I just used 3 mega brooches on my top and supposedly got my set bonus for 15% defense and 12% hp. It displays the set bonus correctly under Brooch Set Effect ingame. My actual hp did go up a little, but my defense did not change at all! Can anyone explain why?

Well, any %-based increase is based on your base-value. A Level 55 Haru e.g. has a base-defense of 345, so the set-bonus is gonna be a defense-increase of 51. Other characters probably get even less. However, the effect is there, at least when I tested it right now. Hope this helps.

Maybe Stellas have no base defense? It's been a while, but I don't recall seeing any difference on my Stella's defense.

Referring to the Mega Guide, Stellas have 275 base defense at level 55.
