It's been a while since I wrote this. As I finished Grace City, I might as well review certain stuff.
In terms of Candus, that chapter is really sad. Really sad... City is gloomy as fudge, districts are not helping matters either. Albeit to be honest, it WAS Catherine's fault for being overconfident in her own abilities that caused this mess to begin With.
In any event Henryk is... An OK villain. Sure, I saw better, but he really works like a chess master trying to fool others. Which he successfully does. It was an really emotional chapter and when you have to return during the next chapter and see that the only one left in their right state of mind is Shade of all people... Yea... Heartwrenching.
Grace chapter on the other hand is much more happy-go-lucky but still keeps it's seriousness. The dialogue made me laugh several times, esspecialy cause I Play as Lilly and when she gets called "dearest Lilly", she losses it. Toru is absolutly best side character yet. I mean, the dialogue he has, my God!
However, one flaw I have is that despite the situation turning serious with a character death (in an rather uncerenomius way, considering the implications for the entire chapter, but then again, this is war.), the happy attidue never dissappears. Even Chloe is kinda dumbfounded.
Speaking about her, I absolutly give this game a big plus for making her an actual character and not just your personal support girl. Her backstory is really depressing and explains why does she Want you to get back from every mission alive and in one piece.
In any event, the story is OK. It keeps the flow of the game. Esspecialy Grace's side mission dialogue is important. It explains a lot of futher actions in game.
In terms of Gameplay, I have to say, game is kinda becoming a bit harder, but that was to be expected. Lilly's play-style really suits me. Now that I had accually decided to care about my weapons in armour in more detail, it makes it an interesting calls whenever to sacrifice potental strength for CRIT rate or other dilemas. However... Upgrading needs to have higher odds. Because it can end in a ridicolus situations. Also, more Aethar. And some bosses need a nerf. Angus caster comes to mind as one of the first. Sure, I can win w/o revive, but...
That is all I wanted to say upon the new stuff. If I didn't say anything about something, my previous opinon stands.
