Implement events based of Soulworker JP. Hangames usually comes with very nice and interesting events. I believe there is one now where you do dungeons and get a token. 4 of these golden coin tokens will open up a special box with a chance of gaining a nice bunny ears outfit or a swimsuit. Japan has multiple events and this will also give a good image to your company aswell. Instead of people saying "Gameforge is bleeding people's wallets dry", it can turn into the opposite of that.
You want to make this game to succeed, then please look at other game companies and how they handle things. For example NCSoft has good events for blade and soul, you do some dungeons and get a reward from it like a nice outfit. This will also be more welcoming to new players aswell as old players.
Here is an example of the way other regions handle events:
http://hg-soulworker.gamecom.jp/board/event/73
http://hg-soulworker.gamecom.jp/board/event/78
You can use Google translation if you can't read it and it explains it just fine.
Game events is what keeps the majority of people playing. It may be nice to mindlessly grind, however, wouldn't it be nice side events players can do together with their friends?
This message is purely for gameforge members, please do not reply or go white knight mode thank you kindly.

That golden coin event looks hella nice. It would also make raids feel less stale.
Yeah this game can use some monthly events. The weekend EP events in this game reminds me of BDO's weekend XP events. But on top of that, BDO also have more substantial (and rewarding) monthly events. Monthly events are pretty standard in most MMOs I play.
Monthly events keeps players logged in doing stuff, which is what this game needs considering the steady decline in population I'm seeing both from observations in game and from Steam charts.
I don't even expect them to do much. Even if they just rehashed the Easter event every month (maybe change around the rewards once in a while), it would be better than nothing.
'Shut up and give me money' ~~Gameforge
Joking apart, would be nice to see any kind of ingame event. I was expecting something for the official release but nothing. We just had that poor Easter event till now...
Something that get you to login and do some districts is definitely nice to have (common model many games use to keep players online for maybe at least few minutes). The rewards don't even need to be as juicy as Easter event's ones.

BDO is not really in the same category though. There the lvling is unlimited (well soft cap but ya can go further) so there is always something to do. This game is not like that. So to offer out higher rewards has to be a double edge sword.
But i do agree with you they need to do something. As you said even if its just changing around the rewards....hell it really does beat doing nothing lol

I don't see what BDO's uncapped leveling has to do with this, but the point was that most MMOs have monthly events to keep players logging in. The rewards are the carrots used to entice players to do the events.
Other publishers do not make events with nice rewards as charity to players, but as a means to retain a healthy population playing so that they will spend money in the game. This basic concept appears to have escaped GameForge.

^This. There were times I actually wanted to spend money but since the population is decreasing I get iffy if I should, afraid that I'd just waste money if the game suddenly gets shut down. That basic concept is what makes a MMORPG like Elsword still alive despite how I personally stopped playing it due to personal reasons. However, there are many players who are still willing to play and spend money despite how old and possibly outdated Elsword is but due to the content they bust out and an event calendar to let players know what's up, they still manage to keep their audience.
I really want Soul Worker to be successful since I love the game mechanics and many other things the game includes that Elsword didn't but now it's about the lack of communication Gameforge is letting the players in on along with events not keeping players invested.

Best post so far on this forumsite. Gameforge ppl, give us quality content or we riot and end up leaving. Your effort equals our money/stay - choice is yours!
yep ppl dropping the game because nothing really to do, can't blame them tbh at this point, getting tired of Golden Citadel.
tbh if I were to calculate every penny that I've "wasted" on games I don't even play anymore, from the very beginning till today, it would be enough pocket money to allow me to live like a king for at least 3 years.
And I'm like a grain of sand when compared to people who could have literally bought themselves a house by now (or rather said another one, Kappa)
Everything has a finality. Like, investing in games is not a lifetime investment, it's more like going to the club and dumping all of your money in a one night stand.

It obviously does. Because even without events its still has something for a player to do....kinda logical. Not to mention that its just a different type of game. SW really is not a game thats designed to be played like that. Think about logically. If they seriously wanted you to play 24/7 what would be the purpose of energy?
All im saying is yea events would be great. But ehh the more i think about it the results would be the same. Plain and simple they just dont have the content available. And events more likely than not would revolve around the available content which would just equal doing the same thing over and over again. But as more content comes it may get better.

omg I could not have summed it up better lol XD. Say but most that complain about spending money in an mmo are the same that kick out 60 dollars for Xbox and ps games. Yet they get mad about 15 bucks or so for a boost packge lol I take it all with a grain of salt and honestly its comical reading the replys. At the end of the day its just silly. People are okay paying for something that last 40 hrs yet not for something they can play for a few months and get board of ehh oh well.

The fact that there isn't enough content is precisely why events are important. As I said before, most MMOs have monthly events to keep players logging in. The rewards are the carrots used to entice players to do the events. The less content a game has, the more important a role events have in keeping players logging into the game,
The fact that you think BDO already has more things to do and yet it still has regular events to help keep players logging in only reinforces the need for events in this game which has much less to do.
As for your comment about playing 24/7, events do not need to be played 24/7. Something that would entice players to log in to do something for like an hour (or even less) a day should be sufficient. You didn't play 24/7 with the Easter event , did you?

Sorry man my idea of events and experience of events are very different from that in other mmos. if your telling me that logging in 30min -1hr a day is going ot make a person spend money that does not even sound logical. Never have I payed a game with events short like that before. Personally if its that easy then i wouldn't even want it in the game. Just screams make alts.
Look i like to pay a game not just for a reward or just to socialize. I like to actually play and 1hr to me is not playing its just killiing time. Hence why i suggest the types of events i did previously. Because im not just after the loot. I'm after having fun and earning the items.
what is this thread? I didnt even know game has events lmao

Second, people don't spend money if they don't log into the game. So the idea is to get people logging in daily to do something. Then they may do something else with others (or solo) once they are already in the game. Its all about trying to retain active playerbase.
Also, nobody wants to play on empty servers. So the time spent doing the event itself doesn't have to generate revenue. Its about keeping the server alive with a healthy population. So that players don't leave due to empty servers and having nobody to play with. The only way they will make money is if players are actually logging into their game.

If you don't believe this, then tell me why would publishers and devs waste their resources to create events and why give players nice rewards? What is their incentive?

A game which depends on events to survive ... that's pretty sad.
Like, don't get me wrong, I'd kill for an event. The problem is that people should login for the actual game.
Furthermore, if you compare this game with similar games that revolve around dressup you will clearly see how our problem is not the lack of events but the low supply of premium content on the market.
There are a bunch of things screwing us over, starting from the bots, to people who buy from the bots, to general trust issues, to the ridiculous prices GF set for the premium currency, to the lack of a healthy PvP environment and finally cashers being spread across too many servers.
