games that we get soon. That new Spiderman game was sick and can't wait to play it. Just check out this trailer and tell me how epic and detailed it looks:

I understand where you're coming from but gameforge can't really expect everyone to be engaged if they don't have a character they're interested in.

Vitae I think gameforge will dig its own grave with all these new games standing around the corner - besides, they are full aware we want the last character and made our point. Their answer was housing, my answer will be gl hf till you bring quality content. But we might even get primal before Iris so..

Enmasse forum were stuffed with similar posts with players begging about Tina release. So what Enmasse did was Nata release(i believe it just was planned before Enmasse noticed people waiting for Tina so much) and started a vote(!) for players asking "Who you want see next: Tina or Harpy?".
But yeah, we're playing other games as you said. But my point is "Will we be able enjoy playing this game when Iris actually comes out?" and im not sure we will. And it also was just explanation why Iris mains so negative. So we just sit still and keep eating that GF's cactus holding on to our hopes to see Iris one day and be able to play Soulworker to it's fullest.

Yup. If GF remove Haru or Stella and say "Hey guys there's other characters you can use but if you don't want to you can just go play other games until we bring them back after several patches". All Haru and Stella mains will flood the forum down. Sure there'll be players who adapt and switch but it's a minority imo.

Not Gameforge's fault some people are overhyping stuff. If they decide they don't wanna play any other class but a future one, they gonna have to wait it out. It was their decision after all.

No no im not blaming GF or whine on purpose. Just tried to explain why people so negative in my opinion. Im wating for Iris as everyone else and hope it'll be soon.

Iris Yuma It's just at a point where GF doesn't even directly address their community anymore, they just throw an update every now and then. It's not well organised and its never clear whether they are listening or not. We could have gotten a few companies happy to port Soulworker and we got stuck with Gameforge...
